Clara's pov
Okay before I could even stop myself I blurted out the words
" You aren't as bad as I thought you were
Did I just see him smile?" If yes then he has one of the most adorable and most freaking beautiful smile in the world. Weird things were happening since I learned about the wolf world. I could not stay mad at him for long nor could I go away from him for long, it stung, stung somewhere in my chest. I guess I needed to get some answers from him.
It was time for dinner, I made my way down to the dining hall and saw Ernst already waiting there.
" Is this your permanent house? " I asked
" No, this is just an official place, more like an open house for our people. I have a more private house, a cottage, where I live. I would have taken you there but I don't want you to feel insecure or overwhelmed so that's why we are staying here " He said. I took a moment to take that in before I said
" I want to shift there, having so many servents and people walking around here is becoming a little to much" I said it was true, every few minutes, maids would walk around addressing me as their future luna and kept staring at me. I hardly was left alone and growing up alone, I. Really loved my privacy.
" Of course " He said as he shifted his focus from me to Trinister " Get our stuff shifted over there by tomorrow noon and make sure the place is clean and both out rooms are properly made" He said to Trinister as he nodded.
I sat down next to linda who smiled. The servents quickly served us the starters and main course. For desert it was ice cream, mint ice cream my favourite.
After dinner I was walking up the stairs with Ernst at my tail
" It's nice seeing you warm up with the pack" He said as he walked me to my room
" They are actually quite friendly" I said
" I know" He murdered "if you need anything, just knock at my door" he said
I nodded.
I began to dress for bed when I saw something move across my window. I thought it was just some mind trick but then I saw the window fly open and in was met with another black wolf with eyes gleaming red.
I did what anyone human in such a situation would do. I screamed as it pounced on me
What i knew next was thag Ernst had barged into the room and was gaping at me, the other wolf had gone by now
" What happened love " He asked as his eyes scanned the entire room for possible signs of danger " You're shaking, are you scared ? " He asked and I nodded my head
" what happened?" I noticed that Alex and Trinister had also assembled out side my room
" I saw a black wolf with red eyes enter through the window" I said pointing to the window that had the glass shattered below it I said shaking, for some reason i felt safe with him, now that he was here. I noticed that I was completely crushed against is side and had a death grip on his bicep. " Who was he? " I whispered looking at him.
" A rogue" He said as he tensed up beside me
" Scan the perimeter, get the wolfs gaurds up and find that rogue" He barked at the two wolfs at my door, they bowed slightly and immediately transformed and sprinted down the stairs.
"Clara" He said turning to me " Sleep in my room with me. It will be easier for me to protect you from that wolf. If you want,I'll take the couch. " He said. I nodded. I knew that it was the most safest option for me considering the fact that I had no idea of how to fend of a wolf twice the size of me.
I followed him into his room and noticed that it was slightly bigger than mine and was completely sophisticated. Surprisingly his room was neat, not like how men keep their room.
" You'll be safe here love  I am so sorry you had to encounter a rogue like that. Did he hurt you? "  He asked
" He pounced on me and was about to bite me ." I said still shaking.
He pulled me into a hug, if I wasn't so scared then I may have tried to get out of it but right now a hug was all I needed. His arms felt so nice and so protective as he stroked my hair calming me down.
" We can't go to my cottege tomorrow, it's not safe. This place is much safer. I'll have everyone assigned to a more protective instinct over here. " He said and I nodded.
" What's a rogue" I asked
" A wolf without a pack. They are mostly expelled from a pack due to some crime they have committed " He said
" Why did he attack me?"
" He wanted to mark you and make the entire pack and me suffer"
" Mark me? "
" I'll explain later. Right now you need to rest. Don't worry love he can't do anything to you. Not while I am here "He said as he stepped back
I noticed that he was preparing g to shift into his wolf form. I looked st him with a question
" It's easier to catch scents , I"ll easily know if that rogue is nearby " He said  I nodded. I was to shaken to ask any more
  question. I felt a gentle nudge if a wet nose on my hand, I looked down and saw Ernst staring at me with his golden eyes. He motioned for me to sit down on the bed. I agreed. He sniffed the perimeter for the room and kept glancing back at me
I had a sudden urge to have him close to me.
" Do you mind sitting on the bed with me? " I asked
He nodded and sprang up and settled down near me. My hands went into his fur as I started letting him. He purred and allowed his head to fall into my laps. At first I stiffened but then I began to pet him again, I mean he was just a giant dog now, wasn't he?. I didn't know when sleep took over me.

Ernst pov
I had just dropped Clara of at her room and was changing into my pj's when I heard her scream. I immediately rushed, rather barged into her room  with my beta and Delta hot on my trail. I could sense our omega also rush up the stairs. What I saw in the room was not good.  The window was shattered  , glass was spread everywhere and Clara she was sprawled on the floor shaking. I immediately helped her up and when she spoke, I was furious.
A rogue had dared to appear into my mates room and attack her, that rogue sure had a death wish. No way was any alpha going to tolerate an attack on his mate. Other mayes could defend themselves but my mate was a human, a fragile human, new to our world and she needed protection, protection which only I could provide.
I practically yelled orders to the entire lack, that rogue was not getting of our lands alive.
I turned to Clara and told her to move to my room, no way was she going to sleep alone. If required I'll take the couch, even though i knew I was not going to take a blink of sleep tonight, not with that rogue roaming around alive. I was glad that she agreed easily.
As she walked into my room. I noticed how she scanned the room, j guessed it was because she was scared. Before I could think the wolf inside me told me to hug her, it overpowered all my resistance. More than me the wolf was worries for her. She hugged me back and my heart did a fluttry dance.
As I changed into the wolf I watched how she say at the edge of the bed scared, I so wanted tk sit there and comfort her but I also wanted to give her space. When she asked me to join her, I was overjoyed.i leaped up next to her and enjoyed the feeling of her hands in my fur. I think my fur to her was a therapy that calmed her down, be whatever the reason, I loved the fact that she loved my wolf form. I was so scared that she would be terrified of it. I guess she's a dog lover.
I fell a slight wait on my back and realsided through the feel of her steady heart beats that she was asleep. I transtimto my human form and shifted her in it a more comfy position, gentlly covering her with the duvet, my omega brought into the room and then transformed back into the wolf after making sure she was comfy. I planted my self on the duvet next to her.
I felt through the mind link that Alex had found the rogue and had killed him. I acknowledged him and thanked him
" Not a the all alpha, glad our luna is safe" He said so was I. Losing her ain't an option.
It was almost saw when I felt her shift and her eyes open
"Did you get any sleep last night Ernst? " She asked in her sleepy voice
I shook my head
" You shod get some rest. I dont think the pack would appreciate a sleep deprived alpha" she said
I shifted back to my human form and wore my pj's. Now that the rogue was dead I found take some sleep. I knew that in days I don't take sleeping get cranky and the entire lack suffers the effects. I walked over to the couch when I heard her again
" I don't mind you sharing the bed. It will be more comfy as compares to the couch" She said
" It's alright the couch -"
" I insist. Come and sleep in the
bed . Kicking the alpha out of his own bed is definitely not a good thing " She said half jokingly as she sat up.
I nodded as I lied next to her.
" I'm glad you trust me enough to share the bed" I said
" With you u , I feel safe and it also helps in removing this weird pain in my chest everytime your away "she said as she laid down and switched off the light, and almost immediately falling asleep. She was feeling the bond, that's a good sign, it meant, she was slowly accepting me as a mate.
