Blake: Ruby, slow down!

Ruby: Not yet! Not yet! We're almost there!

*puppy Ruby said, as she ran faster than kitty Blake could keep up, and when puppy Ruby went on all 4, she really ran much faster than kitty Blake. Puppy R
Ruby felt the wind on her face, the dirt on her bare palms and feet, and she could feel how her semblance was starting to activate on instincts. She was loving every second of it. While Kitty Blake was breathing heavily, her feet's were hurting, her lungs felt as if they were on fire, and she hated running*

Kitty Blake: Ruby, slow down! Or I'll call you the B word!

Puppy Ruby: But we're almost there! Almost there!

*Puppy Ruby whined as she stopped running, sliding as she stopped with how fast she was running. She turned around, smiling brightly at Kitty Blake, her tail wagging so fast that later on, Puppy Ruby would have to go to the hospital for a happy tail syndrome. Kitty Blake caught up with her breathing heavily. When she reached the dog faunus, she was holding her knees breathing so hard that she was making that sound you make before you throw up*

Kitty Blake: God, you run way too fast

Puppy Ruby: No, I don't. You just run too slow! Come on, come on! It's so close! You're gonna love it!

* puppy Ruby said, jumping up and down, all around puppy Ruby, looking like pinky pie from mlp. Kitty Blake sighed, sitting down on the autumn leaves on the ground to catch her breath. She shook her head, wondering just what the hell got ruby so excited.*

Kitty Blake: Ruby, I love you. Really, I do. But I need a minute to rest up

Puppy Ruby:Hmm... oh! I know!

* puppy Ruby said with a blush on her face since blake told her she loves her. Not the way Puppy Ruby was thinking, but she still loved her all the same, so that motivated puppy Ruby to grab Kitty blake and give her a piggy back ride, holding her legs, safe to say this wasn't what Kitty blake wanted*

Kitty Blake: wah! Ruby put me down!

Puppy Ruby: Hold on! This way, you can rest, and we can get there!

*puppy Ruby said with a bright smile, running faster and faster on 2 legs. She had the biggest smile on her face as she kept running, ignoring Kitty Blake's yelling her face off, feeling her lunch going up her throat*

Kitty blake: Ruby, slow down!!

Puppy Ruby: Huh? What's that? Go faster?! Ok!

*puppy rubby said with a crazy smile on her face, feeling as he legs start literally glitching out, turning into rose petals. Blake lost absolutely all the color from her face, as she could feel her fish tacos at the back of her throat. Puppy Ruby was gonna pay for this.*

Kitty blake: No!!

Scene change of chibi puppy Ruby running as fast as she could with chibi Kitty blake on her back and chibi kitty Blake throwing up a rainbow from her mouth

*we see Puppy Ruby on all four trying to look as small as possible, while  Kitty Blake kept scolding her, saying the B word over and over again, to make Puppy Ruby whine louder, and for her to get smaller*

Kitty blake: Bad dog! Very, very, very, bad dog! I told you that I didn't want to go fast! Bad, bad, bad dog!

Puppy Ruby: I'm sorry....

*Puppy Ruby whined softly, feeling like crying. Kitty Blake huffed, annoyed, with her arm crossed, her mouth tasted horrible, and her throat hurt since she had acid reflux from vomiting, so yeah. Safe to say that kitty Blake is justified to be angry right now.*

Kitty Blake: Now, hurry up and show me what you wanted me to see

Puppy ruby: ok! You are gonna love it!

*Puppy Ruby said her mood instantly, becoming happy again. Even if she had to dry her tears and snot with her shirt, she walked ahead of Kitty blake and Kitty Blake followed, till she saw what all the excitement was about*

*it was a small treehouse with a swing connected next to it. Kitty Blake looked at the house and then looked at puppy Ruby with a mix of an annoyed and amused smile on her face. *

Kitty Blake:.....you made me throw up, because of a tree house?

Puppy Ruby: Yeah! It can be our secret clubhouse! No one can know about it but us, and here you can read all the books you want without somebody interrupting you!

*Puppy Ruby excited she was practically shaking with excitement, since before coming to the island, the only treehouse she knew was from books. Kitty Blake's smile became a little less annoyed and more interested. *

Kitty Blake:.....ok, that part doesn't sound so bad. But how do we even know if it belongs to anybody?

