A Very Merry Pokémon Christmas

*Not a part of the actual story. Just a special. Not how Jet learns Dragon Rush. Enjoy!*

"I can't believe Christmas is only two days away!" Nina cried excitedly, "This is gonna be the best Christmas ever!"

"How so?" Eric asked.

"Because I'm spending it with the greatest friends in the world!"

The others and I smiled.

As Nina said, Christmas is two days away, and Grandma Eli has invited us to her annual Christmas party. Even though it doesn't snow where I live, Klaus always assists by using his Froslass to make it snow.

Upon our arrival, the manor was decorated with lights and Christmas decorations. From the ground to the roof, everything was blanketed in snow.

"Come on, guys!" I said excitedly.

The six of us smiled and ran up to the door. I breathed out and knocked on the door. The door swung open, and Grandma Eli stood in the doorframe with a smile.

"Welcome, kids!" Grandma Eli said, "Come in, come in!"

We stepped inside when she stepped to the side and were in awe at what we saw. The foyer was decorated from top to bottom with lights and little ornaments. In the center of the living room was a large Christmas tree will lots of presents underneath.

Wow, there are so many!

"This place looks amazing, Elise!" Nina said.

"Thank you, Nina." she said.

That's when I heard a familiar cry. Turning around, I saw Kaiba waddle up to me. I ran to my Pokémon and wrapped my arms around her slender neck.

"Merry Christmas, Kaiba!" I said happily.

Kaiba let out a cry as she snuggled into my embrace. Libby let out a cry and nuzzled her cheek against Kaiba's.

"My Altaria has been training Kaiba very well," Grandma Eli said, "She's a fast learner."

"I'm glad," I said, releasing my Pokémon, "Oh! I almost forgot."

I walked up to Rina and Elsu and placed a hand on their shoulders.

"Meet Elsu and Rina," I said, "New friends we made when visiting Grandisle City."

"It's a pleasure to meet you two," Grandma Eli said, "Make yourselves at home. You are staying here after Christmas, after all."

"Right, of course," Rina said, "Thank you for letting us stay here."

"Yeah, your hospitality is greatly appreciated."

Grandma Eli smiled before walking into the kitchen.

"So, what are you doing now, Elise?" Kat asked, "Anything we can help you with?"

Grandma Eli hummed in thought as she leaned over the counter.

"Not at the moment, no," Grandma Eli said, "But I do have something planned for you guys."

"What is it?" Eric asked.

Grandma Eli reached under the counter before pulling out a small bowl.

"I took the liberty of planning a Secret Delibird for you guys," Grandma Eli said, "First, let me add Elsu and Rina to the poll."

Grandma Eli quickly wrote down their names, folded them, and dropped them in the bowl.

"I haven't done Secret Delibird in a while," Kat commented, "Back in Kalos, I would do it with my neighbors. It was a lot of fun!"

"Since there's five of us in the house, my family and I would do Secret Delibird every year!" Eric said.

"I've never played Secret Delibird before." Nina commented.

"Neither have I." Elsu said.

"Me neither," Rina said, "How do you play?"

"It's simple," I began, "You draw a person's name, and you have to get them a gift. You can't let your person know that you are their Secret Delibird. When everyone has their gifts ready, they do a gift exchange, and everyone gets to see who their Secret Delibird was."

"Precisely," Grandma Eli said, "Now, come and grab a name."

The six of us walked up to the bowl and picked out a name one by one. I unfolded my paper and smiled.

I got Elsu! He might be a bit difficult to find a gift for.

"All right, kids, you have three days to find your person a gift," Grandma Eli said, "If you need transportation across Ezonia, I will gladly lend you my Pokémon for you to use."

"Thank you, Ms. Elise." Rina said.

Grandma Eli nodded with a mind smile.

"Firstly, let's get you guys settled in," Grandma Eli said, "Era, the lounge for you and your friends is ready."

