Ek Din Aap Yun Humko Mil Jayenge
Phool Hi Phool Raahon Mein Khil Jayenge
Maine Socha Na Tha
Ek Din Zindagi Itni Hogi Haseen
Jhoomega Aasman Gayegi Yeh Zameen
Maine Socha Na Tha

"Rohan yaar why don't you understand?" Mushk huffed as she raised her hands in defeat.

"Why do you even want to make me understand, my opinions clearly don't matter, so why the efforts Mushk?" Rohan replied nonchalantly, his eyes training on her posture but he quickly turned them towards his laptop again. He can't just let her have everything she wants. Especially when it means no good to her.

While Mushk was now frustrated, he was acting like a hormonal lady on periods, not even listening to her.

"Shut this damn laptop, will you? And talk to me." She walked as she slammed the laptop shut and Rohan's angry eyes found hers, brown against brown again. One filled with anger and one with challenges. They together were a unique combination, like fire and ice. Burning but the calm in them reserved, for the love they had for each other.

"Talk! Okay, let's talk you got an offer letter from a stared university in London to complete your residency. Which you never told me about which is my first foremost problem. And second, you want that opportunity to be wasted now because you are married. Wow, amazing Mushk, is aqalmandi ki umeed Sirf apse ki ja sakti hai."

(One could only expect this kind of intelligence from you)

He replied sarcastically while eyeing her angrily. But Seeing her defeated self he couldn't control himself anymore, and he walked towards her. His thumb erased the remains of tears that were welling in her eyes, while she just looked at him hoping he would understand where she was coming from.

"It was your dream remember? How you used to brag about it. So why now Mushk?" He asked softly as he held her hands gently, the warmth of their hands together calming her heart.

"You won't understand Rohan," she replied dejectedly as she sat on the edge of the bed, while he sat on the floor holding her hands again.

"So make me understand Mushk." His tone surprised her, as he gently applied pressure to her hand. Maybe telling her that he was here.

"Rohan our relationship is very new, just two months ago everything between us sorted. We are finally together and incorporating long distance into this. No Rohan it is just going to make things so much worse. Phir log, society kya kaheinge, Abhi Shaadi ko ek saal hwua nahi ke bahir parhne chali gayi. That I can do it right here as well. And forget about everything that about our families, Aunty and Ammi were talking about grandchildren that day, they want us to start a family and before this, I am planning to bring 4 years in between god socho toh Sahi....."
(and what will society say, that it has only been 1 year to their marriage and she went abroad to study)

"Ohh bhai hogaya meri over thinking ki dukaan." He chuckled while she glared at him.
(Oh my are you done my overthinking shop)

"You thought about everyone, what about you?" He questioned.

While she looked at him confused, the ramblings she was doing for the last 5 minutes what was that then. Ajeeb Ek tu yeh sunta nahi hai."
(oh this man don't listen to me)

"Okay let me repeat all that I said again and now listen carefully." She was beginning to explain again while he just glared at her.

"Oh, madam ap ka lecture main sun chuka hoon." While she glared at him, buhat beazzati horahi hai. While he just chuckled at her expressions.
(madam I have listened to your lecture)
(now this is some next level sarcasm)

"You talked about everyone, me, our relationship, our families, society, but what about you? You want to go or not?" He questioned and she knew she was in trouble. This question, this only question was the problem.

Every point she debated about, made sense. This was very far-fetched and it was very tough and leaving it was a very good option. The cons weighed much more and all the logic made sense to her rational self. But that some part inside her, that was a dreamer, that cherished dreams that her young self had once woven once. The dreams that she knew maybe would just remain dreams. Untrue and out of our reach. But dreams never care about that. They never did and they never would.

And this man in front of her, resided in her heart, at a position so sacred that she could never switch him away from that. For him, her heart would always be so apparent, the secrets that her eyes could hide would always be known to him. He knew her like the back of his hand. And this truth would always cause her to shudder because she can never lie to him, he would see in her eyes, and boom, he would know everything.

"You want to go, don't you?" His question dragged her out of her thoughts and she just nodded. She could never lie and she knew that. And Rohan smiled at the woman in front of him, innocent, and his in all senses. She would try appearing very mature and calculating but he knew underneath everything, she was a free bird. A bird that needs a sky to fly to spread her wings. And he would never cut those wings, and he won't let anyone else do that as well.

"So then go Mushk, dreams they are very precious. You are getting that prospect, use it. Society doesn't matter, they often have something to say. And you know our families they will understand. And us Mushk, we always manage. Long-distance waghiara would never erase what I feel for you, the love we had, the relationship we cherished. It isn't this brittle that it won't be able to survive some years of separation. No matter where you are, no matter where I am, this heart right here would always be yours. Pakka promise yaar."

The ending sentence caused her to laugh, trust him to solve all her plights in a second.

"Aur agar tumne doosri shaadi karli tu," and he looked at her shocked but the mischief dancing in her eyes cleared everything to him, and he stood up to sit beside her on bed, lowering on the bed as he kept his head on the pillow.
(and what if you marry again?)

"Yeh jo bodyguards haina, Jo actually main meri family hai karne hi na dein mujhe doosri shaadi," he sighed dramatically while a pillow was angled towards him.
(You have placed guards around me, who are in reality, my family, they won't even let me think about it.)

Mushk stood up from the bed, her hands on her waist as she glared at the man in question who was now laughing uncontrollably.

"Yeh na hote tu karlete Shaadi Rohan khauf hai koi," she exclaimed loudly, picking another pillow to hit him with when he suddenly grabbed her arms and pulled her towards him. The impact caused her to fall on him unexpectedly, and she looked at him shocked while his hand locked around her waist locking their position.
(So you mean if they were not here you would have married uff Rohan)

Mushk could swear no matter how much time passes by, no matter who many years down the lane, this proximity, this touch on her skin would always feel new, a newborn touch. It will cause her heart to tingle, the blood rush in her arteries to fasten, and the butterflies in her stomach to go wild, so wild that all her senses will always be plagued. Always and forever.

"You know what actually yeh jo meri biwi hai na buhat hi dramatic hai, emotional hai, aur biryani se zyada kesi se pyaar nahi karti aur Mujhe tang tu buhat hi karti hai.." and she lightly hit his shoulder with her free hand, the joke in his voice could easily be sensed.

(You know my wife is quite dramatic, very emotional, and loves biryani like no one else and irritates me a lot...)

"But like you know I actually love her a lot and by a lot, I mean very much, so I would never find this piece in my life again so second marriage. Not a chance." and she smiled at his words, they always comforted her.

"So madam go, rest assured no matter how much time you take you always find me waiting for you."
His promise wasn't needed but the assurance would always be her solace.

And she hugged his that position. With her lying on top of him, and they laid in that position.

"London and Pakistan have a time difference, and even though we have our work but nothing, nothing would even be as remotely important as you are to me. Everything else takes back seat the moment you come in that picture so no matter what the problem is. No matter what is bothering you I am always there. You tell me everything. Pakka promise?"

And he smiled at her, as his arms tightened around her, his face buried in her hairs the scent making him go crazy. As it always did. And he whispered.

"Pakka promise."
