Previously on The Wizarding Tribrid:

~ Potter Manor ~

While Sirius was explaining the contents of Arthur's letter to everyone, all mildly surprised, the Floo suddenly flared causing everyone to tense and rush out of the family room to the foyer only to find Minerva McGonagall cleaning the soot from her emerald robes with a wave of her wand. A blotchy colour rose within Severus's cheeks as he suddenly remembered the letter he had received from his old colleague and gave her temporary access to Potter Manor until Sirius and Niklaus stated otherwise.
"I take it from your tense appearances and the colour rising in Severus's cheeks that Severus forgot to inform you of my letter and impending arrival." Minerva stated, raising an unimpressed eyebrow at Severus.

"My apologies Minerva, so much has happened it slipped my mind." Severus apologised, scowling at Sirius and Remus who were fighting back grins and at Kol who laughed raucously at him being scolded. It wasn't malicious, Kol was just childish.
"How is she?" Minerva asked, waving away the apology as Sirius and Niklaus led the way back into the family room where Lilijana was happily playing with Draco under the watchful and attentive eyes of Arcturus and Wong. The latter who often decided to join in with their games.
"She's shy, scared and extremely weary of new people." Niklaus answered tersely, not at Minerva but at the situation.
"But otherwise she's a very sweet and happy little girl." Rebekah added.

"Don't forget she's also mischievous." Kol added with a smirk. "OW! What was that for?" Kol asked, rubbing the back of his head where Severus had just slapped him.
"No corrupting my goddaughter!" Severus warned seriously, pointing a finger at the mischievous Original Heretic. "She already has to deal with it in her blood from James and Sirius, and a little bit from Niklaus. She doesn't need you adding to it."
"Oh but if I and Kol don't then those boys Adrian Pucey and Fred and George Weasley surely will be it very far, far, far off in the future." Sebastian added, a smirk tilting the corner of his mouth up as his eyes sparkled.
"That's it. I'm retiring!" Minerva exclaimed, she heard all about those three boys and she dreaded to think of what a child made of them and Lilijana would be like.

Ignoring the laughter she slumped into the chair Remus had shown her to. She never normally would have acted in such a way, but her mind was still reeling from that information.
"Marauders 2.0." She sighed heavily. She only hoped Lilijana wasn't a prankster like her father's and uncle.
"Let me introduce you to everyone, Minerva." Remus stated as Sirius called Lolly asking for some tea and biscuits and to make sure there were some Ginger Newts for Minerva. He, Remus and James all knew from the amount of time they'd spent in her office during their school years that that particular biscuit was the Scottish witch's favourite. "I'm sure you know Arcturus, Sirius's grandfather. Beside him is Wong Lui and this is his wife, Nadia.

Then this is Jane Simon and Sebastian Myers, all four of them are born werewolves but turned into vampire hybrids willingly by Lili's father Niklaus Mikaelson, the Original Hybrid. This prankster is Kol, Nik's brother and is a Wiccan warlock and vampire, the Original Heretic, and finally, this is Rebekah Mikaelson Nik and Kol's little sister and Kol's twin. She is an Original Vampire." Remus explained pointing at everyone in turn.
"Everyone this is Minerva McGonagall, an old school friend of mine and who currently teaches Transfiguration at Hogwarts." Arcturus introduced, smiling as Lili used Accidental Magic to transfigure a wooden block into a nest for the dragon.

Draco copying her actions and turning a different block into a den for the wolf and Grim soft toys, pulling everyone from the small talk they were quietly making after introductions were made.
"Sirius, Niklaus, Narcissa, Lucius." Minerva croaked, having to clear her throat several times before she could continue. "I think it would be prudent if you allowed me to train Lilijana and Draco in Transfiguration. That was some powerful bit of Accidental Magic and if left unchecked it could prove to be dangerous for them."
"If you think it is best." Lucius agreed, after sharing a look with his wife, Sirius and Niklaus.
"I do." Minerva confirmed.
"Draco, Lili, could you come over here please sweethearts." Narcissa requested.

The two five-year-old cousins, who look more like twins, paused in their game to look over at Narcissa before they noticed the new woman who was sitting in an armchair near to their grandfather. Straight away Lilijana tensed up and cast her eyes down to the floor with Draco rushing to comfort her as he held her hand to help her up. Once the pair were on their feet, Minerva noticed that Draco kept Lilijana a step behind him protectively with her hand still in his, bringing a smile to the elderly woman's face.
"Yes Mother?" Draco asked, standing behind the coffee table with Lilijana behind him just slightly.
"I want to introduce you both to Minerva McGonagall." Narcissa smiled reassuringly at the pair.

