🔅Chapter Four::Chunky:: 🔅

No one's pov

"Steve Borden more commonly known as Sting have been found dead in his house. When his neighbor went to visit him, she got no response and upon opening the door she was met with the surprise of her life. Sting dead on the floor with multiple stab wounds and a knife inches away from his hand. Police reports the death was caused by stab wounds. It is said that he may have committed suicide. The police are still looking into his death. Sting has been hiding out for a while now, so it is really shocking he committed suicide, maybe he got tired or whatever the cost, we wish his family, friends and anyone who may have known Steve our best wishes. He was a guy everyone knew."

The news reporter said over the television. Brie laid in her bed, smirking, she is surprised that they covered up his actual death. Maybe for the sake of not scaring the locals. Brie chuckled and turned off the tv, that was the only reason as to why it was on, she wanted to see how they would have claimed he died.

Randy and Cody on the other hand wasn't so pleased. Their mouths hung open, upon hearing the broadcast, they knew it wasn't suicide. After they left Sting, he wasn't giving any sort of suicidal vibes. He was actually pretty concerned for his life. Why would someone go through all of that not to be found and killed, only to kill themselves afterwards? The reason is that they didn't kill theirselves, someone else did.

"Bullshit report!" Cody shouted, uproared by the lies showed on the television screen. Randy blinked, looking at his brother, at a loss for words, trying to think up something.

"Got it!" Randy declared. Cody was curious as to what he meant. He was angry at the lies and confused by not knowing the truth. So he wants to know what in hell his foster brother 'got'. Before he could ask, Randy informed him. "I'll call Del Rio, he was the one who got us into this mess anyway." Cody wanted to slap himself for not thinking about it but also wanted to hug Randy for thinking about it.

Randy pulled out his phone as he called the policeman's number, him and Cody exchanging looks of hurry, wanting nothing more than for Del Rio to hurry up and pick up.

"Hel-" Del Rio started but got cut off by Cody who instantly jumped at him when he heard his voice, standing next to Randy with the phone on speaker.

"What the hell actually happened with Sting?" Cody asked, having no time to exchange greetings.

"And you best not bullshit us." Randy jumped in siding with his brother, ready to hear what really happened.

Del Rio, covering his face as he walked away from the other police officers who are still at the scene of Sting's home. They are looking for evidence and clues, fingerprints, anything. "Look, I can't tell you guys." He whispered into the phone, telling the hunters.

Randy and Cody looked at each other, upset and stunned, clearly not taking that for an answer.

"What the hell do you mean you can't fucking tell us! You were the one who brought us into this mess in the first place!" Randy shouted, frustrated with his friend on the other line.

Alberto sighed knowing he is right. It's just that he is surrounded and the force doesn't know he brought them here. He called them in so when they discovered who it is, he can turn them in and get that bonus. "Look, it is confidential. I'm sor-" he huffed when his apologies got cut short.

"Listen, it wasn't confidential when you spill everything about that wolf to us. It wasn't confidential when you gave us a reason to come here. It wasn't confidential when you showed us all the files of the bodies that creature killed. So it is still not confidential now. Tell us what the hell happened or you won't see that bonus, shit we might even get you fired." Cody threatened and Randy looked at him impressed, he is usually the one doing the threatening.

Alberto Del Rio gasped when he heard the part about getting fired. He cursed under his breath, walking even further away from the officers. He wants that bonus and he doesn't want to get killed nor fired.

"The wolf. He found him and killed him. We don't know how he entered but he did. He diced his neck off with his claws. Police are still looking for fingerprints or any trace of broken entry." He spilled. "The only people who were seen there were you two but the neighbors also saw when he walked you guys out the door and you left."

Shit, both Randy and Cody thought. "So are we to be expecting police by our doors?" Randy asked tauntingly, really annoyed by the information he just got. Cody looking down at the now black phone, since the light went off.

"Yes, but I'll push for it to be me. So there is no worry there." Alberto informed, knowing he will get the job of getting to investigate them. Cody and Randy breathed out relieved, truly in no mood to be questioned and they know of Alberto's rank.

"Aren't there usually two police officers who do these things?" Cody smartly asked.

Alberto nodded to himself, realizing they can't see him so he spoke up. "Yes, but I got a really dumb under study who listens to everything I say. It will be fine, don't worry. Just worry about catching that beast."

