Chapter 15
I woke up the next day and saw that Optimus was already up. I got up too and went to the training room. There, I found my daughter and my old pal, Drift. He saw me and smiled.
"Hey, Blue. Long time no see," he greeted as he put his weapons away and came over.
"Hey, Drift. Good to see you again," I said as I gave him a hug.
"What's up?" I asked him as Quarre came over as well.
"Well, the Decepticons destroyed one of our ships," he said seriously.
Oh no. If it was one of the teams that were searching for the Cyber Planet Keys...Optimus will probably want to know about this.
"Scrap, that's not good. Any other news?" I asked.
He shook his head.
"Alright, well let's go to the main room. We can catch up some more there. I assume you've met Quarre?" I asked as we started walking.
They both smiled and nodded. When we got to the main room, we sat on the couch for a bit and talked. Star came in after a few minutes, out of breath.
"Blue, has Bolt ran through here? I tried to chase him but now I can't find him," she asked, making me chuckle.
"I haven't seen him. Did you try your room?" I asked.
"No, I'll go check there, thanks," she said before walking off.
I smiled and shook my head. I then noticed Optimus trying to sneak by us, but failing epicly. I rolled my optics playfully as I stood up. I snuck behind him and jumped on his back.
"Morning babe," I greeted, giving him a kiss on the cheek.
"Morning," he greeted back, giving a small smile.
"Did you sleep well?" he asked.
"Aside from one interesting dream I had, for the most part I did. What about you?" I asked him.
"I slept fine," he replied.
He smiled as he carried me over to the couch again. He dropped me by our daughter and playfully sat on me.
"So Drift, any news?" he asked.
Bumper, I thought with a smile.
I looked over at Quarre, who was trying not to laugh. I smirked and made a pushing gesture with my hands. She nodded with a smile, understanding my idea. After Drift told him about our ship that was destroyed by the Cons, I counted down from three silently. Then, Quarre and I shoved Optimus onto the floor. We both burst out laughing, along with Drift.
"Is it normal to wake up to this?" Delirium asked as he came out.
"Depends on the day," Optimus said as he got up.
"Where were you yesterday? You missed the battle," he asked as he went behind the couch and dumped us off.
He smiled and quickly got on the couch, taking up all the room. I smirked and jumped on top of him Quarre followed my lead and we both tried to shove him off. Drift just stood up and sat in the armchair, smiling. Optimus sat up and held me on his lap while Quarre sat by us.
"Well, that's hard to explain. You should go talk to Ratchet. He can explain it better than I can right now," Delirium said.
"He lost his memory," I stated simply.
Out of seemingly nowhere, Bolt ran in, followed by Cascade. She tackled him to the ground and snatched the stuffed T-Rex away from him.
"What is wrong with you?! Don't you know not to take anybot's toys!?" she yelled at him.
He ignored her and wiggled free before crawling under the couch. I smiled, recognizing the stuffed animal that Cass was so protective of.
Aw, she misses him a lot.
"Don't worry, I am sure Ratchet can help you remember," Optimus told Delirium.
"Yeah, I sure hope so. Who are you anyway?" he asked.
"I am Optimus Prime," my sparkmate replied.
I looked down and saw Bolt crawl out. I smiled and rolled my optics.
That child is weird.
Suddenly, I got this feeling that there was somebot outside. I stood up and walked outside to find Sentinel.
What's he doing here!?
I crossed my arms and glared.
"What are you doing here?" I asked angrily.
"What? I can't see my beautiful darling again?" he asked with a smirk.
"How many times have I told you? We're done! I'm not your darling anymore," I told him, forcing myself not to shoot him.
"Oh come on. You know you still love me," he said.
"No, I don't! I love Optimus," I mentioned.
As much as I hated it, I knew deep down that there was a very small part of me that still did love him.
"So that's how it is then?" another bot asked.
It was then that I noticed a red and green bot standing next to Sentinel.
"Who are you?" I asked.
He had the same colors as Orion, but I knew it wasn't him. Oddly, I still felt a connection with him, though.
"You don't even remember me?" he asked.
"How could I? I never even met you," I told him.
"This is Junior. You left before I could tell you that we got a son," Sentinel said.
I gasped. I couldn't believe that I had another son, let alone with Sentinel.
If I would've known, things probably would've turned out way different.
I sighed. The kids then ran out, yelling and screaming. Quarre followed behind them. The kids stopped beside me and stared up at Sentinel.
"Who are you?" Cascade asked.
"No bot important. Now run along back inside," I told them.
The only one who listened was Remix. Cascade walked up to Junior and kicked him in the shin. He just stared at her, completely unfazed.
"Thief," she said before walking inside.
Bolt copied her by walking up to Sentinel and kicking him in the shin. He laughed then went back inside. Quarre stayed by me, though.
"Are we going to have to sleep out here?" Sentinel asked, completely ignoring Bolt's action.
I wanted to say yes and leave, but something kept me from doing so.
"Fine. Come on, we have plenty of rooms. Just don't bother any bot," I warned as I led them inside.