Puppy Ruby: I smelled it! No one had been here for a very, very, very long time.

*Ruby said with confidence that her nose is as good as it gets. She even marked her territory on the place, so the other faunus would know that the treehouse was now hers. Blake could smell what Ruby did, but ignored it, since well it was normal for faunus their ages to do this, so she just nodded, looking at the small house.*

Kitty Blake: ok. So we have a clubhouse

Puppy Ruby: we have a clubhouse! Let's go inside and play house! I can be the mommy, and you'll be the daddy!

*Puppy Ruby said with a blush on her face, imagining adult blake and herself being married, with a baby. A baby that Puppy Ruby believed you get by kissing.*

Back to the present

* we see a much calmer adult Ruby rose with her hands hold together on her lap, as Penny pushed her wheelchair forward to the old treehouse. They were still a way away, and penny was, of course, complaining about Blake.*

Penny: I don't understand why....

Ruby: Penny. Enough. I have had it with your attitude, with my dad's attitude, with winter's attitude. I have just had it, if you don't like blake fine. But mind your manners since I DID NOT raise you this way. And I have had it

*Ruby said with a mix of an angry and disappointed sigh. She loves her daughter. But her attitude has driven her up the wall.  But at least she looked ashamed of upsetting her mother, so with her head down*

Penny: I'm sorry, Mama

Ruby: Are you really sorry? Or are you just sorry that you're upsetting me ?

*Ruby said with a shake of her head. She gets it. She doesn't like blake, ok. That's fine. What she won't accept is just the constant insult to her friend or her choices of letting blake back into her life. Penny pursed her lips a little as she spoke*

Penny: I know you want me to say the first one, but it's the second one

Ruby: Then I can't accept your apology. Not until I see some changes around your behavior, since it's frankly unacceptable. I didn't raise you like this, and I have raised you better than this, so you better fix your attitude, young lady. Am I understood?

*Ruby said in a stern tone. Looking back at Penny, Penny sighed a little and nodded, squirming as she couldn't look her mother in her eyes, Ruby shook her head a little and looked forward. Where she saw it, their little clubhouse*

Ruby " man, it's much smaller than I remember"

*Ruby thought, looking at the place she played with blake so many times. Penny was looking around at the place and saw the very old looking treehouse, the swing that Ruby used to play in. One of the strings was broken. At the distance, Penny activated her heat vision and scowled, seeing blake there. They made it there, and Penny helped Ruby out of her chair and up the latter of the tree house. Ruby finally gave her daughter a smile as she spoke with her.*

Ruby: Thanks baby, keep a lookout outside while I talk with blake

Penny: ok, Mama

*Penny said with a small smile of her own, as she took her swords out and spins them around her back, as she looked around the surrounding area for trouble. Ruby nodded and crawled inside, seeing blake there hugging her legs, with her face in-between her legs*

Blake: You know, i came here to be alone

Ruby: Then why choose this place?

*Ruby said with a small smirk, looking around the place. She hasn't been in almost a decade what was once a big house for puppy Ruby, now turned into a snug room.  Blake moved her head up and rested it on to the side as she spoke.*

Blake: I thought you forgot about it

Ruby: Why, forget the place where Little blake and Ruby Jr. Were born? I'm quite insulted by my darling husband, of mine.

*Ruby said with a fake, annoyed expression. Blake snorted at what Ruby said, remembering when Puppy Ruby said that baby came from kissing, and she's embarrassed to admit that she believed it. The amusement quickly left as she was gonna ask for some privacy from Ruby*

Blake: Ruby....

Ruby: If you don't want to talk, that's fine. But I'm not gonna leave you alone. You've proven that you can't really be left alone with your thoughts, less you do something stupid.

*Ruby said flatly. Making blake purse her lips, Ruby could be so mean when she wanted to, so with her cheeks puffed up a little, Blake spoke but it was more of a mutter, than anything else, they were so close that even in a whisper ruby could hear what blake said. And it was just one word.*

Blake: mean.

