It was a frigid day in the town of Twincrest. The townspeople thought it was strange that is was that cold in April. But it appeared to have been a sign.

That day was the execution of Vivienne Astrana, who was labeled as  the "blasphemous" and "wicked sorceress" who would "be the end of us all". The streets were empty, but you could hear people running in the distance. There were people crying  and screaming "Let her go!" 

The council saw Vivienne as a threat, but was she really? She had saved everyone from their wicked fate, so why was everyone still so afraid?

I looked down at the crowd of people below me. My followers who were looking at me with weary eyes. My friends who couldn't even look at me. And yet I still put on a smile despite being chained up under a guillotine. It was the most uncomfortable I had ever been, even though I knew this would happen.

"You all are here to witness the execution of Vivienne Astrana and her foolery! She has been charged with blasphemy, witchcraft and offense against the council. Vivienne Astrana, do you have any last words?" 

"Yes, I do. But, could you take my head out of this guillotine? It's hard to project my voice." Some of the people in the crowd giggled. "I-I suppose we can let you out of the guillotine." 

I stood up and cleared my voice. "My devout followers, I have a message for you. I will not leave you to the Diminishers. I will be reborn again. My reincarnation will have golden blood, and will possess my  purple hair. She will have golden eyes and she will kill off Elistar Decroix and free you all!" 

" I want you to take down Elistar Decroix. He may not seem like it, but he is the embodiment of evil. He is head of the Diminshers, and will harm everybody if we don't stop him. And lastly..."

I locked eyes with my lover as tears streamed down his face. "I love you." I mouthed to him. I smiled  and put my head back under the guillotine. 

"Thank you all. This is goodbye." The guillotine fell onto my neck and quickly pierced through my skin. My neck began to burn but it went away. 

And I never felt anything again.
