He was panting in the cell as he struggles to budge the gate open. Judging by the security of the area and the non stop surveillance, it is definitely not easy to escape from that area. He looked around the area with the hope in his eyes to look at things in a positive perspective. He sat on a stool where a dog lies motionlessly on the ground beside him, as jerome undergoes the last few moments of his life. He looked into the dog's eyes, recalling the deaths of a deer and the polar bear being seen outside of the bunker as few soldiers fired shots towards their direction. He closed his eyes and disappointment filled his eyes. It's him alone, leave alone those animals unable to survive from escaping from here.
As he starts to sweat, cold drops of water dropped from his face to his neck. In a few moments, a soldier entered the bunker cells. Doing his daily duties by checking all door's condition and the actions of whatever convictions might happen. The soldier is checking the door system on the opposite cell of his. Seems like the door was badly rusted from the aging of the bunker. He found hope and finally deduced that this is the best time for him to get into action. He dashed towards the cell door and grabbed the soldier's back shoulder. With the soldier's astonishment, the man draws back while holding onto the soldier. Causing a heavy impact hit on the soldier's back. It's not enough for the great soldier himself to feel the pain. Therefore, the guy picked up a stone nearby while holding onto the soldier, and started to hit constantly on the soldier as the pain grows to become a hot searing pain. With efforts and blood spluttered all over himself, noticing success on his work. A shining silver key was seen as he kneels down to grab those keys. With an instant unlock from the cell, he smelled freedom and happiness. He changed his days of same outfit and replaced it with a soldier uniform hanging around the security area. Throwing the dead soldier into his old cell, he picked up the pistol that belongs to the dead and decided to use it for protection. Checking through the glock, it seems like a good condition and ready to be fired anytime when crisis arises upon him. He quickly dashes towards the exit and raced towards the human resource department, where the entire bunker is out for dispatch of ammunitions. He entered the empty office room and frantically searched for something that seemed important. As he found his personal identity certificates and passport, he checked his name to Ensure it's the correct ones.
Indeed, Radaar Anderson.
Radaar saw his name and nodded with satisfaction. He took a military bag pack and stuffed those papers in, running off in a jiffy. He ran like a hero, dashing out of the office doors shooting at those who caught him snitching around the human resource department. Managed to escape from that part, indeed the sergeant of his own in the good old days. He was well trained, one of the best section commanders during those times. He jumps over the barricades, cutting through bunker inspection areas whereas now they are empty for the same reason of dispatching. He saw three soldiers guarding the main gate right in front of him as they noticed him. Due to the complete silence in the bunker, it is obvious that they heard his running and panting sounds.
Pulling out their snipers and pistols, Radaar dodges and ran for cover. The emergency red button was pressed and more soldiers came out of bunker rooms and bunks to investigate the situation that made Radaar nervous and worried due to the number of soldiers deployed. He ran towards the gate and fired a few shots at the guards. As the Guards fell to the ground feeling pain and paralysed, Radaar presses the gate opener as he finally sees the light in the open world filled with sceneric view.
As Radaar continues to run, multiple gunshots were fired at the back and around two to three dozens of soldiers continued to chase after him. Radaar noticed the freedom as he looked at the scenery in front of him. Huge rainforests and plantations surrounded him as he enters the wild, where no winter is active, only the hot summer of heat is real to him. No water, no food, he was determined to run as far as he could to fetch his beloved dog. As he continues to run, a loudspeaker at the back was heard.
"Radaar Anderson, if you do not stop right now, these two dogs of yours, you will never see them again!"
Radaar turned and saw Marshall and Chase frantically struggling in the hands of the soldiers as guns were pointed on them. Radaar told himself how bad the situation already is for him, and now this happened. "How the hell did they escape from the cell? I had no choice, run for your lives or die chase and Marshall."
With that, Radaar fired a shot at the soldier as he dropped both the pups onto the floor as the two pups ran towards different directions. Instantly, the soldiers fired their shots on both pups as Marshall dropped to the ground, as blood started to ooze out of his body. Chase dodged the shots, but one particular shot injuries his back paw and he was seen rolling down the hill into the forest and was no where to be seen. The soldiers came to a halt and ignored chase, knowing that he won't be able to survive Long enough. Radaar saw and immediately ran towards the last seen where chase rolled down the hill into the forest, hoping to be able to find him. On the other hand, he noticed the rest of the remaining soldiers were chasing after him. Radaar saw a small shape being surrounded by flies. He ran and noticed chase is lying and trying to grasp for air. He immediately carried chase and ran down even deeper to a river and dived into the water to cool Chase down and noticed his back paw was badly shaped. The bullet seemed to fly past half of his back paws and sliced it into half, as chase groaned with pain and whimpered. Radaar washed Chase and placed him into the bag pack while Chase went to rest. Radaar sat on the ground, where the river flows slowly, soldiers were seen shouting at a far distance behind them. Birds chirped merrily on tree branches as wildlife nature came into view. Radaar reloaded his pistol as a soldier suddenly appeared behind him. The soldier shouted for back up as he was alone, but it was too late.