"She teaches Transfiguration at Hogwarts and wishes to train you both in Transfiguration early. She will never hurt you; I promise Lili." Narcissa rushed to reassure her young niece.
"No I would never." Minerva rushed to agree. "I used to teach your Mother Lily and your Daddy James, Lilijana, it was his favourite subject."
"Really?" Lilijana asked delightedly, her mismatched eyes seemed to glow with happiness. She loved learning things about her Mother and Daddy James.
"Of course. There is a little secret you can eventually learn with Transfiguration." Minerva said with a wink before she turned herself into her tabby grey cat Animagus form and back again to the delight of the children who rambled excitedly.
"You just love showing that off don't you, Minnie." Sirius teased.

"I have told you repeatedly not to call me that Sirius." Minerva reprimanded sternly.
"You're like Daddy!" Lilijana cried with elation. "He can turn into the Grim." As she said that she turned to look at Draco, the pair sharing matching mischievous grins that Minerva almost did a double take; it was like looking into the past. Right at Sirius and James and again with Arcturus and Fleamont, and she couldn't help but dread what they would come out with next. "Can we start now, Grandma Minnie?" Lilijana and Draco asked sweetly, matching innocent smiles upon their faces but it was the matching mischievous gleams in their eyes that gave them away.
"See what you did?!" Minerva demanded of Sirius but her only answer was a bark-like laugh.

"Don't think you're innocent Arcturus. You and Monty were just as bad as James and Sirius when the three of us were in school." She added, earning a glare from the man as Sirius and Narcissa immediately started demanding answers from the stoic man they grew up with. If they wanted to throw Minerva a curve ball then she would certainly do the same as she had a feeling that Draco and Lilijana would persist with the name much like Sirius, Remus and James did (and still do for the former two) and suppress a groan. However, she will forever deny that a smile pulled up her lips at the thought.

Chapter Six, Training with Grandma Minnie

~ 4th August 1985, Gringotts London Branch ~

Arthur Weasley was a mix of emotions at the results of his test. He couldn't believe it and was half convinced that it was all a nightmare; but the worse thing was that he knew it wasn't. Molly had doused him with not only Amortentia since he was seventeen, but also Compulsion and Loyalty potions making him complacent to all her wishes (no doubt Dumbledore's wishes as well). He lost years with his parents, his brothers who had always been against his relationship and marriage with Molly, and now he knew why.

They must have had suspicions. He wanted to contact his older brother Billius – and he must have done as the next thing he knew his brother was walking into the office with the Weasley Account Manager Drolx entered behind the Potter-Black Potter Account Manager whose office they were using.
"Arthur?" Billius – or Billy as he was known to his friends and family – asked concerned as he sat beside his younger brother.

"Billy?" Arthur choked, looking up with a hollow expression and tears pouring down his cheeks. Not able to say more he held out the result of his test to his brother, who took it confused but that confusion quickly turned into anger that he had to hold back by the skin of his teeth.
"Arthur, I'm so sorry." Billy whispered, pulling his younger brother into his arms, holding him tightly as Arthur sobbed into his chest as anger boiled beneath his skin. "Don't worry little brother I'll sort everything out." Billy promised, rubbing Arthur's back allowing him to expunge all of toxic emotions that had been brought up with the results.

"I want to annul the marriage between my brother and Molly Anne Prewett, to let her aunt know what her niece has done to my brother, to my family, as she is the Head of House Prewett. I, Lord Billius Weasley, state that Molly Anne Prewett is struck from the House of Weasley. Her marriage is annulled with my brother Arthur Weasley, and she is an enemy of House Weasley. So I have stated, so mote it be!" golden light filled the office signalling his wishes had been carried out and been approved by Mother Magic.
"We will carry out the rest, Lord Weasley." Drolx promised, bowing his head. "And grab the potions for the children as I have no doubt you would both like them to be tested. Including sending everything to Madam Bones as evidence to arrest Molly Prewett."

"Thank you." Billy said gratefully. "Stay here Arthur and I shall get the children. We'll get this sorted Arthur." He promised his brother, once more before he hurried to the hall to use the Floo Network.
Several hours later, Arthur finally had some good news. The children hadn't been dosed with anything; thankfully. The older children had been told what had happened, including that Fred and George were two-thirds of Heiress Potter-Black-Mikaelson's mates with Heir Adrian Pucey which they were intrigued about.

He knew they were just eager for some new friends; but the downside of that is Ronald had kicked off as apparently Molly had promised him that he would marry her which both Billy and Arthur had quickly and sternly corrected leaving a now pouting child. Better than a screeching and angry child. They had received word from Muriel letting them know that she had struck Molly from the family and named Fred and George as Heir Prewetts as her House was always held by twins (her twin had died decades ago), leaving Molly a No-Name. With everything that has happened to Arhtur in the last twenty-four hours alone, had left Arthur feeling incredibly drained that he agreed to move in with his brother with his children (they were just happy to see their cousins).

