*it's been a few days since last chapter, with no sign of the raging beast that the 7 of them were looking for. We see Blake and penny in a cave, yang left to find more firewood, both of them stayed in an uncomfortable silence, just looking at the cackling fire. Penny glanced at Blake, and the ridiculous coats she was wearing*

*Blake on the other hand, just concentrated on keeping herself warm.*

Penny: I could kill you.

Blake:well... That's one way of breaking the ice

*Blake muttered, although both of them knew that Blake was holding her borrowed weapon more tightly*

Penny: just stating facts, I could kill you and get away with it. All I would have to do, is make it seem like it was the wendigo.

Blake: ok. Well, this little fear thing your doing isn't gonna work on me

*Blake said with a hum, rubbing her mittens covered hands so to get warmer, penny slowly looked at her with a cold unfeeling robotic look*

Penny:who said I care enough about you to scare you? I'm just telling the truth

Blake:well, here's the truth as I see it. You're trying to scare me, so that I'll stay away from ruby. But newsflash, I'm not going anywhere. I want her back in my life

*Blake said seriously, penny moved her head to the side, with the ghost of a smile she had on, turning into a scowl*

Penny:you don't deserve her in your life

Blake: on that we completely agree, but I'm selfish.

*Blake admitted with a sigh. She looked down, and concentrated on the crackling fire*

Blake: I want her in my life, and I'm gonna do everything in my power to make it happen. And if that means, dealing with a borderline yandere robot daughter, then so be it

Penny:....

*Blake said, there wasn't a shred of doubt of fear in her voice, she took on Salem, the old white fang, and currently is now facing against a mythological type Grimm, she's not afraid of a robot. Heck she even smirked a little behind her scarf*

Blake:also the fact, that if you kill me, we both know ruby will ask if you had anything to do with it, you can lie to her sure. But we both care for ruby too much to lie

Penny:.... Your no fun if I can't scare you

* Penny said with a huff, crossing her arms. Blake just hummed, her smirk disappearing into a melancholy look on her face*

Blake: please, there's nothing you can do, that I haven't done to myself, or thought about myself

Penny: you are a very sad person. You should consider therapy

*Penny said, and then Blake said something that really made penny angry, since Blake unintentionally insulted ruby. And honestly penny was just looking for an excuse*

Blake: therapy is nothing but a load of crap. I'm not gonna spend 200 bucks an hour, to talk to some fake doctor. Who couldn't cut it as a real doctor

Penny:..... You know my mother goes to therapy right?

* Penny said with a smile, her eyes going from green to red, finally having some sort of excuse to attack this cat. Both of them stopped at what they were gonna do, when they heard a low growl, they looked deeper in the cave, and all they saw was red eyes and bloodied red teeth*

Meanwhile Ruby's version of today

*We see her in bed. Hugging a plushie of a big black chibi wolf, ruby herself was in her PJ's which was a pair of black shorts, and a very pink hoodie, with fake wolf ears*

Ruby's alarm: Oh, sinnerman, where you gonna run to? Sinnerman where

*Ruby was awaken by her alarm clock, she frowned a little as she was waking up, since she was having a dream where she was running. A dream where she had her legs again. *

Ruby's alarm: you gonna run to? Where you gonna run to? All on that day

*Ruby heard, but she didn't turn off her alarm yet, she just laid there, feeling the nub ends of what remains of her legs*

Ruby's alarm: We got to run to the rock Please hide me, I run to the rock
Please hide me, run to the rock

*Ruby shook her head with a sigh. And turned off the alarm on her phone, she took a breath, and climbed to her chair. as she wheeled out of her room, and into the bathroom, to take a shower, use the toilet, and brush her teeth. She got out and went to the living room, grabbing her purse and with that, she left her home. To wheel herself to a cafe since she didn't want to eat alone*

Ruby:maybe I should get a pet, not a dog, I would get territorial. Oh! Maybe I could get a couple of ferits, they're so cute. I'm sure penny would also love them

*Ruby said to herself, as she put her earphones and just rolled away listening to music, as she made it to the cafe in no time, well. No time since she was listening to music, in reality she was wheeling for a whole hour. But ruby is in shape, so she didn't sweat all that much*

Coco:well well. If it isn't velvet's little pet

Ruby: hello to you to doctor coconut, I'll have the special this time, and instead of tea. I'll just have water

*Ruby said with a smile As she paid Coco in cash, and went to her usual spot. She took her phone out. And started scrolling through social media, finding photos of hunters in completed missions. She couldn't help but purse her lips a little*

???: if you concentrate on others successes you'll never be happy with your own

Ruby: hello yatsu. And I'm very happy with my success.  I'm 21 and my own boss, I would say that's something to be proud of

*Ruby said glancing at the giant, that's basically 2 and a half ruby's in size. Yatsu just smiled, and passed ruby her food, ruby was surprised. She didn't noticed that so much time has passed, she took her oatmeal with fruits on top, and started to eat it*

yatsuhashi: as you should be. But everytime I see you, your always looking at other people's success

Ruby: is it that surprising? I'm only a  living being. Is it such a crime to wonder what could've been?