Ruby: Truthful. Now scoot over, there's not a lot of room in here

*Ruby said, as she crawled next to Blake, blake scooted over as much as she could to give Ruby space, but it wasn't a whole lot, since there wasn't a lot of room to begin with, but they made it work. They didn't talk for a long time, Ruby just sat there being emotional support, until blake decided to speak*

Blake: he's still not over it

Ruby: I could see that, but I don't know what that "it" actually is

*Ruby said in a gentle tone, having a feeling she'll need to play the therapist friend. Blake sighed as she stopped hugging her legs and laid them down on the floor. Blake pursed her lips, feeling frustrated with the situation. She was thakful that Ruby was here calming her down with just her presence*

Blake: me becoming a huntress, instead of a ruler of mistral. He wanted me to follow his footsteps to the letter, and I just couldn't do that

Ruby: I imagine it must've been suffocating to live up to your father's expectations

*Ruby said gently, the snort that blake gave confirmed what she said, She was thinking about her father, thinking about herself, thinking of the journey she's taken. She gave a soft chuckle, thinking his different their fathers are*

Blake: You have no idea. Literally, your dad doesn't strike me as the kind who would want his child to follow behind him

Ruby: You would be correct. My father once told me, " I've done a lot of bad, in order to be able to do a lot of good now." I can only imagine all he had to do in order to be in the position as leader and head of the council of Atlas. But we're getting off tracked.

*Ruby said they could talk about her father at another time. They were talking about Ghira. The person who blake got her stubbornness from. Blake nodded as she continued to talk, a small frown on her face as she kept talking about her feelings.*

Blake: Right. I felt trapped. I felt like I couldn't breathe on this island, like I couldn't be what my father wanted me to be, so I was instantly a failure in my mind, at least. Or I guess not so much, given his reaction

Ruby: Come on, you know he loves you. He was just under a lot of pressure

* Ruby said, putting her hand on Blake's thigh and rubbing it, to give blake some physical support. Blake blushed a bit by the action, but she was still grateful for the action. Even if she did let a bit of her self hate show.*

Blake: You can love somebody and still be disappointed at them. Like you are with me

Ruby: I get what you're saying, but I'm not disappointed in you. Nice try with trying to justify your self hate, though. I get annoyed by you, I get angry by you, I get happy by you. I get so many emotions, but for now, I'm not disappointed in you

*Ruby said with a sigh, thinking for the months that had passed since they met each other again. Blake just hummed, resting her head on Ruby's shoulder. As she spoke about something she hated to talk about, blake talked about her past*

Blake: Hmm. Anyways, when I returned after disappearing, from the white fang, my father acted like nothing happened, like I've never done anything to shame him, he was happy to have me home. But I feel like he was only happy that his heir returned, not that his daughter returned, and when I told him that I don't plan on taking the throne... things changed. He never said it, but I could see it in how he acted. He was disappointed in me.

Ruby: Hmm. Well. What are you gonna do now?

*Ruby questioned as she scratched Blake's cat ears, making the cat girl purr softly, enjoying the petting she was getting, it's been literal years since she let someone touch her cat ears, it felt so nice when Ruby touched them*

Blake: Purrrrrrrr. What's right. My dad can be angry all he wants. But I'm gonna help my people, I called my friends, and they're coming over to help with team JNPR. You'll like them. Nora is like a you when you were a puppy.

Ruby: she must be a handful then. I sure hope she never marked her territory in anything.

*Ruby said with a chuckle, remembering when she used to be a bundle or energy, how things have changed, and now she's a lot more reserved with her energy and her attitude as a whole. Blake chuckled with Ruby as she rubbed her head on Ruby's hand since Ruby found Blake's sweets pot*

Blake: Not the way that you did, at least.

Ruby: Hmm. Ready get out of here?

* Ruby asked, and she pretty much got her question answered when blake made herself comfortable. She was still purring as she stretched her legs and arms like a cat, making sure to stretch her toes too.*

Blake: Not... not yet. I wanna stay here a bit longer

Ruby: ok. Take your time

*Ruby said, sitting next to her, feeling her back on the old wall, as the figure of puppy Ruby and Kitty Blake appeared in the treehouse. Adult Ruby and Blake couldn't see them. Of course, this was just an old memory of the house. Back when it was used, both little girls were smiling, playing together, with smiles on their faces, puppy Ruby having a smitten smile on her face, while Blake had a knowing smile, but there was also a bit of awkwardness since she didn’t want to accept Ruby's feelings. How things have changed, since now it's Blake who has the smitten smile. While Ruby?*
