Mornings

Taehyung loves them, a time where you would still have the whole day ahead of you. A moment that was calm and gentle.

With a well rested feeling he stretched himself out and got out of bed. To his surprise Jungkook was still sleeping.

Jungkook was always the first to wake up. He must need it, he hasn't been sleeping much as far as taehyung knows since he got here.

"I will just get us some breakfast, '' Taehyung mumbled to himself as he got ready. Jungkook had been the one getting them food, so it was only nice to return the favor now he had the chance to.

And so, he left the inn to get it.

' "I hate them, I hate them, I hate them" he muttered and the words of them repeated in his head. It only raised the anger inside of him more until it was too much. Jungkook snapped his gaze to the two bullies and his purple eye started to glow brighter than before. Loud screams were heard but. Before Jungkook realized what happened the forest leaves were dripping with red blood...

Hw sat there, frozen in fear. His wide eyes staring at the scenes in front of him. Blood splatters all over the nature where the two boys were standing just a second ago. Their bodies turned into pieces that laid on the forest ground. Bones sticking from the flesh.

Jungkook tried to get up but he fell down through his legs. His whole body was shaking, he couldn't think. His whole mind filled itself with what he saw here.

"...N-no...No no no" Jungkook said and grabbed his hair falling back on his knees again to curl into a ball. "no no no no, I didn't do it. I didn't do it"

But he knew well that he caused this. It was the first but not the last time he lost control....

"hello? Hello!? Tarrence? Jaehan? Is that you?" two voices were heard followed with a group of footsteps.

Jungkook had to leave, he can't be seen here. They will throw him out. They will leave him to the wolves..

"Terrence! Jaeha-....Oh no....oh my god '' pure shock was heard in their voices. "god, no no, this cant be happening. Noo, my Tarrence, Jaehan. Our boys!" the woman of the group looked up and saw the kid. "Jungkook...." everyone looked at him now..."you did this!! I knew we should have killed you when we had the chance!! You evil MONSTER, KILL HIM!"

"no...I-i... Didn't, i..." Jungkook couldn't speak, nor run. Whenever he tried to get up his muscles would give up. His whole body was refusing to obey. All he could do was scream and cry while he was being dragged away....'

With a loud gasp for air Jungkook shot up in bed. Sweat glistened on his forehead. His eyes stared blankly at the blanket.

"Jungkook... Are you okay?" Taehyung walked over to the wizard who just averted his eyes and dried his fave with the blanket.

"im...Fine, I just didn't expect to sleep so long. What time is it?"

"It's almost eleven. I already got us breakfast. I was waiting for you."

"oh...I'm sorry I kept you waiting. I will be right there"

"Are you sure you're okay? You look a bit pale..."

"i am fine,"   Jungkook said shortly and got out of bed, making his way to their tiny bathroom where he closed the door without another glance.

After a delicious breakfast with freshly baked bread and fruits from the local market, the two were back on Zuzu her shell.

"How high can she fly?" Taehyung asked while looking down at the tiny ocean waves below them. They seemed to be flying higher than before.

"just above the clouds if needed. But she prefers to stay under the clouds. It's mostly up to her. I let her do her thing, unless there is danger. Then i take control."

"ooh, i see. She is lucky to have a kind owner"

"she is. She is very loved in my care. She is like family"

"cute" Taehyung smiled and turned around to look at Jungkook. "sooo, uhm probably a weird question but. If I am inside your world, would that affect me?"

"i should not. But I can not say for certain. But since i have not experienced any differences since i've been here, neither Hoseok, i assume that it shouldn't leave any effects on you."

"a-alright"

"Would you look at that. We're almost there. See those two mountains?"

"uhh, which one?" Taehyung turned around and followed Jungkook's finger, but there were more than two mountains on the horizon. How was he supposed to know which one Jungkook was pointing to?

"Look, right... Right there" Jungkook stepped behind Taehyung, his left hand resting on the prince's shoulder while his right pointed forward.

"I see it now! Yes, is that where we are going?" Taehyung smiled..A soft tingle went through his body where Jungkook touched him.

