Abhira sat on the swing, gently swaying back and forth as she lost herself in thought. It had been two days since she, Abhir, and Ishika arrived in Kashmir, and everything seemed to have changed.
The breathtaking scenery, the warm people, and the sense of belonging she felt here... it all felt so different from her life back in Udaipur.
She thought about her Mamu, who had welcomed her with open arms, and Bhumi... her Muskaan Mami, who was also her Bhua.
Abhira had given her the nickname Bhumi, and it suited her perfectly. her Bhumi was warm, kind, and had a spark in her eyes that made Abhira feel like she was home.
As she sat there, Abhira's mind wandered to all the new experiences she had encountered since arriving in Kashmir.
She had tried new foods, learned new words in Kashmiri, and even taken a shikara ride on the serene waters of Dal Lake.
The sense of peace and tranquility that surrounded her was like a balm to her soul. The swing creaked gently as Abhira pumped her legs, lost in thought.
She felt like she was discovering a new side of herself here, one that was more carefree and open to new experiences. She had always been the responsible one.
But here, in Kashmir, she felt like she could let her hair down and just be. Abhira's thoughts swirled with a mix of emotions as she thought about Armaan.
She wanted to give him a chance, to explore the connection they shared, but the pain of losing her firstborn still lingered, making her hesitant.
She knew that Armaan had also lost their baby, just like her, But the fact that he had hidden the truth from her - that their child was born dead - hurt her deeply.
Abhira felt like he had taken away her chance to grieve, to process her emotions, and to come to terms with the loss.
The secrecy surrounding the birth and death of their child had left her feeling betrayed and vulnerable.
As she wrestled with her emotions, Abhira couldn't help but wonder if she could ever truly trust Armaan again.
Could she forgive him for hiding the truth from her, and move forward with an open heart? The questions swirled in her mind, leaving her feeling uncertain and conflicted.
Abhira knew that she needed time to think, to reflect on her feelings, and to decide if she was ready to take a chance on Armaan again.
Abhira's gaze drifted off into the distance as she thought about Armaan's phone calls.
She had been avoiding him, not picking up his calls, despite the fact that she desperately wanted to know about his wellbeing.
A part of her longed to hear his voice, to know that he was doing okay, but another part of her was still hurting from the pain he had caused her.
Abhira's eyes widened in surprise as she heard the teasing voice behind her. She turned around to see Abhir leaning against the doorframe, a mischievous glint in his eye.
"Kyaa soch rhi hai chhotu, kya chalra hai tere chhote se dimaag mein?" (What are you thinking, little one? What's going on in that little brain of yours?) Abhir asked, his voice dripping with amusement.
Abhira rolled her eyes and sighed, feeling a mix of relief and annoyance. "Haww bhai, I'm not chhotu!" (Oh, brother, I'm not little anymore!) she protested, pouting her lips.
Abhir chuckled and pushed off from the doorframe, walking towards Abhira with a lazy grin. "Arre, you'll always be chhotu to me," he teased, ruffling her hair.
Abhira swatted at his hand, laughing. "Bhai, stop it! You're going to mess up my hair!" She tried to smooth out her hair, but Abhir just laughed and continued to tease her.
"I'm serious, Abhira," Abhir said, his expression turning serious. "What's going on? You've been lost in thought for days. Is everything okay?"
Abhira's smile faltered, and she looked away, unsure of how to answer. She didn't want to burden Abhir with her problems, but at the same time, she needed someone to talk to.
Abhira's voice was filled with emotion as she spoke, her words pouring out like a river. "Zindagi ke baare mein soch rhi thi bhai!" (I was thinking about life, brother!) she said, taking a long breath.
"Zindagi ne Abhira Sharma ko kitne surprises diye hai," (Life has given Abhira Sharma so many surprises) she continued, a hint of wonder in her voice. "Pehle mera sab kuch chheen liya aur fir sab kuch soot smet vapis bhi kardiya." (First, it took everything away from me, and then it gave everything back to me, stitch by stitch.)