"Thanks, Grandma Eli!" I said, "Follow me, guys!"

I walked away from my grandmother and started ascending the stairs with my friends in tow. Turning down a corner, I opened a door and smiled at the sight.

Our lounge room is mainly for Grandma Eli, Klaus, and me to hang out and chill. It's often used as a guest space if Grandma Eli has friends over.

The once small leather sofa was now extended from one corner to another, an open space for our sleeping bags and a small Christmas tree.

Thanks, Grandma Eli...

"This space is amazing, Eragona!" Elsu said, "It's really sweet of your grandmother to let us stay over for Christmas."

"Thanks, Elsu," I said, "She's like this with all her friends."

"Well, let's drop off the unnecessaries and start Secret Delibird shopping!" Nina said eagerly.

Nodding to our redheaded friend, we dropped off our belongings before heading downstairs to the foyer. Grandma Eli turned around and smiled.

"Follow me." she said.

The six of us followed my grandmother outside, snow continuing to fall. Grandma Eli took out two Pokéballs before tossing them in the air.

"Salamence ad Dragonite!" she cried.

At her command, her prized Pokémon appeared before us. I smiled as I tossed up my own Pokéballs.

"Jet and Charcoal, I choose you!" I cried.

Like clockwork, my Pokémon appeared and let out mighty roars.

"Wow! You have a Charizard and a Garchomp?" Elsu asked, "Reminds me of-"

Rina quickly covered his mouth with a small grin.

"Reminds you of when you saw these two Pokémon battle each other, right?" Rina asked.

Elsu nodded as Rina lowered her hand.

That was cutting it too close...

"May I be of service, Lady Elise?" asked a familiar voice.

We turned around and saw Klaus holding up two Pokéball.

"Yes, thank you." Grandma Eli said.

Klaus stepped forward and tossed his Pokéball in the air.

"Honchkrow and Skarmory, come out, please." Klaus said.

At his command, two big Pokémon appeared: one dark blue and red, the other silver. I took out my Pokédex and scanned the two Pokémon.

"Honchkrow, the Big Boss Pokémon. A single cry from this nocturnal Pokémon and more than a hundred of its Murkrow cronies will assemble. If its Murkrow cronies fail to catch food for it, or if it feels they have betrayed it, it will hunt them down wherever they are and punish them."

"Skarmory, the Armor Bird Pokémon. Skarmory's steel wings become tattered and bashed in from repeated battles. Once a year, the battered wings grow back completely, restoring the cutting edges to their pristine state. It flies at speeds over 180 mph."

Honchkrow let out a cry and tipped its hat-shaped feathers. Skarmory let out a cry as it spread out its sharp red wings.

"Honchkrow and Skarmory are very reliable friends of mine," Klaus said, "They'd be more than willing to give you a ride, right, you two?"

Honchkrow and Skarmory let out cries and nodded.

"Okay, let's get going!" I said, climbing on Jet's back.

Kat got on Charcoal, Eric got on Salamence, Nina got on Dragonite, Elsu got on Honchkrow, and Rina got on Skarmory.

"Good luck, kids!" Grandma Eli said, "And remember, even if you don't find your gift today, you have tomorrow as well."

"Thanks, Eli!" Nina said.

With a final wave to Klaus and Grandma Eli, the six of us took to the skies.

"Let's meet back up at the manor by sunset." Kat suggested.

"Good idea," Rina said, "Good luck, everyone!"

Waving to one another, we all went our separate ways.

Okay, what can I get for Elsu? We haven't been together for that long, so I barely know his likes and dislikes. I wish I got either Kat or Nina, even Rina. Eric would've been a bit difficult, as well... Ugh, this is so hard! Well, even if I can't find a gift today, I can find one tomorrow.

"Gladiolus City, Jet," I said, "Maybe I can find something in the department store..."

Jet groaned and picked up speed.

The fact that I've never done Secret Delibird before will make this even harder...

