This is Sky^

"We have to move." My mom said, "What, why!?" I asked, "We don't have the money to stay here anymore." She answered. "Where are we moving to, what city?" I asked. My mom shook her head, "We are not moving to another city, we are moving to the country in Pennsylvania." She said. "What?!" I yelled, "What about my friends, what would I do, where would I go shopping!" I yelled.  "You still have your friends phone number, and their are other stores too." My mom replied comely, "How can you be so rude!" I yelled running to my room, slamming the door and plopping on my bed, crying. After a long while I heard the door open and my dad talking to my mom.

After that I heard a knock on the door, "Go away!" I grumbled, I heard the door open and I turned around to see my dad. He came over and sat on the edge of my bed. "You know we have to move." He said as I sat up and rubbed my eyes. "But why do we have to move." I asked, "I got a better job and we need the money so we have to move." He said, I nodded understanding and he stood up and hugged me and walked out. After he left I decided to tell all of my friends about the news. We had a group chat on Skype and I called them. "Hi, What's wrong? Lydia asked her voice going from happy to worried, I will tell you when everyone is on." I said, after that Clare, Morgen, and Kate got on. "So what's up?" Clare asked. I took a deep breath, "I am moving to Pennsylvania." I said sadly. "What!" Morgen yelled "When!" Kate asked tearing up, "I don't know yet but it will probably be soon." I said "We need to make some memories!" Lydia said "And take lots of pictures!" Clare added, I smiled, my friends always make me happy when I am sad no matter what happened.

We talked for a while, "Sky! Dinners done!" My mom called, "Ok!" I called back, "I have to go, dinners done." I told them "Bye!" They all said and I hung up. I put my phone on my bed and walked out into the kitchen. We where having chicken paddies and fries. Mom handed me my plate, "Thank you mom." I said eating my food. "You're welcome." She said. "When are we moving?" I asked after I finished my dinner "We are going to move once school is over." My dad said I nodded and got up and went to bed since it was 9:30 PM and I had school tomorrow.

"BEEP BEEP BEEP!" I grumbled and hit my alarm clock. I looked at the time and got up to get ready for school. "Bye mom, Bye dad!" I called as I walked out of the door. "Be careful!" My mom called, "I will!" I called back (I have no idea what people use in the city to get to school so am just going to say a bus, but if you do plz let me know.) I walked out just in time to catch the bus. I got on and walked down the aisle to my seat and sat down.

Soon after that we arrived at school and I met with my friends in our usual place. "Did you just step on me?!" Someone asked angrily, "I-I'm s-sorry." Someone else said scared, I turned around and saw a big guy staying down angrily at a smaller kid. They guy hit the younger kid making him fall on the ground."Hey!" I yelled the guy turned around and I looked at him. He swung his hand at me, I ducked and grabbed his hand and twisted it threatening to brake it. His eyes widened "Please don't!" He pleaded "Then leave him alone." I said he nodded and I let him go and he walked away rubbing his arm. I walked over to the guy that got hit "Are you ok?" I asked holding my hand out to help him up, "Ya I'm ok." He said gasping my hand. I saw him wince as he got and he was holding his face, "Where did he hit you?" I asked he uncovered his eye and I saw a big red mark around his eye. "What's your name?" I asked "Jared, yours?" He asked "Sky." I answered, then I noticed that he was also holding his side. "What about your side?" I asked, at first he hesitated "C-can you keep a secret?" he asked, I nodded "W-well my dad kicked me." He said looking down on the ground, "What happened?" I asked, "H-he does this a lot." He said, "Do you mean that he abuses you?!" I asked, he nodded and I gasped "That's terrible!" I said. "What about your mom, is she ok with your dad doing this?" I asked "No, not at all, she always tried to project me from him and he would beat her instead, but she's dead now." He said sadly. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!" I said "Come on let's get you to the nurse." I said changing the subject. He nodded and I started walking, "Hold on!" He called I looked back to see Jared walking slowly towards me I waited for him to catch up to me.

"I could tell my mom." I suggested, "What! No he would kill me if he found out!" He said his eyes wide, "My moms a cop so she could help I just need evidence." I said, "Well I have the scars and bruises to prove it he said." He said I thought for a second "What about this, I sneak over to your house and take a video of your dad abusing you and then I can show my mom and we could get you out of their." I said "But I don't want to get hit!" He said,  "I understand that, but it would be the last time." I insisted. "Fine, you can tell your mom and I will think about it, but don't do anything until I say." He said. "Ok, here call me if you change your mind." I said handing him a pice of paper with my number on it, he nodded, put it in his pocket and we walked into the nurses office, "Can I have an ice pack?" Jared asked the nurse nodded and got an ice pack, then the bell rang.

The nurse walked out "What's your next class?" The nurse asked "English." We both said at the same time, she nodded and wrote on a peace of paper and handed it to me. We walked upstairs to our lockers and I helped him carry his stuff up to the door then handing it to him. We walked in, "Why are you late?" The teacher asked, I handed her the note. What happened to you?" She asked "Someone hit him." I said. She nodded and went on with class I also noticed that my friends weren't here today.

After school I went home did my homework until my mom came home, "Mom, can I tell you something?" I asked. "Yes what is it?" She asked "Well theirs this boy named Jared and he says that his dad abuses him." I said "Ok?" She said, "Well I was kind of hoping that you would help him get out of there." I said, "Sweetie, you know it doesn't work like that, I need evidence of it." She said. "I know. Just don't tell anyone about it until he says that we can do something because I just offered it and he said that he would think about it." I said my mom nodded and walked down to her room to get out of her work clothes off. I went back to my room and my phone was going off, "Hello." I said "Hey it's me Jared." He said, "I'll let you and your mom help me." He said quietly, "Ok you can give me your address at school." I said "Who are you talking to?!" Someone who I assumed was his dad asked. "Bye." He said "Bye I'm sorry." I said quickly before he hang up. I had trouble sleeping that night, hoping that Jared would not get hurt because of me but eventually I fell into an uneasy sleep.
