The next day Taehyung had been reading the diary all morning. He was so interested to see everything in there. there was more than what he saw last night. more world, more stories. but the stories about the war were what caught his attention today.

'The war is getting worse. I have been trying to help the destroyed villages, but the knights have occupied most of them, they slaughter every living being that dares to disobey. This whole thing is getting out of hand. I wish I was stronger, I wish I could end this war. But all I can do is help the good knights fight these evil ghosts. These dark knights are not human. there is nothing inside of them, it's hard for them to fight when there is nothing to hit. They need more wizards, but there are not a lot of them left. they have all been caught and murdered at the start.

I have to get help from our friends. I will be back in two days'

Taehyung closed the book when it went to the pages he had already read. the pages of 'him' dying. He doesn't need to read it again. He had studied it enough yet did not find any answer to his questions.

The thing on his head right now was that Jungkook needs him to save his own life and his own people. Taehyung can be someone greater than just a born prince that is destined to be king. Taehyung wants to be someone and prove himself, he wants to actually do something great.

this can be his thing, his legend that they will write in the books!

He wants to go, he wants to see the world and see these amazing things. See what it's like, learn about it, learn about wizards like Jungkook, get to know him and get to know all about this other Taehyung person.

"yes" taehyung stood up from his desk and left his bedroom, he wants to go on this adventure jungkook told him about. He wants to travel. But for that he will need his parents permission. He can't just leave this position for the throne. At least, it's not common to just leave to somewhere as a prince. But he can try, maybe they will see how much he wants this and allow him.

So he went to the reading lunge where his parents were reading their books.

"Mom, dad! listen"

"oh, hey dear, finally came out of your room today?" his mother chuckled and smiled at him while she closed her book to give her son her full attention.

"you both know how much i want to go out of the kingdom and see the world right?"

"Of course, you talk about it all the time. but we've talked about this, it's too dangerous"

"I met a traveler who is willing to let me travel with him, he can show me the world! Do you know what is out there, floating islands, people who can breathe underwater, and even upside down gravity cities built inside the mountains? I want to see that! it's so ama-"

"NO, that is not going to happen. you will NOT leave this palace to go with some random traveler" his father said and slapped his book shut.

"but he is a good person, he helps the sick and stood with the good people during a war-"

"NO IS NO!" his father stood up and glared at his son. "And now drop it, you will NOT be going out of this kingdom on some sort of adventure, what if you get killed!? Who will take the throne then? Who will be our loving son?"

"is that all you care about? the throne and losing me? I know it can be dangerous but it's worth the risk! how will i ever be happy if i stay inside these cold palace walls for my whole life, this is something YOU like, not me. I want to do something with my life, I want to see the world and learn about them, I don't want to be a king dad...."

"you are NOT going, you will stay here and you will take the crown. not go to your room"

"but-"

"YOUR ROOM, NOW" his father shouted and pointed his finger, his angry eyes following Taehyung's figure until he was out of the room.

angry, taehyung was angry. angry that his parents never allowed him to go ANYWHERE, not even to the famous flower forest just outside of the walls, every of the other city kids were always going there while he stayed behind to watch them all go and come back with their hands full of the most beautifully colored flowers he had ever seen.

His parents wouldn't allow anything, yes he loved them they cared about him. but taehyung wished they would give him more freedom. they would just tell him to listen.

But he doesn't want to listen, he doesn't want to listen to THEIR rules. Taehyung wants to live, he wants to see the world. He wants to be more than someone who lived all their life in this palace and will rot away on a throne of gold.

"I will not obey this time, i will create my own destiny, and if that lies along with Jungkook's then i will go." taehyung said determined and stood up from his bed walking to his huge walk in closet. He changed into his most comfortable and sturdy outfit, not those pretty expensive formal wear. but actual clothes he can work in. still he looked a lot different than the regular citizens, but that is unavoidable. he was a prince, he didn't have basic citizen clothes in his closet. "It's almost midnight, he will leave on Sunday. i can't be late"

Taehyung stuffed the last things into his big bag and threw it over his shoulder. not forgetting to grab the book on his way out.

While he ran out of the castle to god knows where that wizard may be he began to think about all this.

it was probably a bad idea, he might even get himself killed. What if Jungkook lied in his diary and he would murder him the moment they step foot outside of the walls. Even with all these bad thoughts Taehyung did not feel like that would happen. He just had some strange feeling about Jungkook that he could trust him.

"where are you running off to?" a voice said behind him when he left the palace doors. immediately he froze in his steps and slowly turned around. ready to be scolded and taken back inside by his father and the guards.

but that didn't happen.

he carefully opened his shut eyes and his eyes widened in surprise.

"I have been waiting for you, it's already ten past midnight. you're late, for a prince" jungkook chuckled and crossed his arms as he leaned against the wall. "so, are you ready?"

"you were expecting me?"

"Of course, but I also expect the guard to come in not long after you. so we better hurry before they catch up. your leave did not go unnoticed by the night watch."

"okay... okay yes. i'm doing this.'' Taehyung nodded, it suddenly felt a bit unreal. "Okay, yes yes. let's do this" he nodded and grabbed his bag tighter, stepping forward.

"don't worry, you're going to love it out there. it's going to be the adventure of a lifetime" Jungkook smiled and spread his arms like a magician smiling at the prince. "Wizard Jeon Jungkook, your guide and protector on this journey, at your service" he bowed and gave the prince a wink.
