That evening, she was drawing again.

"You have a lot of talent." Thorin commented, sitting beside her.

"No I don't."

"Of course you do. You can draw really well, your cooking is amazing,  and you can translate anything."

She didn't reply because she didn't think she was that good.

"Come on, let's test your sword skills."

"Ok."

They fought for a while until they deadlocked. Each was trying to disarm the other, and Thorin realized how close they were.

He kissed her passionately, and put his sword against the ground, point first.

She pulled back.

"King Thorin, why are you doing this?"

"I'm hoping you'll fall for me, or at least kiss me back." he mumbled against her lips.

She didn't reply.

She pulled away again, and said she was going for a walk, and probably going to bathe in the river as well. Turns out it was too cold.

Thorin thought that he should probably back off her a little bit.

She was thinking about her brother and father, Electro and Flame, and surprisingly, Thorin.

He had told her many times that he was too rash to rule alone, and seeing what he was really like versus what he acts like, she agreed.

But there were so many other girls in Erebor that would marry him in a heartbeat.

That was the problem, though.

He wanted whoever agreed to marry him to love him for who he really was. Not because of his looks, power, or money.

That's all she wanted too.

She finally decided to give it more time before she decided,9 because if he kissed her too many more times, she would fall for him... hard.

An hour after she went to bed, Thorin moved his roll over to beside hers, laid down beside her, slipping his arms around her waist and pulling her closer.

She was asleep, and stayed that way.

A few hours later, he was too.

The next morning, she was up and making breakfast when he woke up.

"Bacon again?" he asked.

"No, not at all." she replied sarcastically.

"Hey, what's with all the sarcasm?"

"I am in a sarcastic mood."

"There's no hurry, right?"

"No, why?"

"Then why don't we have some fun today?"

"Like what?"

"Well... there is plenty of snow around."

As he said that, he made a snowball and threw it at her. It hit her stomach.

"You're going to pay for that!"

She jumped up, and began pelting him, and he was doing the same to her.

Their snowball fight lasted until lunch.

"Well that was fun." Thorin commented,  grinning.

"Surprisingly,  yes, it was." she replied.

A few days later, they were back in Erebor... or at least close.

"Before we let everyone know that we're back, I want to show you something. Something that technically belongs to you. And there is also something else."

"Ok?" she replied.

"You'll see."

He led her to a cabin deep in the woods.

"How is this mine?" she asked, wandering around between the many rooms.

"Just keep looking."

She wandered into the upstairs bedroom, and found a document.

"Flair left me this? Why wasn't I told of this before?"

"Because I didn't find it till the day we left. I thought it would be a nice surprise for they day we got back."

Sparkle found an arrow hanging on the wall.

"What's this?"

"When I was four, my grandfather asked me to craft him an arrow,  so he could give it to one of his soldiers who was also a friend. This soldier had a daugher who saw me, at my young age, as a role model. This soldier said his daughter knew how to make arrows as well, so they made a trade." (for a more descriptive story, see The Reject)

"So who's house was it before Smaug? Before it was Flair's?"

"Her parents. Flair was the girl. I have the matching one. The day before she was killed, she became like a little sister to me. I take it with me everywhere."

He pulled a box out containing the arrow Flair made when she was two.
