So this part I going to be very different to fit in with my story line. I once again apologise to anyone who does not like the changes.

Chapter 15

As Abi stood with her eyes locked on Bucky's her voice got caught in her throat. She took another breath and tried  once again.

"People are gonna die, Buck. I can't let that happen." She said hoping for a response but was only met with that cold glare. "Please don't make me do this." Her voice cracked halfway through.

When she got no response she steadied herself. Without warning she threw a knife at his head. He blocked it with his arm and she ran at him. He shot at her but she dodged the first few. The fifth grazed her side but she didn't even wince. The downside was without her powers she healed a lot slower; the wounds would also all leave scars. She kicked the gun from his hand and then landed a kick on his chest sending him flying backwards. He soon got to his feet and pulled out a knife. He came at her but she blocked all of his attempts and kicked him from behind.

This gave her chance to run to the console and she punched in the code. The shelves moved down but Bucky came at her again. She tried to block the knife but he landed a kick in her stomach sending her back this time. She got to her feet and punched him across the jaw. She caught his arm as he tried to stab her from below and made him drop the knife once again shoving him back. She didn't want to do him any real damage and he could sense it. She ran to the console and pulled out one of the cards. She tried to get hers out of her pocket but Bucky tried to punch her. She ducked to the side as his metal hand hit the metal casing and crumpled it.

She punched him again but he shoved her into the metal barrier on the side of the platform. He grabbed her and sent them both flying over the edge. They hit an outcrop but Abi dropped the card and it slid behind Bucky. They both got to their feet and once again started fighting. Abi swung herself onto his back and wrapped an arm around his neck. He reached back though and grabbed the material of her jacket. He flipped her over him and she landed on her back and began to slide down. She grabbed the chip as she reached the edge and quickly stood.

Bucky was right behind her and he grabbed her arm making her drop the chip onto the glass under-dome that encased the deck. She kicked him off the edge before jumping down herself. Abi tried to grab the chip but Bucky pulled her leg out from under her. He picked up his gun and shoot at her again but she dodged. He threw the gun to the side and pulled out a knife. She grabbed his arms but he pushed the blade into her shoulder causing her to cry out. She head-butted him but her pushed her to the side and grabbed the chip. She pulled the knife from her shoulder and kicked him to the ground.

She grabbed his arm and twisted it back under her arm while she pushed her other hand against his face.

"Drop it!" Abi screamed at him as he tried to get his metal arm to her. "Drop it!"

When he didn't she pushed his arm forward and heard the pop as it dislocated. He screamed and the sound shattered her heart. He still didn't drop it so she flipped them so she had both her arms around his neck. His metal hand clawed at her arm so she managed to grab it and trap it under her leg. She pushed back tears as she tightened the grip around his neck. He kept fighting her until she felt his body go limp and the chip slipped out of his fingers. She removed her arms and dropped him to the ground. She grabbed the card and ran to the overhang.

"One minute." Maria reminded her over the comms.

Abi jumped and swung herself over onto the overhang they had both been on moments before. She planned a route to climb back onto the main platform and ran towards it. But Bucky had gotten back up and grabbed his gun. He fired a shot and it hit her in the back of the leg. She fell to the ground and touched it; her fingers coming back red. She got to her feet and carried on to the platform. She began to climb up when he fired another shot. It missed her by millimetres so she carried on climbing. She rolled onto the platform and got to her feet; limping on her leg.

"30 seconds, Abi!" Maria reminded her.

"Stand by." Abi groaned back as she pulled out the chip.

That was when another shot rang out. The bullet tore through her lower abdomen and sent her to the floor. She tried to catch her breath and to ignore the pain causing through her. She got onto her knees and somehow managed to plug in the last chip before collapsing to the floor.

"Charlie lock." She more or less whispered. She could see the blood beginning to seep through her shirt.

"Okay, Abi get out of there." Maria told her as the helicarrier's targeted one another.

Abi leaned her head back against the metal of the console and closed her eyes. "Fire now."

"But, Abi..." Steve started.

"Do it!" She yelled. "Do it now!" Abi moved herself so she could grab hold of the railings.

Maria readied the guns and with a nod from Steve fired the weapons.

They ripped into the sides of all the carriers sending debris everywhere. The shoots shook the carriers and Abi had a hard time holding on. Everyone watched as the carriers tore themselves apart. Abi heard Bucky screaming and saw that he was pinned under a huge piece of metal. The guns ceased to fire as the carriers began to slowly fall back down to Earth. The pair were on the highest one she knew she had time. Abi began to climb down to where Bucky was pinned.

She hit the floor and looked at Bucky. He was looking at her with scared eyes. He thought she was going to hurt him. He tried even harder to get out as she stepped up to the bar. Using the rest of her strength she managed to lift it enough for him to pull himself out. She dropped the bar and looked him in the eye.

"You know me." She told him as they both stood.

"No I don't!" He screamed as he punched her sending her to the floor.

She got back to her feet. "Bucky. You've known me your whole life." She said as her voice cracked with pain. He backhanded her across the face and sent her down.

She got up again; refusing to give up. "Your name is James Buchannan Barnes."

"Shut up!" Bucky screamed shoving her to the floor again.

But once again she stood. They were both panting from the effort. She pulled the ring from under her shirt. "I'm not going to fight you. You're my friend." It was easier to convince him; he knew her rather than loved her.

He ran at her and tackled her to the ground. "You're my mission." He growled as he punched her in the face over and over. He paused for a second to regain his breath.

"Then finish it." She said with the last of her energy. "Cause I'm with you, 'til the end of the line."

As the words left her lips he froze. His eyes went from murderous to scared. Something tugged inside his head. The centre console fell to the ground taking out the floor beneath them. Bucky managed to grab hold with his metal arm but Abi fell into the water below. As she hit the water she no longer cared whether she lived or died. That was until she saw the metal arm that reached for her and pulled her to the shore. That was when she let the darkness consume her.

Bucky laid her on the bank and watched as she took a breath. His eyes glanced to the ring on the chain around her neck. He looked at her face once more before leaving into the woods. He needed to find out who he was. He was scared of hurting her again so he left her on the bank side.

It wasn't long after that Steve and Maria found her and took her to the hospital.