*Ruby asked with a crooked smile and a shrug, yatsu just hummed, having an aura of an ancient monk around him, like master oogway*

Yatsuhashi: of course not, but if you let it wonder for too long, you'll miss the forest for the trees

Ruby: I see the trees just fine, if it wasn't illegal, I would mark my territory with them. But sometimes people like me, just like to wonder. Since you my very large friend, got to live your dream. I didn't

*Ruby said with a bit of a sad sigh, yatsuhashi could see this little pup was holding on to so much sadness, he placed his hand on top of her head, petting her, much to Ruby's enjoyment*

Yatsuhashi: you say that, but yet you've accomplished so much

Ruby: I know. But to stop this circular conversation now if you don't mind. I don't want my food to grow cold

*Ruby said with a small smile, signaling to her food. Yatsuhashi nodded as he released Ruby's head and gave a kind smile*

Yatsuhashi:of course little one. My apologies, please enjoy your meal.

Ruby: I will. But won't you join me? I enjoy you're presence

Yatsuhashi: well, I would love to

*Yatsuhashi said with a small smile, as he sat down and both just had pleasant conversation, this is just one of Ruby's powers, she can make even a stranger feel like a life long friend. That's how everyone in cafe rabbit came to care for her so much. But even if ruby was having a fascinating conversation with yatsuhashi, she couldn't help but keep her daughter at the back of her mind*

Ruby"penny, stay safe"

* Blake eyes widen, she was 2 seconds from the wendigo Grimm to rip off her jugular when penny pushed her out of the way, and stabbed the damned creatures in its head, unfortunately that only made the wendigo more angry and gave out a chilling scream that immobilized the humans fighting it, for a few seconds, penny turned off her ears, and slashed the sword up, slicing the beast's head in half. Penny stumbled back and took some calming ragged breathing. Blake being the first one to come back to normal, went to penny*

Blake: thanks.

Penny: don't mentioned it. Momma would be angry at me, if I didn't protect everyone, not matter my feelings towards them

*Penny said looking at Blake, Blake eyes widened and she even gasped a little, she knew she shouldn't be surprised, but she was seeing as Penny's skin was clawed off, Blake could see the robotic exoskeleton of Penny's face, mixed with the black oil that must be Penny's blood*

Penny:ok. Take a breath while you can. All of you. Since we're not done yet

Ironwood:she's right. Look

*Ironwood said, as they all looked, the wendigo's head was healing itself. Penny got up and self analyzed herself*

Penny:I'm working at 83% capacity. The damage is mostly cosmetic

Winter:the mostly is what worries me

*Winter said with concern, that was short lived when they all heard something chilling. They looked around and saw them, the wendigo yell? He was calling for backup*

Yang: well shit

Back to ruby

*She finished her breakfast, stayed and had some small talk with yatsuhashi for a bit longer, and now she was wheeling to her shop, while she listened to music, just following the routine of her day*

Ruby:hm. Maybe that's why I'm giving her another chance. Maybe I'm just bored with the monotony

*Ruby said to herself. Deciding to talk about that with her therapist on Monday. In the meantime, she just enjoyed the quiet of her consistency. It didn't take long for her to make it to work, just a 45 minute distance from the cafe. That went like that, she opened the door to her building, and wheeled inside, going to the back to start working. She grabbed a controller and hit play*

Radio:When the night has come

*Ruby heads her radio playing her playlist, and she went to work. Checking her list for what weapon she's gonna fix today*

Ruby:huh. Just a sword? And he doesn't want any modifications. Ok Mr. Arc whatever you say

*Ruby said to herself. As she grabbed the sword in question and inspected it. It was just a basic sword. So she did the same thing she does with basic weapons, polish it and sharpen it. But as always, his music got interrupted*

Ruby:I have appointments for a reason! God!

*Ruby complained, as she wheeled herself to the front, seeing an orange haired man with a top hat, and a girl with pink and brown hair*

Roman torchwick: ah, little red, how are you my precious little pup?