Radaar pulled a knife out and slashed the soldier and suffocated him by crunching his neck by his well trained arms, as the soldier fell to the ground along with his sniper. Radaar noticed the sniper that the soldier had, looks alike with his olden day's personal sniper, a green camo-painted coating sniper with advanced scoping. He carried it with him as he carried a bag pack with chase still bleeding inside as he whimpered softly. Radaar noticed there are quite a lot of animals around and he have to be careful not to disturb them, or it may cause attraction which they soon will be discovered by the soldiers. Radaar started panting as he checked the bag pack's accessories halfway through the forest. He sat down somewhere on a hard root of a huge rain tree. Opening the bag and carried Chase out, and Radaar starting to sob as Chase whimpered softly to Radaar. He felt the pain of Marshall being shot at point blank yet unable to save him from crisis. Chase slowly crawled with pain on his back paws, stomach growling and touched Radaar with his soft front paw against his lap, where Radaar hugged Chase.
Radaar start searching the bag for anything that's left inside. Knowing it was found against the wall near the security area, hoping something good from it.
Radaar pulled a bottle of water out, which was fully filled. Gasping with instant shock, he immediately drank half full and shared another quarter load to chase, as the bottle of water is now left with a quarter. With slight hope of happiness, he continued to search the bag, and found several energy bar and packet of biscuits. Without thinking, Radaar popped a few of those from starvation, once again sharing with chase as well. Radaar continued to search and found other miscellaneous inside the bagpack. He found some sniper ammunition, a compass and a map, some shotgun shells and a silver lining key with a word "chest 85 lance corporal" on it. Radaar has always been a smart young lad, well trained in the military as a sergeant and knew many dog tricks towards these situations. He also found additional medication aid kits for all uses. Radaar immediately bandaged chase's little pup paws and kept him back into the bag. As everything else were gathered, Radaar found a map in the side of the bagpack. Radaar slowly reveal the map, as a half scaled map was shown, with a few missing parts of the map being torn out for some reason. Radaar noticed that this is a map of Yukon, Canada, where the bunker they were trapped in was back at the bottom left of the map. Further towards the centre of the map is where the forest they are currently at. Further TOP to the right is a big problem and a mystery.
The TOP right map was torn away with a few winter mountains shown in the map, and worst, the entire bottom right of the map was torn apart. This leads them only to the slightly torn TOP right winter mountain area to explore. Radaar now felt the urgency to find Buck back because of the next thing that he discovered. When Radaar turned the map over, there's a Long message written by Jake himself.
"Kill Radaar but don't kill Buck, we need Buck to be on our team. Do not let Radaar know we are killing his entire dog family instead of Buck. Also, we will be heading to the (.........) send regards to (————) blue mountain (......) as the stated address. "
Radaar started talking to himself. "What address? Which place? This is a clue." Radaar said as he pointed at the blue mountain words on the map, and then flipping over to see the colour of the map, which was blue as well. "If the map is painted blue in colour, the TOP right mountain is white colour, we should get there for now. But, what is this key for?"
Radaar wondered as he heard noises behind them as he immediately stood up and ran off. Radaar knew that they were near the cold blue mountains as the ground gets denser and softer, where the air gets cooler and less humid. Within minutes later, cold gust of winds and snow started to fall from the sky as Radaar ran faster towards the mountain direction.
Radaar knew that he is not able to make it if he runs slower as he don't have proper winter clothing attire and he started to miss Buck a lot. Radaar noticed a nearby hut which was locked. With determination and hoping for luck, he closed his eyes and opened the hut door.
"Shit, locked." Radaar rolled his eyes as he placed his bag down and started to dash towards the door to break it open. Radaar dropped to the ground, feeling dizzy as the door stayed strong and locked still.
Chase started to bark softly as he grabbed the keys from the bag and showed Radaar. "Owh. I forgotten about that. Hope it works. Oh wait, it works." Radaar used the key and opened as the lock stated "hut 85" which matches the number of the key as well. As the hut opens, a new feeling of warmth and peacefulness filled the room as Radaar closed the door behind him. Radaar noticed that the hut is pretty much like a small house. A set of old wool clothes which is pretty thick enough to keep one warm, enticed Radaar to "borrow" these clothes for a bit, well Radaar himself believes that he won't be here anymore, so why not.
He opened the storage closet and found 3 more numbered keys, stating 1,2 and 3 respectively. A weird keycard was found as well. Knowing that he is near the mountains, he decided that it's time to leave before the blizzard comes.
Radaar was about to leave when he found a photo peeking out of the closet drawer. Out of curiosity, he picked the photo up, looked at it with wonder.
Instead of a wonder, a horror it is. The biggest horror to Radaar as it shows a photo of Buck and Jake together for a hunting trip a few days ago, and Chase sniffed the closet as chase barked softly against it. More photos were shown inside the closet, and every single photo Radaar found, it was all photos of Buck and Jake throughout the entire trips they been through and the last photo he found was the worst.
It was a photo indeed, but a photo with a sentence.
"KOS(kill on sight) Radaar Anderson. No exceptions. Buck is mine already."
Radaar immediately took one photo and torn the rest and flip the closet apart as he dashed out of the hut with chase and ran towards the mountain direction when he heard dog sleds and soldiers screaming nearby....
