Ruby:ok, let's begin.

Now

*Ruby and Blake looked around nervously, ruby took a sip of her tea, and licked her lips nervously*

Ruby:you...you obviously want to know, why I called you here...

Blake:I mean...c..can't it just be a nice visit? I would be more than happy if we just drank tea together

*Blake said with a nervous smile, taking a sip of her Oolong Tea. But ruby shook her head,*

Ruby:no. If we ignore the issue, nothing will get fixed, and I do want to fix this....do you?

Blake:o..of course I do! Y .yes. yes. I...I really want to fix this. To fix us, I...I want you back in my life

*Blake said, the desperation in her tone was evident. Ruby nodded, and took a bite of her peanut butter cookie*

Ruby: I'm....I'm not gonna say that I don't feel the same way, but it's hard for me. Surely you have to understand that

Blake:I do. I can't even imagine how hard it must be to be civil with me. If I were in your position, I would never want to see either

*Blake said with a small frown, feeling disgusted with herself. For the things she's done when she was younger, still something she struggled with at the age of 25. But ruby being the optimistic dog person, that she is, just gave her a small smile, to cheer Blake up a little*

Ruby: well, that's why you're a cat and I'm a dog. It's not that I don't want to see you. But you can't just pop into my shop, whenever you want.

*Ruby said, her smile disappeared, as she tried her best, to give a stern expression on her face*

Ruby:There...there needs to be... There IS gonna be some boundaries, if we are gonna continue to see, if we can fix this

Blake:ok. I...I can live with that. What do you have in mind

*Blake asked, still feeling nervous, but less so, now that she knows why ruby asked her to come by*

Ruby:well, my therapist recommended that we only see each other once a week. Friday, works best for me

Blake:once a week? I.. isn't that too little?

*Blake asked, there was a bit of fear behind her voice, she was selfish she knew that, but she wanted more than just 1 day*

Ruby:maybe. But.... And I'm not saying this to be mean

Blake:ruby, I know you would never say anything to be mean, your much too nice for that

*Blake said with a small smile, she wanted to place her hand on top of Ruby's for support, but she hesitated and didn't*

Ruby:ok, it's just that whenever you come around uninvited, it drains me emotionally. It takes me a few days, to get out of bed. Since all my brain can think about is...that night.

Blake:oh... I.... I understand that, but.... But I'm a cat as you said, I can be selfish. I...I know I have no room to ask about this but, can't I get more than just one day?

*Blake asked, she knew she was pushing her luck, but she had to try, she would regret it if she didn't. She started to regret it, when ruby started to look uncomfortable, as she thought about it*

Ruby:well...I... No. No you can't.

*Ruby Said, she almost buckled and let Blake push her into something she was not comfortable doing.  But she remained firm*

Ruby: At least not now, maybe some time in the future, you...you can have more than one day, but for now? One day is all I'm able to give you...I...I'm sorry.

Blake:ok. I knew it was a long shot, honestly I'm just happy you also want to work on this, on us. I...when I followed you to your gym, I wasn't entirely truthful

*Blake admitted, she took one of the fish shape cookies, and much to her surprise, it was fish flavored, not her favorite that being tuna, a much cheaper fish, but still it was the thought that counted, and Blake loved it*

Ruby:how so?

Blake:I...well the reason, I've always been popping up, in your shop unannounced, it was because well...I was scared. Because I AM scared, that you'll get sick of me, and want me to leave you alone

*Blake said looking a mix of worried and sad, ruby being braver than Blake, placed her hand on top of Blake's hand. Blake looked at ruby surprised, and ruby shot her a smile, it was small and nervous, but a smile just the same*

Ruby:I see. You don't have to worry about that, even having this conversation, took a lot out of me. But I still do want to at least try to have you in my life again. Even if... Even if I...I don't completely trust you

Blake:honestly, it's more than I deserve, ruby you are far too good for your own good

*Blake said with a small chuckle, and a forced smile, a forced smile that ruby could see a mile away, it made her falter a little, and let her Golden retriever side take over for a moment*

Ruby: You're sad. I can see that you're sad, because of what I said. And I want to hug you, and make you feel better. But I know I can't do that, since it's not the healthy way to do things, we can't just pretend like everything is ok, when it's not

Blake:ok, I understand. I don't like it, I'm not gonna lie. But I understand it, I'll give you, your space.

*Blake said, and it was time for Blake to be a little bold, as she moved her hand, and interlocked it with ruby, her hand felt so small compared to hers, so warm and gentle*

Blake: But please, don't force yourself to be nice to me, when you don't need to be, what I did to you, I...I still haven't forgiven myself for it. I don't expect you, to have forgiven me either.

Ruby:your right. I haven't.

*Ruby said honestly, feeling Blake's hand, it was warm, and much bigger than hers. But unlike her's, Blake's hand wasn't smooth, it had calluses in her hand, another jolt of jealousy filled ruby, but she ignored it, this wasn't the time for that. So she shot Blake with a small smile*

Ruby:But I'm not angry at you anymore Blake, I haven't been for a long time. I was scared when I first saw you again, I was annoyed when you kept popping up, unannounced, I...I was scared, when I kept smelling your scent, when I was alone.

Blake:s...sorry, those days...those days, I just didn't have the courage to talk to you, so I just....saw you from afar, I'll stop doing it.... I'll really try to stop doing it.

