Tanjiro has not been having a good day

First there was the situation with Rui lower moon 5. Him using the hinokami kagura using his fight with said lower moon. Giyuu showing up again after 2 years. Another slayer trying to kill Nezuko who seems to know Giyuu. Him getting knocked out by the girl he remembers seeing in final selection. And now he is on trial for traveling with a demon even though she has never harmed, killed or eaten a human.

The 8 people in front of him are apparently the highest ranking slayers and the most powerful ones too. And the thing is that they all of them except Giyuu want Nezuko dead and don't believe a word he says about her not harming anyone.

Luckily the girl with pink and green hair seems to want to listen to him or st the very least give him and his sister a chance or at least wait until this 'Master' arrives before decing what to do.

"You know what's weird? I haven't seen Shinazugawa at all since we were called to this meeting" the one with white hair and what seems to be jewels on his head says.

"That is highly unusual! He is usually the first one here! He often comes early!" The one with yellow and red hair that sort of remind Tanjiro of flames says.

He wonders who this Shinazugawa person is as a smell for confusion emits from the 8 people. It seems that him being late is unheard of.

"I'm right here" A gruff coice says and they all turn their heads to see a man with white hair scars on his face, violet bloodshot eyes with a uniform rhat is open on the front showing even more scars and a well toned body. The thing that catches Tanjiro's attention though is that he is holding Nezuko's box. This must be the Shinazugawa that everyone is talking about.

The thing that catches Tanjiro's attention even more is his smell. He smells bored and also tired. Not tired as in wanting to sleep or exhausted but like he is just done with everything. But also there is something else there he has never smelt something like this before it smells.....advanced. It's the only way to describe it he smells different compared to everyone else.

"Had to get the demon that this kid has been traveling with" He says gesturing to Tanjiro. "Shinazugawa please don't act out of line" The woman with purple hair says no longer fake smiling. Tanjiro can smell that she is already not in a good mood and it seems that with this other person here it made her mood worse.

"Relax woman I'm not gonna do anything until the master gets here" He says rolling his eyes before walking over to the 8 people with the box still in his hands.

He kneels down in front of Tanjiro "So you say this demon can fight for the Corps as a demon slayer?" He asks lightly shaking the box.  "Yes! She has fought other demons before! Even when there were injured humans around she wasn't affected by them!" Tanjiro says looking right into his eyes.

He just stares for a few seconds before scoffing  "Tch, we will just see about that kid. Look the only reason she is still alive right now is becuase the master hasn't decided on what to do yet but I wouldn't get your hopes up. If your lucky he might spare your life and just kill the demon" he says glaring down.

Tanjiro knows he should be upset he should yell at him but his smell stops him. It was...still bored yet also caring? Why did it smell like he actually cared for Nezuko when he just said what he did.

He gets up (*Man I'm so fucking bored I just want to go back and train and maybe get some food later. I just want this meeting to be over and done with*) he says in a unknown language that Tanjiro doesn't understand and the other hashira seem to ignore him,it seems they don't understand him either.

Two voices catch everyone's attention and the same twins that were at final selection appear stating that the master has arrived. He feels a hand grab his head and push it down to the ground luckily not too forceful he didn't need a concussion right now. Looking with the best of his abilities it was Shinazugawa who did it and he is now in a kneeling position along with the other hashira.

A pale man with purple markings on his face appears. He smells very sick. Tanjiro can litterally smell the illness from here and it's so pungent on his powerful nose.  So this man must be the master of the demon slayer Corps?

"Mm… Good morning, everyone. The weather is amazingly good today. I wonder if the sky is blue. It pleases me that we’ve made it to our semiannual Hashira Meeting with no personnel changes." He says tiling his head up at the sky before seemingly looking at the hashira even though Tanjiro can tell that he is blind.

"I am pleased to see you in good health as well, Master. I fervently pray for your continued good fortune." Shinazugawa says with a very respectful tone. He can smell the respect and admiration the hashira have for this man and its alot.

"If I may, Master… Before we start the Hashira Meeting, would you mind enlightening us about this swordsman, Tanjiro Kamado, accompanied by a demon?" He says looking down at Tanjiro while moving Nezuko's box beside him. There was something in his eyes that Tanjiro can't identify exactly but he can tell that Shinazugawa is planning in doing something soon.

"Right. I apologize for startling you all.
As for Tanjirou and Nezuko, I’ve sanctioned their situation. And I’d also like you all to accept it." The master says to the shock of almost everyone the only ones who don't seem to be shocked are Giyuu and....Shinazugawa? Why wasn't he surprised? He acted like he was surprised but Tanjiro can tell that he is just faking it. The question is why?

The other hashira argue until the master has one of his daughters read out a letter from Urokodaki saying that if Nezuko were to ever harm a human he along with Tanjiro and Giyuu will commit senpukku. Tanjiro can't believe that Urokodaki and Giyuu are placing their lives on Nezuko he wants to cry so badly but he knows he can't not with the hashira here and in front of the master.

"So what if they commit ritual suicide? If you want to die, then rot for all I care! It’s no guarantee! Not by a long shot!" Shinazugawa says trying to take on a angry tone but again it's all fake. To others it may sound genuine but it can't fool Tanjiro's nose.