Randy rolled his eyes at Alberto, sometimes he really annoys him. He knows this isn't so much about the innocent people getting killed as it is about his raise. "Fine, just let us know everything from now on." And with those words the older of the two brothers, being Randy, hung up. Alberto looked at his phone hearing the beep, gritting his teeth. It just begun and even he is stressed by it.

Randy needing some fresh air, grabbed his hoodie and headed for the door. Cody noticed and got mad and curious.

"Where are you going?" He questioned. Randy looked back at him, hand on the doorknob.

"Out, I need the air." He vaguely informed his partner in crime, or partner in crime catching. Cody's mouth hung open.

"You heard Alberto, police are coming to question us, you can't be out." Randy rolled his blue eyes at his words.

"You also heard Alberto, he will be the one conducting the interrogation." I replied knowingly.

"Yeah, but what if they send someone else?" Cody is an overthinker, he has always been one, he will always be one. Randy huffed, opening the door.

"Then let them come back tomorrow because today I'm not answering a bloody ass question." And just like that he shut the door. Cody pursing his lips to stop the foul words he has directed towards his brother. He went into the fridge grabbing a beer, falling onto the couch. As much as he will like to be even more mad at Randy, he completely understands. He is more pissed that he didn't do it first.

Brie was listening to music, dancing around her bedroom, stopping when she heard the door knock. She pulled out the earphones, straightening out her clothes, answering the door. Her mouth dropped when she saw Randy standing there. She was partly worried he figured out it was her and mostly confused as to why he was there if he didn't. Randy saw the weirded out look on Brie's face and sighed.

"Look, I know this is weird and all and I only just met you but I needed to do something crazy and coming here was crazy enough. I just- I jus-"

She was relieved when she found it out why he was there. She cut him off by stepping aside saying, "Enter."

Randy was shocked but glad so he causally entered. The house wasn't messy but it wasn't entirely neat, it looked lived in and that made him feel comfortable. "So what do want to do now?" She asked him, locking the door up behind her. He motioned to the couch asking for permission she nodded with a look on her face that reads 'of course, it's nothing to sit on a couch'. He thought about her question and shrugged. "I don't know, I just need to clear my mind. So anything." He causally replied. Brie noted this and placed her lips in a straight line, walking over to her kitchen, opening the fridge. She grabbed four beers. She walked back into the living room resting them down on the center table, going back into the kitchen, tip toeing and grabbing the big pack of Doritos from her cupboard.

She cracked open the pack and sat next to Randy who opened the beers with his teeth, giving her one.

"You're a chips and beer type of girl. I like that." He smugly stated looking at her playfully but impressed.

"Normally I'm a cheese and whine type of girl, but on short notice...." She trailed off raising a shoulder to her chin briefly causing Randy to chuckle.

"Cheese and whine is a bit too fancy for a girl who wonders the woods when a rabbit wolf is on the loose." Randy joked and Brie shook her head, smiling. Even though he referred to her as rabbit wolf and wants to kill her, well the wolf, she is actually enjoying his company.

"Sure.... A wolf okay." She acted like she didn't believe him, throwing him a fake wink. He was amused by her antics.

"For someone who thinks it was fake, you surely didn't wonder back into the woods." He replied to her words. She gave him a challenging grin.

"Who say I didn't?" Brie asked him. She did went back because she has nothing to fear. Randy grew worried.

"What?! That place isn't safe. Are you okay?" He took her arm in his hand checking it for any sign of injury. She cracked up.

"I was kidding." She told, he sighed out relieved that she didn't put herself in harm's way. "A girl have work to attend." She told, shaking her head as if Randy was being ridiculous as she took a swing of her beer.

"Where do you work?" He questioned. Brie looked at him in the eyes with her brown eyes. He sucked in a breath looking at her, finding himself strangely falling for her more.

"At a coffee shop down the street." She lied, still looking at his blue eyes, his reaction was one of acceptance.

"Cool." He honestly told, nodding, he doesn't think much of it actually. He just wants to know which coffee shop, so he can 'accidentally' stop by for some 'coffee'.

Brie rolled her eyes, shaking her head, confusing him. "That's so cliche. A boy meets a girl in the woods, she either works at a restaurant or a coffee shop. Oh and let's not forget bartender. Really? Isn't there any other places people work?" She ranted confusing the shit out of Randy.