*Blake said honestly, she felt embarrassed that she was caught being a stacker, to be fair, she really did want to talk to her, but she chickened out, and just....followed her*

Ruby: at least you're honest about it. I...I guess that's it. We can finish the tea if you want. But after that, I'm gonna have to ask you to leave

Blake:thank you, oolong tea is really My favorite, I would hate to waste it and...

*Before Blake could continue, the door was opened hard, and in stepped in Ruby's pride and joy, her greatest creation, her daughter*

Penny:mama!!! I'm home!!

Blake:m...mama?!

*Blake yelled shocked, looking between the orange hair girl, who looked kinda familiar, and then at ruby, things were not adding up, even if ruby had her legs, this orange hair girl would still be taller than ruby, how the hell, is she her daughter.*

Ruby: welcome home baby girl. Come give your mama a hug

Penny: always!

* Penny said excitedly, she ran to her mother and hugged her tightly from behind, she even rubbed her cheek on Ruby's cheek much to the jealousy of blake. Her jealousy became worse when Ruby smiled, and let go of Blake's hand and places it on Penny's arm*

Blake:so uh...hi?

Penny:oh! We have guests! Hello! I'm penny ironwood rose! What's your name?

*Penny asked in a tone that reminded Blake so much, on how ruby used to act, and then. Blake made a mistake. She told penny her name*

Blake:ummm.... I'm Blake, Blake belladonna

Penny .........the same Blake Belladonna who betrayed my mother?

*Penny asked, her tone becoming more cold, as she slowly released her mother. Blake took a breath, seeing no point in lying, so she nodded*

Blake:um....yes. but .

*Blake didn't have time to respond, as she fell back in her seat, she looked up and saw penny on top of the table, 10 swords floating around her, red electricity coursing through the swords, and around Penny's body. Blake saw Penny's eyes, once green eye change to bright red, she looked like a....robot*

Blake"did she seriously build yourself a robot daughter?!"

Penny:exterminate!!

*Penny yelled, as the swords all pointed at Blake. The swords fell, and penny fell on her butt, when ruby pulled her back, penny groaned and then winced, when ruby kept hitting her with a rolled up newspaper*

Ruby:you scratched the table! That was pure mahogany wood, antic from the Victorian era! How many times have I told you, not to stand on the table?! This is why we can't have nice things!

Penny: I'm sorry mama! Please stop! I'm sorry!!

*Penny said protecting her head with her hands, she went from acting like the 1rst movie terminator, back to a bubbly child, getting punished. Blake slowly got up, and looked just so confused*

Blake:uh....I'm....I'm gonna need some context here

Penny:what you need is to leave. Ow!

*Penny yelped since she didn't protect her head, since she pointed at Blake when she said that. Ruby sighed, and looked at Blake*

Ruby:Blake, meet my daughter and Atlas's superweapon. Penny ironwood rose, I created her 4 years back. A fully self aware artificial intelligence. Penny, meet my.... acquaintance Blake belladonna. Now be nice, and remember your manners

Penny:but mama!

*Penny whined, ruby shot her a look that made penny nervous, she grumbled something and got up, she gave Blake a little bow*

Penny:welcome to our home. Please enjoy your stay.

*Penny said through gritted teeth. Blake just sat down, with penny sitting down next to ruby. Shooting Blake a glare*

Blake:you....you actually built a self aware robot?

Ruby: artificial intelligence. And yes, Blake I built a thermonuclear bomb, when I was 14, you think I couldn't build an artificial intelligence?

*Ruby asked with a raised eyebrow, she took a sip of her tea more than a little smugly, since if there was one thing she can be proud of, is that she was a generational intelligence*

Blake:....so you can build an... Artificial intelligence

Ruby:penny.

*Ruby corrected Blake, Blake flinched a little and nodded, taking another fish cookie, and eating it*

Blake:right, uh, sorry. So you can built penny, but you can't build yourself a pair of legs?

Penny:hey! Mama doesn't need a pair of legs! She's perfect just the way that she is!

*Penny said angrily, she hates it when people look down at her mother, just because she didn't have some legs, and so what? Her mother was still the greatest mother ever. Ruby gave penny a small smile and then looked at Blake*

Ruby:thank you darling. And Blake, to answer your question, I told you before, building something like penny is easy, she's completely machine. Adding a pair of legs to me, a creature of meat, bones, nerves, veins, and organs? a pair of legs that would work, like a normal pair of humans legs, would be far too painful for my body to withstand.

*Ruby took out a journal and opened it up to a certain page, she gave it to Blake who read it, or well she looked at the picture, she couldn't understand Ruby's writing, she clearly writes with an encrypted code, so that no one can steal her designs and ideas. But she understood the small drawing of the robot legs, and then hooked up to her spinal cord with a wire*

Ruby:Since again, my best option, for full 100% mobility, would be to inject a wire that's connected to the robot legs right on my spinal cord. Tested it out on a few Rottens, as soon as the drugs ran out, they all screamed in pain. Since well, they had a piece of metal that would heat up, hooked up to their spines. I made peace with my wheelchair, and the occasional prosthetic wooden legs. But that's about it.

*After Ruby's little lecture, they just stood there drinking tea, until the kettle was done. After that, Blake left much to Penny's enjoyment*
