CHAPTER 8
'He is so broken'.
Jimin thought as he looked at Taehyung who sat on the couch hugging his legs close to his body. He rocked his body slightly on the couch as tears kept flowing down his face. He didn't make any sounds, just sat staring straight into nothing as he cried.
Jimin loved Jisoo as the sister he never had. He remembered the time he had spent and he would always cherish those memories.
He walked up to him, sitting beside him. He was about to say some comforting words when he heard the doorbell.
"I'll get it", Jimin said.
Taehyung didn't even respond, just sitting like a statue.
He walked up to the door, opening it to see three men and a lady who were talking in hushed voices. The lady nudged them as she noticed his presence.
"Hey", Yoongi said, shoving his right hand into his jacket revealing a badge which he brought up to Jimin eye level.
"Can we come in?".
Jimin stood there staring at them, not sure if it was the right time for them to come but they needed to do their job.
He moved aside as he nod his head slightly.
"Sure".
The three of them walked in and sat on the opposite couch facing Taehyung as Jimin sat down beside him.
Namjoon cleared his throat gaining everyone's attention except Taehyung as they stared at him.
"We're the detectives in charge of your sister's case", he said pointing at Yoongi and himself.
Jimin looked at the third man and the lady questionly, not sure why they were here since the detective didn't point at them. He kept his questions to himself and listened to what the detectives has to say.
"We're sorry for your loss", Yoongi added.
"I'm Namjoon, this is Yoongi, the red one is Hoseok and she's Jan Di", Namjoon introduced.
"We'd like to ask few questions", Yoongi began.
"Go on", Taehyung said with no trace of emotions in his hoarse voice.
"The officer told us you were pretty convinced that your sister was murdered, why did you say that", Namjoon asked.
"Well, first her body clearly screams that she was murdered", he said, coldly glaring at them making them shift uncomfortably in their seats.
"Secondly, I received a text from her saying she'll crash with one of her friends but her friend said she had left the place last night before 9 saying she was heading home".
"When was that?", Namjoon asked, referring to the text message.
"Minutes after 9", he replied.
"Did you ask where she was going with her friends?", Yoongi asked after thinking for a while.
"No".
"Do you know where her friends live?".
"No".
"Do you know any of her male friends?, Yoongi asked slightly irritated at how clueless he is.
"No".
"What about where she usually hangs out?", Namjoon asked hoping for some positive answers.
"No", he replied softly. He had always been working on different jobs, he lost out of most of Jisoo social life.
"In other words, you're absolutely useless with this case", Yoongi stated staring at him dead in the eye.
Taehyung didn't respond and just stared back. Guilt flashed across his face as he tightened his lips and clenched his teeth. Jan Di shot Yoongi a glare who just shrugged as he thought he didn't just said hurtful words.
"It's okay. We'll find out the truth", Jan Di said gently, looking at Taehyung who looked at her with a small smile.
"You're the new employee at the Health Centre?", she asked, more like stating it.
He nodded as she smiled at him.
"Will you be able to come to work tomorrow, if you want, I can_".
"No, thank you. There's no need for that", he said, cutting her off.
"We would be leaving now", Hoseok announced.
"Okay", Jimin mumbled.
The four of them stood up and walked to the door. As they were about to leave, Taehyung spoke out.
"I'd like to investigate with you", he said with pleading eyes.
Yoongi looked at him and sighed.
"Okay kid, your sister would appreciate it", he smiled.
"Thank you", Taehyung replied smiling a bit.
"I want to help too", Jimin said quickly beside Taehyung .
"She was like a sister to me too and I'm Jimin by the way".
'The group just keep increasing'.
Hoseok thought.
"Okay, we'll work this out...TOGETHER", Namjoon said, looking at each one of them as they all nod their heads in agreement.
***
He sat on the luxirous padded chair staring the painting, crossing his right leg over the other with a glass of wine in his left hand.
He stared at the painting on the wall right above the fireplace. The glow of the flames bathed the painter in orange hue bringing out horrors painted on it.
The two black roses lay entwined in each other's stems with the thorns as horns and the hollow space between them a timeless face that never ages.
The painting reeked of death. It was a painting like no other. One that could not be made by any artists and one that certainly can't be made with paints. It was a painting created from pure terror and endless pain and perfected with shedded blood.
The painting was nothing, but the relic of the devil himself.
He walked up to the painting touching the black roses painted on it. He could feel the darkness within as his slender fingers moved elegantly across the painting.
He had fed it a soul a day ago. The girl had been young and full of life. She was beautiful too, he thought as he snickered. Just the perfect one for the first time in years. It wouldn't be until later he has to feed it again.
Now all he had to do is wait, like a cheetah waiting for the right moment to leap at its prey. He was sure it wouldn't be long until he has to go out again.
'The Albtraum doesn't wait for long'.
He thought as he walked out of the room, locking the door securely afera him.