"exactly. That's where the gate is. And that's where I will put Zuzu to a big wash in the hot springs before we enter."

"ooh so cool!"

"Now, let's pack our bags, just in case. We will be landing soon. Zuzu will get us safely down. She knows the way from here." Jungkook said and he turned around, walking back to the house.

"pack our bags? What do you mean?" Taehyung hurried after the wizard.

"I can not predict what will await me when we enter the other world. Maybe they were waiting for me to return. Who knows. I just want to be prepared For anything."

"Okay, you really make me worried now." Taehyung said softly. More to himself but he secretly hoped Jungkook would hear it.

"I will be with you."

"t-thank you.'' Taehyung blushed a little when he got the reassurance he wanted. He can't explain it but everytime Jungkook said those things, that he would keep him safe, that he would be with him, it made him feel so warm inside. He loved it, it made his worries fade away and completely trust Jungkook.

Which he obviously already did. He trusts Jungkook. Even if others might say it's wrong to follow a man you have never met before and that promises you an amazing adventure, Taehyung just knew this was the right decision. This is where he was meant to be.

Their paths were meant to cross, he was meant to join him on his journey.

"We're landing any second now. You havent packed anything..." Jungkook said seeing Taehyung stand there still, lost in thoughts.

"oh, sorry. I was... Thinking. I will go right now"

"okay, meet me outside when you're ready."

"will do"

And so they arrived at the location. Where Zuzu laid herself in a hot spring while the two ate lunch.

"the gap is nearby. Its just past these groups of trees here. You can't see it now. But when we are close enough you will see it.

"I'm so curious what it will look like." Taehyung said while standing up. Each second that passed he was getting more and more nervous. They were getting closer to the big moment with each blink of an eye.

"it will be quite underwhelming. Don't expect much of it" Jungkook chuckled and fixed his jacket and stretched his muscles.

"Are you that stiff?"

"If I have to fight, I better be loose. I haven't been using much magic in a while so it will be quite exhausting. The least I can do is warm up my body.
Jungkoom replied. He wasn't going to lie about this. The wizard knew he was strong and he was able to protect Taehyung. But that doesn't mean he is scared of what will await them at the other side of the entrance.

Not knowing what is about to happen is a weak point for him. He will not be able to predict scenarios. He will have to act on reflexes and improvisation. Which did not always end up well. He was more afraid of losing control like he did when he was younger. He would barely remember anything that happened if it happened, it was scary.

"good point, soooo. Lead the way" Taehyung held tightly on his sleeves that were just a little bit over his palms.

"This way, zuzu stay close sweetie," Jungkook said and the turtle hummed slowly. Her heavy steps thumped as she walked after them.  She barely fit under these trees. Luckily the trees were far apart and allowed her to move. But there was not much space. Sometimes her shell would move a tree to the side making cracking sounds.

"Here it is,"Jungkook said and stopped walking. Looking in front of them.

And so did Taehyung, in front of him he could see a crack that was about 40/50 centimeters broad and about four meters tall, the more it went up the thinner it got.

It looked as if a giant cut a hole with a knife through their air. Inside the cut it shimmered, like it was filled with glass shards. A surreal image.

"Taehyung, this is your last chance to turn back." Jungkook said and stepped in front of the crack, he turned to the other and extended his hand. I will ask you one more time. Will you go with me? Hoseok can take you back home if you decide not to come, but you will have to choose now. Once we are inside i do not know if i can get you back out just as easy"

"i..."  Taehyung shut his mouth and thought of everything they did so far. He had already experienced more than he could have asked for. He had already seen so much more for the world that he would have in the castle. And his parents must be worried sick for him.... he misses them.

If he goes home, will he ever see Jungkook again? wait, that shouldn't matter.. he should think of himself and his family that was waiting for him to return quickly... He should live his life.

"i will go with you until the end"
The Prince said and he placed his hand into the wizard's. And with a playful grin from the raven he was being pulled through the crack. Before he knew it he was surrounded by the shimmering glass-like shards.