Abhira's eyes seemed to glaze over as she thought about her past. "Mumma ke jaane ke baad mujhe laga tha meri zindagi mein aesa koi nhi jisse main apna keh saku," (After Mom left, I thought there was no one in my life whom I could call my own) she said, her voice cracking with emotion.
"Aesa koi nhi jisse mein keh saku yeh mera khoon ka rishta," (No one with whom I could share a blood relation) she continued. "Aur fir ek jhatke mein Kanha Ji ne itni badi family dedi mujhe," (And then, in one stroke, Kanha Ji gave me such a big family).
Abhira's face lit up with a smile as she thought about her new family. "Itna pyaar karne wala bhai dediya," (A brother who loves me so much) she said, looking at Abhir with gratitude.
"Ek mumma jaise bhabhi dedi," (A sister-in-law like a mother) she continued, her voice filled with emotion. Abhira's eyes shone with tears as she thought about the unexpected twists and turns her life had taken.
Abhira's voice trembled with emotion as she spoke about Kairav Mamu and Bhumi. "Kairav Mamu and Bhumi... unhe kaise bhool sakti hun mein?" (How can I ever forget Kairav Mamu and Bhumi?) she asked, her eyes shining with tears.
"Unhe meri existence ka pata bhi nhi tha," (They didn't even know I existed) she continued, her voice filled with gratitude.
"But they accepted me wholeheartedly." Abhira's face lit up with a smile as she thought about the love and acceptance she had received from Kairav Mamu and Bhumi.
"They didn't even question me, they just... accepted me," Abhira said, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Mamu's smile, Bhumi's laughter... it all feels so... familiar." Abhira's eyes drifted off, lost in thought, as she remembered the warm welcome she had received from Kairav Mamu and Bhumi.
Abhira's voice cracked with emotion as she spoke about the void in her life. "But there's still a void that isn't filled, bhai," she said, her eyes welling up with tears.
"I still miss Papa, whom I never got to meet. I wonder what he would have been like, what he would have thought of me.
Would he have been proud of the person I've become?" Abhira's questions hung in the air, unanswered and haunting.
"Mumma, meri toh duniya hi unke ird gird ghumti thi," Abhira continued, her voice barely above a whisper. "She was my everything, bhai. My whole world revolved around her. I remember the way she used to smile, the way she used to laugh. I remember the way she used to make me feel like I was the most important person in the world."
Abhira's face contorted in pain as she remembered the loss of her mother. "Pr ek jhatke mein woh bhi apni Abhira ko chhod kar chali gayi!" (But in one stroke, she too left her Abhira behind!)
Abhira's voice broke as she spoke about her baby. "Aur mera baby, my baby... uski kya galti thi?" (And my baby, what was his fault?) she asked, her eyes pleading for answers.
"He was so small, so innocent. He didn't even get a chance to live. Bhagwaan ji ne usse bhi mujhse chheen liya!" (God took him away from me too!) Abhira's body shook with sobs as she remembered the pain of losing her child.
She felt like a part of her had been ripped away, leaving a gaping hole that could never be filled.
Abhir's face was etched with concern as he watched his sister break down. He quickly wrapped his arms around her, holding her close as she cried.
"Abhira, I'm here for you," he whispered, his voice soft and soothing. "I'll always be here for you. You're not alone, okay?"
Abhira nodded, her tears slowly subsiding as she felt her brother's warmth and comfort. But the pain still lingered, a constant reminder of what she had lost.
Abhira's voice was barely above a whisper as she confessed her feelings to Abhir. "Aapko pata hai bhai, mein Armaan ko maaf karna chahti hun," (You know, brother, I want to forgive Armaan) she said, her eyes cast downward.
"Pr dar lagta hai," (But I'm scared) she continued, her voice trembling with emotion. Abhira's fear was palpable, and Abhir could sense the turmoil brewing inside her.
Abhira's voice was laced with vulnerability as she admitted her deepest fear. "I am afraid that I'll get hurt again," she said, her eyes welling up with tears.