But before they left the bank Arthur made sure to send a letter to Sirius detailing everything that has happened and thanking him for his help and friendship for without it, and without his twins being his daughter's mates, then Arthur knew that he would soon be under the control of the potions with a very slim chance of ever finding out he was doused in potions; which was a very scary thought for Arthur.

***

~ 5th August 1985 ~

As Sirius explained to everyone the contents of the letter he received from Arthur he couldn't help but smile at how excited his daughter and Draco were. Today begins the first day of training for Lilijana and Draco with Minerva and all morning they've been extremely excited, hardly sitting still throughout breakfast. He had to admit that she looked very adorable and just wanted to eat her up, which he had pretended to do when she entered the family dining room with Rebekah to his delight as her sweet laughter had filled the room and it never failed to lift up his and everyone's moods. She wore a navy denim skater-type skirt that was paired with a mustard top that had bell frilled sleeves, brown knee-high socks that had a striped navy and white pattern at the top, brown shoes and a mustard yellow bow in her hair.

Draco also looked adorable in grey trousers and jumper with a blue shirt underneath and light brown shoes.
"Are you excited, little ones?" Jane asked, smiling at them as she sipped at her coffee.
"YES!!" Draco and Lilijana shouted, almost bouncing in their seats. Their answer brought a smile to everyone's faces as they were glad Lili was coming out of her shell; brought out by Draco, and they couldn't be happier.
"Severus, if you aren't busy at Potter Potions, would you consent to teaching them both Potions?" Niklaus asked, taking a deep gulp of his coffee.

"If Severus is busy then I could always teach them Potions as well, if I have no cases to pursue at the Law firm." Lucius put forth. "I'm no Potion Master like Severus and Fleamont had been, but I did pass Potions with a high grade."
"No one could be on Fleamont's level." Arcturus laughed, a sad smile as he remembered his friend. An identical smile upon Niklaus, Severus, Sirius and Remus' faces as they all knew the kind and caring sort of man Fleamont had been and were sad Lili would never get to know first hand what her grandfather was like.

"Very true." Severus nodded. Everyone may have been impressed that he had become a Potion Master at seventeen, but Fleamont had become one at only sixteen, created a business from scratch and was also a renowned Duellist and Duelling Champion. "To answer your question Nik: I would be happy to."
"Great!" Kol exclaimed, writing down on a piece of parchment and missing the confused looks he was receiving.

"What?" He asked when he looked back up. "I thought it would be a good idea to write it all down so we would know who was teaching what."
"In that case I can teach them Charms and Etiquette." Narcissa stated.
"We can help with that too." Rebekah added, pointing to herself and Jane and Nadia. "You've been teaching us the hairstyles to do on Lili and I was around in the time that the Wizarding World is still stuck in, but we can also make sure that they look good, and it has a modern touch, so the Wizarding World isn't revealed." Jane and Nadia nodded in agreement.
"I can teach them Defence and History." Remus added.

"I can teach them Transfiguration when Minnie can't make it, and Herbology, and Duelling when they're older." Sirius added, Kol nodded and jotted everything down while ignoring Bekah and Nik's playful jabs that he was using his brain.
"Daddies?" Lili asked cautiously, climbing into Nik's lap.
"What's the matter, little wolf?" Niklaus asked, holding his daughter close and kissing the right side of her head while Sirius leaned over and kissed the left side of her head and took her head, showing her he was also listening.
"When will Grandma Minnie be here?" Lili asked, playing with her wolf and Grim soft toys.

"And will you be mad if I fail?" She asked fearfully, showing this had really been troubling her.
"Of course not Pup!" Sirius refuted, getting up to kneel beside Niklaus so Lili could stare into his eyes to see the truth within them.
"All we will care about little wolf; is if you do your best." Niklaus told her gently, brushing a stray blonde strand behind her ear.
"Can you promise us that, cub?" Remus asked his precious goddaughter while Moony howled within his mind at the worry, fear and sadness their cub was exhibiting.

He had been doing a lot better since he had moved into the Manor and just knew that when the Full Moon came around next month that it would be a cakewalk with Sirius with him again, especially as Niklaus (and maybe Lilijana) would be joining them. It was alright having Sirius with him in Grim form but there was something different about having possibly two wolves in his pack.
"Yes Uncle Moony." Lilijana nodded her head. "I can do that."
"I promise too." Draco piped up. "We can help each other too!"
"Yes! Always." Lili nodded her head, smiling brightly at Draco. In the last few days that seemed to be a common occurrence since the two met: they always cheered each other and brought a smile to each other's faces.

