Chapter 9
=============
{Narrator's POV|{Before Shoto got to Mashirao}
=============
The ice dome was thick, it was freezing inside too.
"Damn it all to hell!" Sachi's teeth chattered. His sword clanging against the ground, "How is this guy so powerful?!" it amazed him, such power that could rival everyone else's, it was insane.
"I'm not done! You hear me!" The teen shouted, "Oijro! Do you copy?" but all he heard was static.
"Sachi!!" the call alerted him, "Hagakure, where are you?!" Sachi's breath came out in big puffs of frosty mist as he banged his shaking hands on the ice wall.
"I'm outside, Todoroki froze me to the ground and I can't move--But Oijro is in trouble!" she continued to struggled against the crystal formation encasing her legs but it was to no use. Sachi gritted his teeth, he could barely move and his knuckles were beginning to bleed from punching the dome.
"This is complete and utter shit..." Sachi let his eyes flicker around the small room he had left, his sword catching his attention immediately. Narrowing his eyes, he grabbed ahold of the worn down handle.
"I don't know if this is going to work..." Sachi muttered as he slashed at the ice. But it didn't crack or disappear.
He clicked his tongue, his arms were weak from the cold and his short cloak didn't provide him with any warmth whatsoever. He bit his tongue, using every last bit of strength he let out a broken battle cry as he slashed at the ice again. This was frustrating!
Fighting someone who had everything while he had nothing!
Being blessed with two quirks. Being blessed with a healthy family--having parents even if they were shit, Sachi didn't have any of that. He didn't have parents--he didn't have any kind of power.
His sword fell out of his trembling hands, his hand pointed to the ground as his nose crinkled from the sting of the hot tears prickling his bright violet eyes.
"Is this my punishment for trying?" he mumbled.
The ice broke away from the wall, letting a hot stream of air warm his body.
"Heroes Win!" All Might's voice made him flinch.
His lips kissed his teeth as his shoulders softly shook. Toru's sad sniffles and the pout that she expressed with her gloved hands made it all to clear.
They had failed.
--------
"The difference in our power is just too great." Shoto brushed past the two gawking teens, Mashirao scoffed and turned away from Mezo who looked at the ground in a mold of guilt. A warm breeze flooded the room making the two glance at the half n/ half boy who had his left hand on the wall, defrosting the building at a tremendous pace.
"Difference my ass..." Mashirao cursed softly.
"That's not the words of a happy camper!" Sachi's sudden comment from his ear piece made the blonde jump with a startled gasp.
"S-Sa..Sachi?! Are you okay? Is Hagakure okay too?" he asked.
"We're fine," Sachi chuckled. The hazelnut haired teen wore a look of disdain as he glanced over at the invisible girl who was crouching on the ground outside of the building. A glare shooting towards the half n' half boy who exited the building.
"Yeah. Just Peachy." Mashirao sighed in relief, his eyes closing from the stress of the battle.
"You wouldn't believe it, both of them ganged up on me!" Mashirao scoffed with a playful nervous laugh as he made his way out of the building.
"..." Sachi didn't respond making Mashirao look up to see his teammates in front of him. Sachi's eyes teary as Hagakure sniffled, choking back a sob.
"Yeah," Sachi responded with a smile. His eyes screwing shut while he patted the blonde on the back.
"Let's get back, shall we?" Sachi voiced. Mashirao hummed sweat tricking down the back of his neck.
He looked so, so frustrated. Like his victory was torn from him. Mashirao could feel the violet-eyed teen's hand tremble as it stayed on his back, his body was freezing.
What exactly did Shoto do? He wanted to press further but the look on his face and the soft sobs escaping from Toru made him freeze in his tracks.
It was better not to cause them even more pain.
This was what villains are supposed to do.
To Lose all Hope.
==================
The battles pulled through seemingly easily, some heroes won while other villains won in their matches. Sachi hadn't moved from his spot, not even once. Although the concessional slight flinch every time that All Might announced the winner as a Hero.
This is bullshit.
Sachi left the room early to change into his school clothes, a glare settled on his costume. The sun was beginning to set as the hazelnut-haired teen sat outside, crouching by the gate. He had been waiting for Haruhi's classes to end.
"Kacchan! Wait!" startled by the sudden shout behind him, he peeked over his shoulder past the gate to see the two childhood friends.
Midoriya?
"Kacchan--I know that you're angry with me! I can understand that--but this power...I can't tell you how, but I'm going to make this borrowed quirk mine!" Izuku shouts, his uninjured hand clenched into a fist as he hits his chest. "Kacchan I--" he was interrupted.
"A Borrowed quirk?!" Katsuki scoffed, his expression showed one of disbelief and forced anger mixed with sadness.
"You really expect me to believe that you borrowed someone's quirk? That's gold! You're asking me to believe the guy that chased after me since we were kids! Bullshit!" Katsuki exclaimed, exasperated, "Listen here, Deku, I don't care what you say about that so-called borrowed power! You won this time but I swear," Katsuki looked up at the green-haired teen tears welding up in his eyes.
"I will beat you and become number one! Same goes to that other quirk-less loser too!" Sachi flinched.
Quirk-less. Meaningless, Deku, it's all the same. Sachi's teeth gritted as he buried his face in his knees. His muscular arms wrapping around his head.
"After you won, I watched that half n' half bastard and Sachi battle, and I thought to myself...How am I going to beat his guy?" Katsuki scoffed and wiped his eyes angrily.
Suddenly, All Might appeared out of thin air.
"Young Bakugou! Please let's not have any violence--" His large hand that clasped around Katsuki's shoulder was grabbed with force, ruby hues met fearful shadowed azure orbs.
"Let go, All Might." Katsuki threatened the teacher with a small explosion that cracked in his palm. All Might began to sweat nervously as he let go of the shorter teen.
"Young Midoriya," All Might spoke once Katsuki was out of sight.
"Why did you tell him that? That your power is borrowed." All Might glared down at Izuku's shaking form but that soon stood confidently.
"I didn't tell him that it was you who gave me this power, but that I am going to make it mine. He needed an explanation, and I gave him one."
Sachi felt his eyes widen in shock.
"This can't be happening..." he mumbled. He sat up off of the ground.
"Midoriya has All Might's power? This doesn't make any sense---" Sachi froze.
That's why his throw was so similar in power, when he threw that ball in Quirk test. Sachi frowned deeply his thought ran faster than he could apprehend.
Midoriya...
Sachi glared at the sky, the deathly stare made the air around him feel cold.
I'll be better than you, than Bakugou and Todoroki--that way, I can beat All Might with all of my power!
