The Lindy Hop: In short? Yes, this was 100% my fault, but readaholic460 gave me the idea.

Long story: So readaholic (*makes derpy faces at you* :3) does swing dancing. It's super cool. At social events I try to imitate her and it normally goes quite badly. (Especially in heels.) But I understand the whole thing in theory, so I decided to shamelessly abuse that knowledge in order to create feelsy motif that will definitely come back in Raindrops on Roses and Whiskers on Kittens~

I actually put a fair bit of thought into other aspects of this though. For example, establishing that in this AU, faunus were a thing? That wasn't an accident - I liken it to using chord 1 on the first beat of a four-part harmony: do it, or everyone could potentially be really unsure what the key signature is until it happens. (Okay I'm probably the only person who understands this analogy but whatever...God, this is even worse than my obscure Pride and Prejudice references later...)
