We walked outside to the cool wind wiping around our hair and leaving the painted leaves left on the ground.

"What's up?" I asked still not feeling the bright energy that we used to have.

"Well I just wanted to know how you were doing," he said as we sat at the edge of the old concrete fountain," I was worried."

"Don't be I'm still upset but I think that after what we'v been through losing Skylur really open my eyes to the danger of being a wolf," I said shivering.

Van took off his jacket only wearing a t-shirt and rapped it around my shoulders.

I smiled at him and he scooted closer to where I could feel his warm breath on the side of my face.

"Yeah it's hard but there are good thing about being a wolf too,"said Van. I felt his hand curl up into mine and his warmth gave me goose bumps.

"Yeah," I said squeezing his hand," I'm going to see Max later, wanna come?"

"Sure," said Van leaning closer.

I put my hand on his chest to stop him, " Wait," I said.

"I'm so sorry I'm moving to fast aren't I?" Van said running a hand through his hair.

"No it's not that it's just well I'v never been in a relationship before and it's all so new to me," I said, "I'm still trying to get used to the whole wolf thing and I just don't want to get hurt after being ignored by people all my life."

"Well those people were stupid to ignore someone so amazing," said Van and he tucked my hair behind my ear.

We locked eyes and he leaned in closer, "How do I know you feel the same way?" I asked, "how do I know I won't get hurt?"

He lifted my head up, "Ira I promise that I will never hurt you and never leave you,"

Feeling myself melt into his touch I leaned forwards and our lips touched.

It's like a million fireflies lit up the world and a studded spark bursts it way inside of me, I feel myself being lifted to a whole new world.

The kiss ended after a few seconds and we pulled back for air.

I knew anyone would fall over laughing at the sight of both of us blushing mad.

He held my hand tight as we got up to head over to Max's house.

As we decided to walk instead of drive a question that's been bothering me made its way to my mouth.

"Van why did Danny and then kill that girl?"

He looked down then back at me, "We don't know for sure my Grandfather thinks she got snoopy and either saw or heard something she wasn't suppose too".

"I feel so bad for her," I said.

"I know me too but we can't dwell on the past because if we forget to live now then we forget ourself and everyone we care about," Van said as we walked up to Max's house.

"I guess your right" I said as we knocked on the door.
