Street Corner
The rain poured onto my body making a faint sound. I waited at the bus station. I scanned the area nervously, she could be anywhere.
The street lights flickered for a second. I felt the feeling as if I was being watched. If I got up and walked home she may find me easier, however I guess if I stay still it won't help me hide from her.
I listened carefully for footsteps of that old wrinkly witch. She could be anywhere. I didn't hear her, just the sound of the rain pattering on the concrete floor.
The feeling of her eyes watching me were digging deeper into my body. I felt the stare from a mile away. Then from the distance I heard a laugh.
Then the laugh changed tune and became a chant.
"Honey I miss you! Where are you? You're late for our wedding!"
I looked at the darkness of the streets. I saw a frail body emerge from the shadows. Her old hands were holding a unlit candle. She held it close to her face.
I climbed out of my seat and began to jog away. I heard her giggle behind me. I heard footsteps being pressed hard on the pavement.
The footsteps weren't mine, they were hers. I took a glance behind me and saw her running up behind me.
She must have been supernatural, no one could run that fast at her age. I hoped she would slip on the watery floor but, she never did.
I turned the corner and sprinted to someone's house. I ran up this one large yellow painted house and banged on the door. No one answered.
I turned around she was at the steps of the house. Her white hair was in tangles and her red eyes pierced my heart.
She slowly approached me. She had no weapon on her but, she was not human when it came to strength.
She smiled at me and her old wrinkly skin folded up wards as she did so. She held out her arms wide expecting a hug.
I shook my head and banged on the door again. She put her finger to her mouth and made a shushing noise.
She now was on the steps. Her mouth now dropped down. Her sharp nails were out ready to claw out my eyes.
"Honey will you marry me?"
"No!"
She hated that word and her eyes went wide and she charged up the stairs.
Soon she was in the porch staring straight at me. I could smell the rotting flesh coming from her mouth from there.
Out of no where she pushed me against the wall. She kissed me and shoved her claws in my hair.
Normally kisses are sweet and gentle but, not hers. She was fighting me and biting my lip. Her saliva tasted like saw dust and a unknown flavor of something unthinkable.
A sharp pain came across my chest. I felt something begin to pour out of it. I placed my hand on the spot in the middle of my chest. It was wet.
I also felt her other hand. I also felt her claws dig deeper into my chest like it was a gold mine.
I started to feel faint. I was still in locked lips with her when my vision started to darken. I fighter to stay away.
I used all my strength to push her down the stairs but, she just shoved me back onto the door.
My eyes became week. I started to lose consciousness.
"We will be married soon dear. I forgive you for being late...after all that's what love is."
