Dex's POV

As soon as I went into the trees a deep pang of regret stabbed me. I wished I could stay. Talk to my dad, but I knew that was impossible. Besides I needed to free my friends. I reached Charlotte first and she hissed about how uncomfortable it was. I then got to Lily, who seemed happy to see me. I knew as well as any werecat that silver drained our powers, only it was different for me.

"So what's our next move?" Charlotte questioned me, obviously upset about the defeat.

"I'm not sure. Yet." I added when they both cast gazes of uncertainty at me.

"Well I'll follow you into battle and fight to the bitter-sweet end for you Dex." Lily said. I smiled, her support meant a lot to me. 

"Well I think we should attack now, while their weak." Charlotte mumbled.

"There are three of us. There are eight of them. Nine if you count my dad. And I would he shot Natt." I said.

"Wait Natt is dead?" Lily whispered, and shook her head with sadness. I realized how deadly these missions were getting. Three out of six of us died this time. How many would be next?

Quit feeling sorry for yourself!  A familiar voice rang in my ear.

Nick? Is that you? Why have you been so silent? I asked him frantically.

Yes, its me! I have better things to do than babysit you! Besides you were making wise choices. He retorted.

Was that a compliment?

No mouse-brain. I'm here now so it means your doing a terrible job. You have a serious problem with those Order guys. 

You try to stop them then.

I will stop them. You need to stop acting like a kitten and start acting like a werecat. You have the most deadly poison in your own teeth. 

The werecat virus? That only changes people into werecats.

Only those strong enough, which is very few. Most of your Pride was born as a werecat, and will stay a werecat until they die. However most humans can't stand the DNA change. Especially if they're injured by the werecat.

Why did I survive? I wasn't the strong human before, and Charlotte did quite a number on me.

You never really changed DNA. You had Alpha blood and Charlotte's bight just woke it up. 

So if someone bit Mae...

She would turn into a werecat.

How will that help me?

If Mae goes werecat, then everything she ever believed in is proven wrong. Then she will not be a threat any longer. She might even join the Pride.

That would be amazing.

Then do it.

Nick faded after that. I tried to reach him but he clearly didn't want to be reached. I snapped back to reality and noticed both Lily and Charlotte staring at me.

"What?" I asked, afraid of what I'd said.

"You were talking to Nick again. Right?" Lily pressed.

"How did you know?" I asked.

"You were muttering stuff like a madman and staring off into space. Also you weren't answering our questions." 

"Oh. Sorry about that."

"Don't be. Most of us aren't that close to our cats." Charlotte said.

"I'm not exactly close to Nick. He is just... there." I said.

"Well from the look in your eye, he told you something you really liked. Well come on and tell us." Charlotte pressed. I wasn't sure if I should tell her or not but finally I did.

"Nick suggested that we change the members of the Order into werecats, so they see they were wrong and werecats aren't monsters. Or at least Mae, she has Alpha blood so it couldn't be to hard. That way they would turn to our side." I said.

"That's brilliant!" Lily said. Charlotte nodded her head, so she liked Nick's idea too. I whispered a tiny thanks to him and then continued to look at my friends. 

"So how do we do it?" Charlotte asked.

"Easy. We cause a problem, that the Order needs to fix. They come running to the rescue, see only one or two of us. Try to stop them. The rest of us will jump them, and only bite them. We can't risk hurting them farther. Then all our problems will be solved." I said.

"This is a great plan." Lily said, face shinning with happiness.

"When will it take place?" Charlotte asked.

"In three days." I said. Then silently I thought, Mae you and your Order better be ready because my werecats sure are. In three days you'll see what side you really want to be on.

Mae's POV

I was in a forest I've never seen before, yet I knew every tree by heart. I walked along a well walked trail that I'd walked a thousand times, yet I couldn't remember one time before now I'd been in this strange, yet beautiful forest. So I instantly knew I was dreaming.

I was at a little stream that looked vaguely familiar,then I realized why. It was real. I mean not here, but back in my forest. Suddenly the water turned red and the trees lost their leaves and turned black as a raven's wing. The sky became dark, and I was afraid.

My feet stayed planted on the ground, to frightened to move, or the dream was holding me in place. There was only one spot that was untouched by the rest or the dream. Suddenly I was freed from my paralyzed state. I sprinted towards the spot but soon realized there was someone else there. 