"Always!" Draco agreed, smiling widely in return which instantly made the adults smile. Niklaus, Kol and Rebekah smiled at each other happily. Glad their promise, 'Always and Forever' was still being used but they knew Lili and Draco would be better than them and silently promised each other that they would be better to set an example to the pair.
"I'm glad to hear it." Minerva's voice came from the doorway, a proud lilt to her voice deepening her Scottish accent.
"Grandma Minnie!" Lilijana and Draco cheered. Minerva sighed, casting a glare over at Sirius, Remus, Severus and Arcturus. The latter pair tried to stifle their laughter but failed to hide their gleeful grins, while Sirius and Remus had no such qualms.

"Shall we get started then?" She asked the children, glaring once more at the adults in the room. She knew the house-elves had set the Duelling Chamber up for their lesson.
"Yes Grandma Minnie." Lili and Draco agreed, almost vibrating with their excitement and glee as they climbed from their seats.
"They've been excited for their lesson with you, Minerva." Narcissa told her old professor. "So much so they've barely touched their breakfasts." A fond smile instantly appeared on the strict woman's visage at that revelation as the children stood before her.
"Then they should do very well in their lesson." Minerva smiled at them as the children promised they would listen.

"We'll see you later. Listen to Minerva, you two." Lucius warned the pair.
"I promise father."
"I promise Uncle Lucius."
"Bye!" Lilijana and Draco waved excitedly to their family still in the dining room, pulling laughs from all of them as they replied in kind.
"They are just too adorable!" Nadia exclaimed, a hand resting over her heart that simply melted at the pair, especially when they both grinned like that causing their dimples to appear on their cheeks.

"That they are." Wong agreed with his wife. He loved those children and would always be thankful to Niklaus for making them both Hybrids as not only had he given them a better pack, a better family but also they no longer experienced excruciating pain every month. That had killed him to see his wife go through every month.
"When would you let Lili meet her mates? Or even just other children?" Sebastian asked, looking mainly at Sirius and Niklaus as they were her fathers.
"Wasn't Andromeda coming over tomorrow with her husband, Ted, and their daughter Nymphadora?" Arcturus asked before either Sirius or Niklaus could answer.

"Yes grandfather." Sirius agreed. "You are right, I think it's time the family were back together. For Lili to meet all of her cousins and Narcissa wants to rebuild her relationship with at least one of her sisters." Narcissa nodded, confirming Sirius's words.
"And we want Lili to meet Neville, her godbrother as well." Niklaus added.
"But." Severus interrupted hastily, "I think it would be prudent to stagger these meetings as we need to bear in mind that Lili has had very limited interaction with anyone, least of all children, and any interaction she did have wasn't good."
"True." Sirius nodded, sharing a look with Nikalus.
"Then, perhaps in a few weeks we can introduce Neville and other children, Nik." Rebekah added.

"She has been through far too much in the last few days and met a lot of people on top of that. She needs time to decompress and time to cope with what happened. Narcissa, do you think Lili will need to talk to someone about what happened at those...at that house. Not just how she triggered her wolf." Rebekah asked the woman, knowing that she was a Healer. Narcissa mulled it over as she took a sip of her cooling tea before making herself a fresh one as she gave it some proper consideration, as was needed.

"I think it would be a good idea." Narcissa finally conceded. "I will look into who would be suitable, not only the most qualified but who would keep their silence and not immediately run to the press with information on Lili and what they were treating her for."
"Then I will draw up an airtight contract for you, Narcissa." Arcturus asserted with a decisive nod.

"Thank you. All of you." Niklaus muttered gratefully, his voice a little tight with emotion at the length they were going to keep his daughter safe.
"We are family, Nik." Kol told him firmly. "Always and Forever, remember? And this time it would have more meaning to it, and we will live by it. We will be a proper family and will live by our promise to set an example to not only Lili but also Draco and Nymphadora." He declared, earning grateful and happy smiles from both Narcissa and Lucius which he waved away.

They all promised the same as the Original Heretic as they finished off their breakfast and beverages before they headed off in different directions while the children were with Minerva either for work or to set their ideas and declarations into action. They would keep to it this time this they swore, maybe Elijah and Finn would pull their heads out of their arses long enough to join their family but maybe they won't; but at this point Niklaus, Kol and Rebekah didn't hold much hope for them, but they didn't necessarily need them now as they now knew what a proper family was, and they would hold on to it with all their might. For themselves; but more importantly for Lilijana.
