Derrick's POV  

I was lead by my beautiful mate to the car and he opened the door for me. I smiled and got in grabbing a set of tickets that fell out of Jake's pocket. 'The new feral animal reserve!' I screamed in my head. When I saw Jake get in the car I hugged him tight as my tail wagged behind me.

"Thank you thank you thank you!" I nearly screamed. "One I can't breathe. Two for what?" choked Jake. I let him go and sat back down in my seat feeling like my tail just might fly off. "Sorry and for taking me to the new animal reserve," I cheered. "I see you found the tickets," he laughed.

I nodded and put on my seat belt. "Then let's go love, " he smiled and started the car. On the way to the reserve, I started singing "No One" which happened to be the song we met too.

Jake sang along as he placed one of his hands on my inner thigh and squeezed lightly. I looked down at his hand then up at him. He winked and me and did that stupid side smile that I loved slash hated.

When we made it to the reserve I hopped out the car and waited for Jake to get out too. "Come on Jake I heard they have feral foxes here. I never seen a feral fox before," I begged sounding like a 5-year-old pup. "Ok ok Derrick I'm coming, " laughed Jake grabbing my hand and walking up to the stand.

"Welcome to Crowfield's new animal preserve where all native feral animals can be found. My name is Jackie and I will be helping you today, " said a pink and white-furred rabbit. 'Perky much' I complain in my head as i smile anyway. "Yes, you can we have tickets for free roam tour of the preserve and VIP passes, " smiled Jake when he really wanted to wipe the smile off her face.

"That's right Jake Howlston. Here you are and take this bag of raw steak strips. You can feed the animals with them, " Jackie grinned handing us each a bag of raw steak and a VIP pass. We nodded our thanks and walked off into the closed off forest like area. Within a couple of minutes, a bear cub jumped out from a patch of brush.

"Aww, you are so cute. Where is your mother little one?" I asked holding out a piece of meat that it happily took. "There she is, " I heard Jake say behind me. I looked back to see a giant brown bear taking a piece of steak from him. I heard the bear cub let out a tiny roar as they ran to their mother and climbed on to her back.

I couldn't help but take a picture just as the mother took another steak strip from Jake. I giggled and looked around listening for more animals. After the mother bear and cub walked off we walked a little farther. Not long before Jake pointed out and started recording a small pack of wolves chasing and taking down a young buck.

"Wanna go say hi Jake, " I laughed seeing how interested he was in the wolf pack. "And get my face ripped off no thank you," he laughed continuing to walk on. We next stumbled upon a family of raccoons. One of them kept trying to take my bag of steak strips. Jake recorded it thinking it was funny, but I got him back by recording him get climbed on by the baby raccoons.

"I wonder where the foxes that wanna see are?" asked Jake wondering off. I shrugged and recorded two Tasmanian devils fighting over a bone. "Hey, Derrick!" I heard Jake scream. "Yes, Jake?" I shouted back heading in the right direction of his voice. I followed his voice to a small meadow where I saw him getting trampled and scrambled over my red foxes. "What does the fox say, " he laughed.

I took a picture and joined in. I and Jake both took pics and vids of the whole thing. After a good 30 minutes of playing with foxes, we heard Jackie on the intercom. "Can Jake Howlston and Derrick Mason please come to the front counter there is a male wolf waiting for you. Jake Howlston and Derrick Mason come to the front counter there is a male wolf waiting for you. Thank you, " she said over the speakers. "Wonder who it is, " commented Jake getting up and dusting off his clothes. "Maybe someone you know, " I replied dusting my self off as well before we started heading back to the front.

Today I'm not doing anything nothing at all then i remembered I need to post a chapter lol. Today's shout outs are jeanebrendan, johnson101, lillianjrioz, MaddyRawr10. I'm having a hell of a time keeping up with who didn't get a shout out and who did damn. If you haven't got a shout out yet let me know if you don't want a shout out that's cool too.
