Sabine and Ezra stared at one another, eyes wide.

"Sabine" Ezra said in complete shock.

"W-What's happened to you?"
The wolf began to growl, turning to face Ezra fully as she crouched. Her pupils were enraged slits while saliva dripped from her jaws. Sabine gave a snarl as her tail thrashed. Ezra stepped back a bit hands up in a sign of peace.

"Sabine?" he asked. 

The wolf growled and glared at Ezra darkly.

'She doesn't recognize me, she's out of her mind' Ezra thought.

The wolf began walking forward, slowly and terrifyingly, a growl rumbling at the back of her throat. Ezra gulped and started making his way backwards. Eyeing the wolf's deadly teeth and lethal claws.

'She's trying to make me run' Ezra realised.

'Then she'll chase me, and then...'

Ezra shuddered at the thought of himself becoming wolf chow.

'I can connect with animals can't I?' He thought.

'Since I can, maybe I can help Sabine see reason.'

Lifting an arm to shoulder height, Ezra focused on Sabine and sent calming waves through the Force. Doing his best to bond with the predator in front of him. A snarl made his eyes snap open and Force connection jolt. Sabine ran at Ezra, jaws wide and pupils mad. Ezra gave a yell as she lunged at him. Ducking the wolf's teeth, he stumbled deeper into the cave. Sabine swung round in the entrance, blocking his way out.

"Sabine, it's Ezra, try to think" Ezra said as calmly as he could, but his voice shook with fear. 

Sabine snarled viciously before running at the teen again. Ezra did his best not to grab his lightsaber. If he killed Sabine, he'd never forgive himself. Dodging the large, wild dog, he went to go for the entrance but Sabine latched her teeth around his unarmoured leg making him fall to the ground. Ezra gave a cry of pain and kicked the wolf in the snout. Sabine let go of his limb and gave a whimper of pain, cowering back into the shadows.

"Oh my Force, Sabine I am so sorry" Ezra apologized, going to move forward but his right leg screamed in agaony and blood soaked his jumpsuit.

Teeth gritted, the Padawan clutched his leg, gloves getting stained with crimson. A rough force threw him onto his back and he gazed up at Sabine who glared down on him.

"I'm not your enemy Sabine, try to think" Ezra said.

Sabine growled and went to bite Ezra's neck but the boy used the Force to throw her off. The wolf hit the wall and slumped to the ground, slightly dazed. Ezra struggled to his feet and started limping towards the entrance of the cave. He had to get out of there. Sabine would kill him if he stayed. She was in over her head, not thinking straight.

'She's lost the concept mercy' Ezra thought.

However, Sabine wouldn't give in without a fight. Getting to her feet, the wolf growled loudly and ran at Ezra. The boy turned but wasn't fast enough. Once again, he was pinned down by the wolf. Heavy paws pressed against his chest, forcing the air out of his lungs. He felt like his ribs would crack under the wolf's weight.

"Sabine" he said in a choked way.

"Please wake up...I don't want to hurt you."

The wolf growled but it seemed like an unsure one.

"Please" Ezra whispered, his vision clouding.

"Please come back to your senses. I don't...want...to kill...you."

The boy was struggling to remain conscious. Darkness was swallowing Ezra as Sabine stood above him. Everything was growing blurry as his eyelids began to close. Then he suddenly felt weight lifting off his chest, he could breathe. Ezra inhaled a deep breath of air, things becoming clearer as his vision returned. Sitting up slowly, Ezra gazed at the nightshade blue and indigo wolf who was looking at him intently. Then she opened her mouth. Ezra expected her to snarl but was shocked at what happened next.

"Ezra" Sabine said in a deep, growly way.