The memory of the pain she had endured still lingered, making her hesitant to open herself up to the possibility of getting hurt again.
Abhira's heart was still fragile, and the thought of facing another heartbreak was almost too much to bear.
Abhir's expression turned sympathetic, and he pulled Abhira into a gentle hug. "Abhira, I know you're scared," he said, his voice soft and soothing.
"But you can't let fear hold you back. You deserve to be happy, and if Armaan is the one who can make you happy, then you should at least consider giving him a chance."
Abhira nodded slowly, knowing that Abhir was right. She couldn't let her fear of getting hurt again hold her back from experiencing life and love.
But it was hard to shake off the feeling of vulnerability that had settled in her heart.
Abhir's gentle kiss on Abhira's forehead was a comforting gesture that spoke volumes of his love and support for his sister.
Abhira's eyes fluttered closed as she felt a sense of calm wash over her.
"You're strong, Abhira," he whispered. "You can get through this. I'll be right here beside you, every step of the way."
Abhir's face broke into a wide grin as he joked about defending his sister's honor. "Aur main toh hun hi naa?" (And I'm right here, aren't I?) he said, puffing out his chest in a mock display of bravado.
"Agar Armaan ne firse tujhe hurt kiya," (If Armaan hurts you again) he continued, his eyes glinting with amusement, "mein uske daant todh dunga" (I'll break his teeth).
Abhira couldn't help but giggle at her brother's ridiculous threat. Abhir's grin grew even wider as he continued to joke.
"Aur usse white wig pehnakar pure Udaipur mein ghumaunga" (And I'll make him wear a white wig and parade him all around Udaipur), he said, chuckling at his own absurdity.
Abhira laughed outright at the mental image of Armaan being paraded around Udaipur in a white wig. Abhir's joking had lifted her spirits, and she felt a sense of gratitude towards her brother for being there for her.
"Ek board latka dunga," (I'll hang a board around his neck) Abhir continued, still grinning, "Dadaji Khadoosmaan!" (Grandfather Grumpy!).
Abhira laughed even harder at the silly name she had given to armaan, feeling a sense of joy and normalcy wash over her.
"Bhagwaan kare tum dono aese hi khush raho!" (May God keep you both happy like this!) Keerti exclaimed, her eyes shining with warmth.
Abhira and Abhir's faces lit up with bright smiles as they saw Keerti and Naksh standing in front of them, beaming with joy.
Abhira and Abhir chimed in unison, "Nani! Nanu!" (Grandma! Grandpa!), as they rushed to hug Keerti and Naksh.
The four of them shared a warm group hug, filled with love and laughter. Abhira felt a sense of happiness wash over her, surrounded by the people she loved the most.
Abhir grinned mischievously. "Bas, Abhira ko Armaan se bachane ki planning chal rahi thi." (Just planning to save Abhira from Armaan.) Keerti and Naksh chuckled, knowing that Abhir was always ready to defend his sister.
Ishika smiled warmly as she entered the room with a bowl of steaming hot noodles, accompanied by Kairav and Muskaan.
"Hassi mazak ho gaya ho toh dinner karle?" (Now that you're done laughing and joking, shall we have dinner?) she asked, her eyes sparkling with amusement.
Abhira's eyes lit up at the sight of the noodles, and she eagerly asked, "Kyaa banaya hai bhabhi?" (What have you made, sister-in-law?)
Ishika smiled, knowing Abhira's love for noodles. "Tumhare favourite noodle," (Your favorite noodles) she replied, and Abhira's eyes sparkled with excitement.
Abhira quickly got up and walked towards Ishika, her stomach growling with anticipation. "Mmm, I'm so hungry!" she exclaimed, taking the bowl of noodles from Ishika.
Kairav and Muskaan chuckled at Abhira's enthusiasm, and Abhir grinned, shaking his head in amusement. "Noodle ki deewani," (Noodle fanatic) he teased, and Abhira playfully rolled her eyes.
The group sat down to enjoy their dinner together, filled with laughter and conversation, as they savored the delicious noodles.
