The Betrayal Harsher Than Claws
"what have you done?!" Smaug hissed out as he stared at the body of his One, bloody and helpless. The brightness of her (s/c) scales was gone, and her eyes were closed. Blood seeped down from the claw wound on her chest where her heart was supposed to be.
But instead of beating inside her, it was beating outside her in Darkstalker's talon. The whole battle had stopped when they felt the thud of a dragon falling. it was more potent and more significant than the others, so the dragons present whirled their heads and saw a sight they never wanted to see. "why did you do it?" Isla asked, tears welling in her eyes, staring at Darkstalker, who had also tears running down his face.
He stared at the beating heart in his paw before staring at Dazyn's face. He knew he had to, but he didnt want to, so he didn't know what made him. Something snapped in him and made him do it; that was why he went through with it. But now, he couldn't stop the tears from flowing.
"I-I had to," he sobbed and flinched when he got thrown at the wall of a mountain. "YOU MISERABLE LITTLE RAT-!" roared Smaug in his face, and the Night/Ice hyrbid winced at the tone of his voice, clawing at his ears. "I knew you were bad. I always suspected it, but I let you live. B-Because of Dazyn!" Smaug hissed, his eyes welling with tears.
Soon his anger faded, and he let Darkstalker go, the latter slumping to the ground clutching the (e/c) dragoness's heart like it meant the world to him. "I never thought a dragon would go so low," Prince Esil rasped, his voice tight with emotion and anger. He was looking away from the bleeding body of the dragoness he loved. Dazyn's parents were crying, but no dragon said anything else nor did anything to harm the murderer.
"get out," Smaug suddenly snarled, and Darkstalker looked up, uncertain if he had heard it right. "get out," the red golden dragon repeated, his eyes turning away from the dark traitor. Darkstalker choked out a sob and looked at the dragon surrounding him and the body of Dazyn. He saw Winter, Qibil, and Moon all gazes downward.
They're disappointed in me, he thought with a pang of sadness. He didnt want to make them unhappy, but the NightWing queen said she had his mother in a cell, and if he didnt do it, she would die. While he felt she was lying to get someone powerful to do her bidding, he had been too angry even to consider what he had to do.
But now, where he was, it was as clear as day. He wasn't meant to make friends with the (s/c) dragoness; he was meant to kill her. But the queen had wrapped up the meaning hidden in sweet, promising words, but Darkstalker knew the purpose now. And his heart was breaking into thousands of pieces.
In the end, he got up, laying away the heart, still beating, pulsing red, dark blood out of its canals. He couldn't look at it nor hold it anymore, and he took to the bloody sky, the moon a blondish red to show there had been spilled blood this night.

I woke up to total darkness.
I heard nothing, felt nothing. That was until I saw a great light in front of me, taking the form of a dragoness that I felt familiar with. "wake up, my child," her voice was also friendly, like a summer breeze or the falling of rose petals. I groaned as I opened my eyes, seeing a dragon in front of me. And the room around us wasn't completely dark. It was filled to the brim with crystalline walls of clear glass reflecting me and the darkness.
"w-who are you?" I stuttered out in need turning to face the glowing dragon. she smiled, lowering her head, her bright blue eyes staring into mine "don't you recognize your goddess? have Death strapped you of your knowledge?" cold talons closed around my snout. I stared at her as if she had said something foreign. "what? D-Death? Am I dead?" I exclaimed, and the dragoness shrugged. "it depends on how you vision Death, my dear. For many, it is a cold, lifeless void, and for some, it is a place in the stars. How do you vision Death, Dazyn champion of the skies?" the goddess asked, and I sighed, looking down at my claws for a moment.
How did I viuson death? A cold, lifeless room? Or a place filled with light and happiness? I didn't know. And I don't know either. "I-I think Death shows you the places you fear but also the places you yearn the most with the people you love. I think Death is how you want it to be," I said, somewhat satisfied. The goddess seemed pleased and smiled before stepping up to me and laying a wing over my shoulders "you passed, my love; you shall join the world of the living again. I hear their cries for you every hour. you are needed in Tiressea, for nor the strongest of hearts can keep yours."
And then the world went black again, and I strayed out of thought and time before I woke up and felt life in me again. The sound of birds started to stir in my ears, and I could hear the distant roars and beating of the wings of dragons. I groaned and looked around to see I was in the forest Deep Wood. And the smell of raptors filled my nares, and I let out a sound between a call and a chirp, something I had learned from them.
I then heard the sound of talons on the ground and soon saw the familiar hides of Blue and Ripper. Once they saw me, their eyes teared up, and I smiled as they rushed over to me, bumping their snouts into me as much s they could.
"You're back!" Ripper chirped and nuzzled my neck lovingly, Blue doing the same on another side. I laughed, splaying out my wings and falling to my back so they could come closer to me. Soon they laid themselves on top of me and fell to ease. '
"Oh, I missed you boys," I purred, and they smiled at me "we missed you too," Blue said, and soon the two fell asleep in my emravbce, and I followed them tired out after today's events. But I knew tomorrow I had to face my tribe to show them that I wasn't dead. Then I had to face Darkstalker wherever he was.
Let's hope he is fine and won't be doing anything stupid.
