"Finally, we have found the right person"
___________
The bell rang to signal the start of lunch break and the end of morning classes. Students rushed out from their classrooms, walking step by step on the stone hallway. Madeleine bit onto her tuna sandwich as she walked theough the noisy hallway. She sighed.
It's all the same thing all over again...
For once, this was true. Everything just seemed the same to her. Boys irritating girls, those upperclassmen and women chit-chatting, the soft summer breeze and she biting on the same tuna sandwich that she loved. And suddenly, a hand smacked onto her back, making her stumble and almost fall.
"Whoa whoa... Megumi...you're going to far."Madeleine looked at the back of her, finding a short girl with locks of bluish-yellow tied into two messy pigtails.
"Ciao Madeleine-chan!" Megumi walked to Madeleine's side, as they continued walking. "What are ya eatin' ?" Megumi asked in her Osakan accent.
"The same thing. Tuna sandwich." The short-haired girl relied as she took another bite on the sandwich.
"Eh~ Wouldn't ya' be tired of eating it?"
"Nah not really. It's tasty. How about you?"
"Hm..." Megumi and Madeleine walked to a small garden located at a corner of their school. It was beautiful, but unfortunately no one knew about it at all since it was pretty isolated. The garden was filled with all types of plants and in the middle, a small Japanese themed pond laid there with some fish inside. Oh, and, frogs too, unfortunately due to Madeleine's weird taste of 'cute creatures'.
The duo sat down only a small bench and Megumi placed her bento on the table. Opening it, the smell of delicious vegetables and steamed fish escaped as Megumi and Madeleine gasped with wonder.
"Wah! Idakimatsu!" Megumi exclaimed as she dug into her food and Madeleine just stared at a bamboo, that was exceptionally higher than the others in the same bamboo bush.
An outcast... She thought. Just like me...
"Darling, be proud of yourself! You're the only one who has short and black hair for a girl!"
"Yes dad!"
Ah where those happiness went, leaving her alone with a room of emptiness in her mind and heart?
"Madeleine-chan?" Megumi chewed as her words broke Madeleine out of her thoughts. "Are ya kay'?"
"Yeah. I'm fine." Madeleine munched on the last piece of her sandwich and threw the wrapper into the dustbin as if it was like throwing a ball into the hoop.
"Hurry up. Five more minutes till' lunch break is over."
"Hai!"
__________
Whoosh whoosh!
The telescope swung around, looking for a target to see.
"Ah it's the girl!" A certain albino exclaimed as a blonde drank a sip of his cold bottled green tea.
"Ah you mean that girl? The girl yo-"
"SHADDUP JAMES!!!" The albino screamed as James muttered some words," Sorry."
"It's not a big deal Glibert. I'm just teasing for heaven's sake." James raised his left eyebrow as he drank his cold tea.
"Fine fine..." Gilbert muttered as he looked at the small hut that girl was in.
"But I'm still wondering one thing James..."
"What is it?"
Gilbert looked down at his telescope.
"Why is that girl called a [Devil's Child]?"
__________
"Daruma-san, fell over~" Madeleine hummed as she patted a griffin, which called out happily.
"How are ya little one?" Madeleine asked the griffin as it leaped onto her. Madeleine and the griffin were 'communicating' happily as a certain lavender-haired upperclassman was trying to take a photo of the brunette smiling.
Great! Now I'll be the first-
The girl's train of thoughts were exploded by the gunpowder inside the train. Madeleine just stepped and kicked the camera out of the girl's hand.
"Is that how you treat your senior b*tch?!" The lavender haired girl stood up and shouted at the brunette, who looked into her pink eyes.
"Rule #365. No electronic gadgets are allowed in the campus at all girl. So, I did nothing wrong and as a senior, YOU should follow the rules more properly than WE juniors." Madeleine glared at her as she picked up the camera, deleted the picture and gave it back to the girl.
"Leave. NOW." Madeleine commanded. "And if you want to fight, let's go out. This is a place for the animals, not for fights."
The girl gritted his teeth.
"Argh...You devil! Wait until my parents hear about this! And you shouldn't be born anyway!" The lavender-haired girl shouted at her as she ran off after snatching the camera back from Madeleine's hands.
The griffin snuggled into Madeleine's cloak and Madeleine bent down and ruffled the griffin's head. She looked out of the hut and glared at a shining thing.
"Ah she noticed us!" Gilbert exclaimed.
"Gilbert, let's go." James picked up some tools and waited for Gilbert.
Madeleine stared blankly into the sky and only one thought was on her mind.
I ...shouldn't be born anyway huh?
