A normal day. In a normal town. With normal people. Ellsworth, Maine. Just an ordinary town.

Everyone in Ellsworth was having a perfectly normal day. No distractions, nothing out of the ordinary. Nothing strange. Until a man who was trying to leave town for a vacation noticed something at the edge of town. A wall of ice. The man stopped his car and parked at the side of the road. He started to inspect the wall. The man went back to his car and took out a baseball bat. He tried to break the wall but instead the bat broke. Shattered into pieces. But the ice wall wasn't the only cold new surprise that brought Ellsworth to its knees.

Nearly an hour after the ice wall was discovered a blizzard blew through Ellsworth. But it wasn't an ordinary blizzard. It was raging for the rest of the day and cut off all contact outside of Ellsworth. Something strange was happening for sure. But nobody could explain it. Well the children could. But nobody believed them. They thought it was magic. Ice Magic. Though again nobody believed the children. But what if........they're right?