"So... You work there or nah?" Randy asked confused as to if she really works there and just finds the whole situation cliche. Brie glared at him and he figured she didn't.

"Nope, I work in a clothes store actually." Brie honestly informed him. He truly looks shocked, never heard that answer before.

"Guess you aren't the cliché type of girl then. I like it." Randy said to her. Brie looked at him and just laughed it off.

"You suck at being smooth you know that?" She questions him, taking a jab at his smoothness. Randy was truly surprised to hear that, all the girls find it works like a charm.

"What if I told you I wasn't trying to be smooth?" He flirtatiously look at her. She grins challengingly, inching closer to him.

"Then I'd asked what the hell are you trying to be?" Her voice seductive as she bit her lip watching him. That up his game even more, finding her even more attractive.

He leaned closer to her, face inches away. "Chunky." He 'smoothly' told doing the biting actions afterwards. Brie burst out in laughter, knocking the chips over by accident. Randy joined in the laughing mad loud. This is what he needed.

"You're ridiculous." She told in between laughter, clutching onto his knee to support her from falling off the couch. He was taken back by the action but brushed it off, not before thinking, that she wanted him.

He shrugged. "We all need some playful ridiculousness in our lives." He defended. Brie straightened back up still cracking up a bit, retrieving her hand from his knee which made him instantly miss her touch.

"You're right." Brie agreed.

Brie spend hours on end talking to him and actually enjoying his company and presence which she hasn't felt in a long time. She is actually attracted to someone.

"Want to watch tv?" Brie suggested, wiggling the remote in her hands. Randy looked at it and thought about the offer, he did enjoy just talking with her but this could be his chance to make a move.

"Yeah sure." He said and she nodded, turning on the tv.

"I turned it off after the shocking news report. I legit thought Sting was vacationing in the Caribbean, not still here. It sucks he killed himself, must have been horrid for that poor neighbor to witness." Brie tsk, shaking her head as if she is so gut ranched.

Randy simply nodded, knowing that, that didn't happened but thinking she is clueless like the rest of the city so he nodded along. She flickered through the channels.

"Oh rush hour!" Both said with excitement, looking at each other surprised afterwards, genuine expressions. "I love this movie! You do? So do I! Stop that!" They continued to speak in sync saying the same words. Both then stopped, looked at each other and burst into laughter.

'I think I'm in love' Randy thought, looking back to the TV, very happy, already forgetting his worries. Brie picked up the Doritos from between them, sliding her body against his. Randy shocked by this, jaw slacked, looking at the smirking Brie. She shrugged and smiled at him, before resting her head on his chest and watching the tv, missing the big goofy smile on his face but she can sense his happiness. 'Yes!' Randy mouthed, then wrapped his arm around her.

"How did he even become a cop?" Randy asked which made Brie raised her shoulders and chuckled.

She is actually really shocked she is enjoying his company. She doesn't enjoy no one's company besides her witch friend. She is actually connecting with him, it feels nice. Meanwhile, Randy is pretty sure this is the fastest and hardest he has ever fallen for someone.

The movie ended and Brie looked up at him, he smile down at her. He squinted his eyes, studying if the signs she is giving him is correct. Brie just looked at up, as far as she is concerned she isn't giving him any signs, but she does want him to kiss her. Randy took the jump and leaned in planting a soft kiss on her lips, Brie smiled and kissed him back, placing her hands on his cheeks.

He feels it, the certainty that he has fallen for her, that he is in love. Wow, that was cheesy and a record. Randy thought to himself, still gently kissing her. Brie on the other hand simply enjoyed it and wants it to happen again. She pulled away, eyes fluttering open, she bit her lip and looking down, smiling. Randy smiled at the sight, still not over how beautiful she is.

"So you invite strangers with two sleeves of tattoos, that has gun into your house and kiss them?" Randy teased, thinking back to what she said when he offered her a drop the first time they met. Brie laughed.

"Honestly, you're the first." She honestly told and he believed her.

"Then I'm honored." He slickly told going for a next kiss but she placed her finger on his lips.

"I don't kiss people twice who I haven't gone on a date with. You're lucky I even kissed you when you said you were chunky." Her words made him chuckle.
