At Hell's Gate

When people are scared out of their minds, they will do anything. Some hit me and pushed me onto the metal floor. Some even stepped on my fingers as they ran around.

The lights came back on and I realized that most of the people were lying on the floor. "Nate!" I heard Sophia screamed. I looked and saw that what Nate held in his arms, was a limp body. Her eyes were wide open and blood poured from her mouth and stomach. Emily was dead.

"How did.. How come?" Nate stuttered as he let her head fall onto the seat. I looked around. Looking for the culprit, but saw something else.
It stood at the doorway leading to the captain's quarters. It stood motionless with the blood stained knife in one hand. I screamed and pointed to his direction for everyone to see. When they saw they screamed much louder than me and ran towards the back.
It dropped the knife and slowly approached us.

"You just couldn't follow the rules, could you?" He snickered as he reached Emily's dead body.
He then stabbed her repeatedly with another knife that just appeared in his hand. The squishing sounds of organs getting punctured filled my ears and I cried in fear.

After nearly fifteen stab wounds, his head made a rapid turn towards us at an impeccable speed.
The train kept going and who I assumed was the captain was standing right before us with Emily's blood all over his clothes and face.

His head was black as if it was brutally burnt, yet his body was normal. His left eye was completely black while the right was normal. The sick smile he have us shouted his nasty, sharp teeth that were too much to count.

"Allow me to introduce myself," he spoke and everyone screamed at his gruff and inhuman voice. "I am Mont. Capitaine, owner of Heaven Express. At least I used to be." He spoke slowly, emphasizing each word. "This train has an incredible reputation of transporting people to where they actually belong, hell."

If the back wasn't metal, I'm sure we would burst through it already just by the amount of force we are using to lean onto it.

"Though this ride is free, there is a cost to pay." He continued. "If you're a pure soul, innocent and undeserving of these tortures, then you'll survive. If not, you will not leave this train alive." Everyone lost it at those gruesome words. Some people just couldn't believe what was happening and they fainted.

"As we enter through the gates of hell, these special creatures feast upon the souls of the wicked, the liars and the frauds. So I don't have to single you out though I know each and everyone of you already." He sinisterly smirked at us. "How?" Someone asked loudly.
"I have a tendency to visit all of my passengers before the trip, ain't that right Laura?" He looked at me and I was beyond shocked.

So, all along Sophia was right. The rumours were infact true. Suddenly, the lights flickered then shut off in the blink of an eye.

The lights then came back on in a second, but Mont. Capitaine vanished with the darkness.

Suddenly, the intercom screeched again. "Ladies and gentlemen, we are arriving at our destination, hell's gate." We all knew what that meant. There was no way out and all we had to do was search our hearts and souls to ensure that we will not be killed for our sins.
