Kendall

When I arrived at the training fields a good portion of the newbies was already there. I walked straight up to the head of the group.

"Alright ladies, today you will be learning how to properly use hand to hand combat. If you all cooperate I might teach you how to use a sword the correct way." I said. I heard whoops and hollers from the soldiers.

"Alright now partner up" I ordered. The soldiers did so, and we began. To be honest they were quite impressive. I only had to yell at one group.

When they were finished I kept my word and began to teach them sword fighting, but I was interrupted.

"Kendall" boomed the voice of Aslan" teach the kings and queens all that they need to know about weapons, battle, and horseback"

I nodded in response. I let the disappointed newbies go, and began to explain the situation the Pevensies. I started at the part when the White Witch began to rule after her husband died. Then I explained how we, the Narnians fighting back started. Lastly I ended with the prophecy.

They were dumbfounded. I just laughed.

"Come on, we need to start your training!" I announced.

I first showed the girls how to use their weapons. Susan had a bow and arrow, so I began with hers first. Before we knew it she was hitting the bull's eye. I went to Lucy next. She had a dagger. I showed her how to throw one, and in the next ten minutes she was throwing like a pro.

Now came the hard part.

"Ok boys I'm going to teach and show you how to use a sword."

As I began to demonstrate I heard a snort. I turned around and found that it belonged to Peter.

"Are we really gonna start this again?" I asked.

"I just don't think that the king of Narnia should be taught how to use a sword by a girl." He answered.

Edmund just stood there with his mouth hung open.

"Excuse me!?" I said "you're not king yet!" I yelled. Now I was furious.

"Says who?!" He yelled

"Me!" I exclaimed right in his face.

"You know what, if you think you're so great then why don't we spar?" I asked

"Fine!" He said

" Fine!" I replied

We got into position. Everyone gathered around us, even Aslan and Blade (who I thought as sound asleep). I let Peter make the first move, and it was horrible. He lunged I blocked. He would lung again, and I would block.

Then it was my turn. He was on the ground with his sword ten yards away from him in ten seconds at the least. I held my sword on its side between his chin and chest. I left a mark on his chin and chest, along with a gash on his arm. He's going to need stitches. I removed my sword and began to walk towards Lucy when Peter caught my attention

"You cut me!" He said furiously

"You were the one who asked for it!" I answered.

"But what about what happened in the forest between us?!" He whispered in rage

"Right then that didn't matter!" I yelled "you needed to learn your lesson, and my guess is you did. Now we'll leave it as that!"

Then I walked away leaving him wordless. I continued my walk and arrived where Lucy and Susan watched the whole thing.

"Are you ok?" Lucy asked

"Yes flower, I'm fine. Thank you."She answered with a nod as the boys came towards us. When they arrived tree nymphs came upon us.

"Your Highness, it is time." They said in a calm and hush voice. I nodded, and began to walk forward. I stopped.

"Come on." I said motioning the girls forward, and together we walked towards my tent. I turned around to find a confused Peter. If only he knew I thought.

Peter

I was in pursuit. I held her bracelet with care, and the flower with gentleness. I came upon Ed.

"Hey Ed, have you seen a girl with long brown hair? "I asked

"Ya, why?" he asked

"No reason!" I said quickly and ran away. Ed looked puzzled, so I just kept running. I saw the training fields and Kendall. I ran straight ahead, but there was a stop in the route. Aslan blocked my way along with Susan, Ed, and Lu.

"Come!" he said "It is time that the future high king of Narnia learns how to fight."

I nodded and followed. I was so close into being alone with her again, so close. As we walked I kept my head down. We were arriving to the training field when again Aslan boomed his voice.

"Kendall, teach the kings and queens all that they need to about weapons, battle, and horseback."

She just nodded. She called off her troops. Then she explained what we were here, and what the purpose is. She began with the story of the White Witch. Then she explained how the Narnians were fighting back. Lastly she explained the prophecy. I was shocked.

She started with the girls first. Edmund and I decided to look at the horses. Ed found a chestnut horse named Philp. None of the horses caught my eye. Which of these horses are worthy enough to carry the king of Narnia? Then, I saw it. A mystic white unicorn ran to me. I was in awe. I was about to pet it, but Kendall called for us.

"Alright boys, your turn!" she yelled.
Ed and I gathered around her as she began.

"Ok boys, I'm going to teach you how to use a sword."

As she got into position my head raced with thoughts. Why is the king of Narnia being taught swordplay by a girl?! I mean she's good, but is she king of Narnia good? I scoffed, and again I caught her attention.

"Are we really gona start this again?" she asked.

"I just don't think that the king of Narnia should be taught how to use a sword by a girl!" I answered. Ed's mouth just dropped.

"Excuse me?!"She yelled "you're not king yet!"

She looked furious.

"Says who?!"I yelled back.

Now I was furious.

"Me!" She yelled in my face. "You know what, if you think you're so great then why don't we spar?" she asked.

"Fine!" I yelled.

We got into position. Everyone was here watching us. I made the first move. I lunged at her, but she blocked me. I would lung again, but she would just block. She didn't have a single scratch.

Now it was her turn. I don't know what happened. Everything was a blur, and before I knew it I was on the ground at her mercy. She had me trapped. Her sword was just under my chin and above my chest. My sword was who knows where, and if I made a single move I would have a deep cut in my throat and chest.

When she removed her sword there were gashes not too deep below my chin, and on my chest. I also had a pretty big cut on my arm. I was furious. I saw her walking towards Lucy when I ran to her.

"You cut me!" I said with my anger rising.

"You were the one who asked for it!" she yelled back.

"But what about what happened in the forest between us?!" I whispered in a firm voice.

She just walked to Lucy leaving me behind. How could I have been so stupid? I hung my head as three nymphs came to Kendall.

"Your Highness, it is time." They said in a hush voice. She nodded and started forward, but she stopped.
"Come on" she said motioning Lu and Susan.

Together they walked to Kendall's tent. Kendall turned to look at me, but all I gave her was a confused stare. If only she knew how I felt about her. I again just hung my head, and walked to my tent.