I gave them a small tour, but avoided the training room since Optimus was probably there. After I showed them their rooms, I went to find Optimus. I looked where I thought he was, but he wasn't there. I looked around the base, but couldn't find my sparkmate anywhere.
Uh oh. I hope he didn't run off.
"Optimus, come in," I tried calling him over the com, but no answer.
Scrap, I hope he's not in trouble.
I was hesitant to leave Sentinel because I didn't want him getting in trouble. I walked outside and transformed.
"Hey, Star. There are two new bots at base. The younger one is Junior and the older one is Sentinel. Could you keep an optic on Sentinel for me? Optimus ran off, so I'm going to find him," I said over the com as I drove off.
I drove to both our special spots, but he wasn't at either. I was a little surprised that he wasn't at the hill where Orion was. I decided to go into town. I drove around for a bit, but I couldn't find him. I sighed and went into an alley. I transformed into my holoform. It was the first time I used it.
I had long blue hair with green highlights. I was wearing a light blue tank top and short green shorts. I had blue sneakers on as well.
Not bad, I thought with a small smile.
As I walked, I saw some guy drag a young girl into an abandoned building. Listening to my Autobot instinct, I followed them.
"Hey! Let her go!" I said.
The guy turned to me and slowly started coming closer. I glanced at the girl and saw that she was frightened. I then realized I didn't have a weapon, but the guy had a knife.
"Make me," he taunted.
As soon as he got close enough, I grabbed his wrist. However, he took out another pocket knife. I noticed and tried to dodge, but he managed to cut the side of my cheek. I winced slightly at the pain. I looked around and saw a lead pipe. I quickly grabbed it and blocked the guy's attack. I then took the offensive and hit him hard in the head. He collapsed to the ground, unconscious. I dropped the pipe and walked over to the girl.
"You okay?" I asked her and she nodded.
"Good, let's get out of here before he wakes up," I told her as I offered her my hand.
She gratefully took it and we walked outside together.
"Thank you so much," she said.
"No problem," I told her.
"I'm Izabella," she introduced herself.
"Is your dad William Lennox?" I asked curiously.
"Yeah...how'd you know?" she asked.
I stopped and turned to her with a smile.
"I'm BlueStreak," I told her.
After a moment, her face brightened up.
"Natalie's Autobot friend?" she asked in disbelief and I nodded.
"Wow! I wondered why your blood was blue. I didn't know you could turn into a human," she said as we started walking again.
"Yeah, it's a new thing. I'm still getting used to it. Hey, where's your family anyway?" I asked.
"At the library. I got bored, so I snuck out and went for a walk," Izzy admitted.
"You're lucky I was there. I'll walk you back," I told her.
When we got there, Natalie ran up to her little cousin.
"Where were you?" she asked worriedly.
"Someone b-kidnapped her," I mentioned.
"Yeah. I was terrified, but then your friend, Blue saved me!" she said.
Natalie looked up at me questioningly.
"Hey, Nat," I said with a smile.
"Blue? Since when did you become a human?" she asked.
"Since a little bit ago," I replied with a small laugh.
She smiled and gave me a hug.
"Thank you," she whispered.
I gave her a nod in reply before looking around.
While I'm here, I might as well learn more about the humans and how to be a human.
I found a book called "Bumblebee and Me". I picked it up curiously and went to a table. I sat down across from another person and started reading it. After a few minutes, I set the books down.
This is too weird.
I stood up and noticed the other person was gone. I walked across the street to the bank. I looked around. It seemed pretty fancy for a public place. There was a fountain in the center of the black and white checkered tile. Two palm trees stood on each side of the entrance that also served as the exit. I walked around for a minute before noticing a group of people dressed in black. I watched them curiously. Suddenly one person took out a machine gun.
"Everybody on the ground now!" he ordered as the others took out guns as well.
Then they spread out as the people screamed and got down on the ground.
Scrap. I can't take them on my own, but I have to do something. Eh I've faced worse odds than this...but back up always came.
As I was thinking what to do, one of the guys came up to me. "Hey, lady. Didn't ya hear me? I said get on the ground!" he yelled. Well, I guess I have no choice now. I quickly disarmed him before punching him in the face.
"Arg! You'll pay for that!" he said as he took out a smaller gun and shot me in the shoulder.
I fell on my back and cringed at the pain.
Ow, frag. Is it just me or do human weapons hurt more than Cybertronian's?
I tried to get up, but the same guy came over and pointed a gun at my head. He had a look of confusion on his face.
Heh, he probably wonders why my blood is blue.
Then, another guy came between us, but he wasn't dressed in black.
"Hurt her and you're dead," he warned angrily.
Huh? Who is this guy?
I managed to stand up. I tried to sneak over to the dropped gun, but suddenly I felt a sharp pain in my back. I tripped and fell. I guessed that the man in black or one of his friends had seen me and threw a knife in my back. I lied on the floor, my whole body burning with pain.
Owwww. I guess humans feel more pain when they get hurt since they don't have protective armor like us.
I closed my eyes and bit my lip as I started to feel myself fall into unconsciousness. After a moment, everything faded.