It's sleek brown fur and slender cat body, I immediately recognized Dex. I braced myself for his attack, but it never came. Instead the werecat just turned to meet my gaze and I realized, it wasn't Dex I was looking at. It had a smaller build than his. There was something that threw me off though. It's eyes. They seemed so familiar. Then I realized it. They were mine.

"Hello Mae it's nice to finally meet you." It said, it's voice sickly sweet.

"Who-who are you?" I stuttered. For some reason looking at yourself in werecat form threw you off, especially when you weren't a werecat.

"I'm Lana." She said with a purr.

"Hi Lana. Why are you haunting my dreams?" I questioned.

"You know jut are well as I do. I'm sick ad tired of being ignored, look were it's gotten us! We should be leading the pride of werecats with Dex as our Beta. Only you find it funny to ignore me." She said with a huff.

"You deserved it. Your evil." I said, harshly.

"There is no good or evil. Just those strong enough to survive, and those not." She said as if she was repeating it for the thousandth time.

"That's not true. The Order is good, werecats are evil. I mean look what Dex did earlier. He murdered someone! If he wasn't a werecat he wouldn't have done it." I accused.

"Look what you did earlier. You murdered three perfectly good werecats, only following their masters commands just to satisfy your little Order." She pointed out.

"They were going to kill us." I said with a sigh.

"No they were not! My brother has a plan and I'm sure it wasn't to kill you." She said with a hiss.

"Excuse me? Your brother?"

"Not your pathetic Dex. Nick is my brother. Remember when you attacked the Pride? Ya, he was talking to me, not you."

"So your like my Nick? The cat who tells me what to do, even when I don't want to."

"Kind of. Once you get bitten I'll be much stronger. Right now I can only walking in your dreams." She said, almost sadly.

"Once I get bitten? I don't think that will ever happen. Besides I'd be too torn to shreds to survive." I said.

"Not if you have alpha blood." She said, then she vanished. With a shock I realized I had Alpha blood. That meant with one little bite it'd all be over.

"You will never claim me! I will always be a member of the Order! No cat can ever change that!" I shouted.

"Change what?" A new voice interrupted. I blinked the sleep from my eyes to see I was laying on the ground at my dad's house. Kyra was next to me and looked at me with a curious gaze, "I said, Change what?" She repeated.

"Sorry it was just a silly dream." I mumbled.

"It didn't sound like it. You kept say the name Lana, and moaning. Then you shouted 'You can never change that!' like a crazy woman." Kyra said.

"I'm not sure who Lana i, and sorry for moaning and as I said before, it was just a dream." I said. Kyra then got up and muttered something under her breath, not meeting my gaze.

I laid in bead for a while, just to be there. The bed was warm, but Lana's words still chilled me to the bone. Was she right? She sounded as if she knew what was going to happen, even though nobody did. Then the door bell rang. 

I then forced myself to get up and I ran to the front door and opened it. There stood someone I thought I'd never see again, or at least not for a while. There was Dex. He noticed my shocked expression then looked at me skeptically.

"Can I come in?" He asked, as if I was denying him a right. How do you respond to a killing machine asking to enter your house like it was for afternoon tea.

"Do you really want me it answer that?" I muttered.

"Don't get so flattered. I'm not here to see you. Where is our Dad?" He asked, going straight to the point.

"At work." I muttered.

"Well that's unfortunant. See you later then." Dex said, and turned around to leave, then he stopped, "Tell him I said hi." he added.

"Mae who the hell is at the door?" I heard Kyra yell. Then she appeared at the door to see for herself, "You..." She mumbled.

"Sup, Kyra. Just stopping for a little hat, with my Dad. Nothing to totally flip out about." Dex said. When he said Kyra uncertain face he added, "Just because I'm a werecat it doesn't mean I don't care about family too." With that he stalked off into the woods.

  I stifled a sigh. I sensed Kyra did the same. She went back to the kitchen to make us a hardy and healthy breakfast that honestly tasted like shit. I glanced at the clock and saw it was 7:30. I could already tell it was going to be a busy morning. With that final thought I went to the kitchen to eat some real breakfast.

So dun Dun DUN!!!!!!!!!!!!! A little recap, Dex is plotting to bite the members of the Order and Mae is struggling to keep her Alpha blood from turning her into a werecat. Or is she already one? I don't know and I'm not really sure what you guys think so why don't you post it. Also DEx dropped by for a unexpected visit... can I say awkward! Also what might it mean?