The other hashira agree with Shinazugawa. But then the master tells them that he has encountered Muzan Kibutsuji himself. That shocks almost everyone even Giyuu is shocked but again why was Shinazugawa not reacting to this? He keeps trying to fake his shock why though? Why isn't he shocked? He ran into the king of demons and apparently it's something no hashira has ever done.

Shinazugawa begins to ask him information on Muzan with a low tone demanding information and some of the other hashira also ask him for information. It's not like he had any information other than his looks and what he was doing in the city.

The hashira all go quiet when the master raises his finger to his lips. The master explains that something is happening to Nezuko and that's why Muzan sent pursuers after them and that he doesn't want to waste this opportunity now that Muzan has shown himself.

"Master,if it were human, I’d be okay with letting it live, but not a demon! Not after all that we Demon Slayers have gone through in battle! Not after so many people have lost their lives! It’s .....unacceptable!" Shinazugawa says with actual genuine anger.

Some of the other hashira seem to share the same sentiments if their smell was anything to say.  It was faint but he can tell that the other hashira were ever so slightly scared at Shinazugawas anger as if it isn't something that happens and when it does its scary.

"Actually master I think I have a idea as for how we can test to see if this demon will actually eat a human or not. If you allow it of course" Shinazugawa says catching Tanjiro's attention. A test? What kind of test?

"A test? Hmmm you may do so Sanemi" the master seems to be slightly intrigued. Oh so his first name is Sanemi? Sanemi gets up from his kneeling position "Kid if you know what's good for you don't get up" He says looking down at him.

He unsheathes his sword and cuts across his arm?! Tanjiro is shocked that he cut himself so easily without flinching. Wait was that how those other scars on his arm got there?! Just how often does this guy do this?!

"My apologies master but I must take this box inside as the demon can't come out when it's daytime." He says before going inside the house and into the shade. He then proceeds to....STAB NEZUKO'S BOX?!

He gets up angry and is getting ready to run up and headbutt Shinazugawa when something knocks him back down to the ground. Looking behind him is the man with the snake wrapped around his neck. He is pressing down on his back making it hard to breathe at all,let alone use any breathing techniques!

Shinazugawa glances at Tanjiro but doesn't say anything as if quietly saying 'I told you so!'. He hold out his bloody arm over the hole he stabbed on the box. "Come on out little demon it's time to chow down! I know you can smell my blood don't be afraid just take a bite!" He says looking down at the box.

He steps away allowing Nezuko to come out of the box. She grows in size and she is growling and drooling at the smell of delicious blood.  He just continues to hold out his arm that is dripping blood.

Tanjiro tries to get up but the snake man puts more pressure down on his lungs but thankfully Giyuu grabs the other man's arm and allows him to get up and run to his sister. He looks on scared for his sister. He jsut hopes this isn't the one time that she snaps and attacks a human. No he shouldn't be thinking that he has to trust in Nezuko!

Only around a minute passes in silence but it was the most tense minute he has ever felt before. Nezuko turns her head away from the bloody arm that is being offered in front of her. The other hashira smell surprised at her refusal. Shinazugawa doesn't seem to react much but Tanjiro can smell that he is.....relieved? Why is he relieved? Did.....did he believe that Nezuko wouldn't attack him?

The master asks what happened and one of his daughters explains what happened and that it proves that Nezuko won't attack humans even though she was stabbed. Shinazugawa takes out a roll of bandages from his uniform and wraps up his cut.

The kakushi take Nezuko's box back to the butterfly manor. But before they can take Tanjiro back he requests that he headbutts Shinazugawa for stabbing Nezuko much to the shock of the kaushi for speaking that way to the master and the kid with black and blue hair hurls a rock at him.

Shinazugawa gets down back onto the garden and looks at him "Listen kid and listen well, if your sister didn't go after my blood I highly doubt she will go after people. And would you like to know why?" He asks sporting a grin that doesn't look right.

"I'm a marechi blood and even my blood is very rare among marechi's if your sister didn't attack me with my rare as fuck blood I highly doubt she will attack anyone" He says to the shock of Tanjiro. He...he was a marechi? And a rare one at that?! 

Before he can get another word in the kakushi get him and take off and as he is being led away he can see Shinazugawas eyes on him with a unidentifiable emotion in them.

'Sanemi shinazugawa just who are you?' Tanjrio thinks to himself as he is being carried away

Taisho Era secrets

~before the meeting Sanemi grabs Nezukos box and explains to her that he will have to stab her to prove a point and that he apologizes in advance but it was necessary.

~ Sanemi keeps a roll of bandages on standby in case of emergancies or for when he cuts his arm.

~'man I'm bored' 'Wonder how Genya is doing' 'I hate having to fake this shit' 'oh shit this is the part where I cut myself' 'thank God that's over and soon this will be over and I can get some ohagi'  those were some of the thoughts running through sanemis head he has simple thoughts

~Sanemi meets up with tanjiro later to apologize for stabbing nezuko but makes him swear to him tell anyone. It's this that tanjrio realized that Sanemi is a good person and had good intentions he jsut had a unique way if expressing himself.

~when at the butterfly manor sanemi explains to Tanjiro that he stabbed nezuko to give her a incentive to eat so she can heal herself.