Libby soon let out a cry and bumped her cheek with mine. I chuckled and placed my hand on her head.

"Thanks, Libbs," I said, "While we're there, maybe you can find something to give to Angel."

Libby smiled and let out happy cries. Jet soon started slowing down and descended toward the ground. When Jet touched down, I hopped off his back and returned him to his Pokéball. I looked around the city to see it decked with Christmas decorations and twinkling, rainbow-colored lights.

"The department store is probably going to be packed," I muttered, "Well, I don't want it getting any more packed."

I breathed out a heavy sigh and started making my way toward the department store. Upon my arrival, I saw a lot of people inside. Sighing, I walked through the glass doors and looked around, the department store bustling with life.

"Okay, where do I need to go?" I questioned, walking up to the floor catalog.

The floor I'm on now is the service counter, and the second floor is the Trainers' Market. The third floor has the electronics, the fourth floor is the gifts and accessories, and the fifth floor has the medicine. I need to go to the fourth floor. I hope I can find something there that Elsu will like.

I weaved through the crowd as I stepped into the elevator. Pressing the fourth-floor button, the metal doors closed, and the elevator began to rise. When the elevator stopped, the doors opened and revealed a lot of people on the floor.

"Hang onto me tight, Libby." I said.

Libby nodded and clutched onto my shoulder. I weaved through the crowd as I looked through the gifts. There were adorable plushies of different Pokémon and cute little accessories for them.

Maybe I can find Elsu a plushie of his favorite Pokémon! Unfortunately, I can't ask him without his growing suspicious... I guess I can see if Libby sees anything for Angel.

"See anything you'd like to get Angel, Libby?" I asked.

Libby hopped on my head to get an overview of the store. She then let out a cry as she pointed to something ahead. Turning my head, I saw a small display of plushies with Eevee and its evolutions. Smiling, I made my way toward the display.

"Let me guess: you want to get Angel a Sylveon plushie, don't you?" I asked.

Libby hopped down on my shoulder and nodded. Shaking my head fondly, I circled the display to find a Sylveon plushie. Luckily, I saw an adorable Sylveon plushie.

"Angel is gonna love this, Libbs!" I said, picking up the plushie.

Libby smiled and let out happy cries. After waiting in line, I paid for the plushie and had it wrapped in a gift box. I descended the escalator and made my way out of the department store.

Well, I couldn't find a gift for Elsu, but at least Libby found a gift for Angel that I know she'll love!

I took out a Pokéball and tossed it in the air.

"Jet, come on out!" I cried.

At my command, my Garchomp showed himself. I climbed on Jet's back and breathed out a heavy sigh.

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve, and I have no clue what to get Elsu...

Jet and Libby both let out concerned cries.

"I'm fine, guys. No need to worry," I said, "Back to the manor, Jet."

Let groaned and took to the skies. The once-blue sky became a deep amber color as I flew through the clouds.

This sunset reminds me of the Dragon Flame back at Ajax Village. So warm, but not without its meaning.

That's when the perfect idea popped into my head.

"I know exactly what to get Elsu now!" I cried happily.

Jet stopped midflight and let out a cry.

"No, buddy," I said, "We'll go tomorrow. I already promised to meet up with the others by sunset."

Jet let out a cry and continued his flight.

I can't believe it took me this long to come up with a gift for Elsu. Knowing what to get him, I know exactly where to go to get it!

When we arrived back at the manor, the others, along with Klaus and Grandma Eli, were waiting for me.

"And that's everyone accounted for." Grandma Eli said.

"Sorry, guys," I said, hopping off Jet, "You would not believe how crowded it was at the Gladiolus City Department store,"

"Did you find something, at least?" Eric asked.

"I didn't, but Libby did!"

Libby let out a cry, causing us to smile.

"Well, the sun is setting, and tomorrow is Christmas Eve," Grandma Eli said, "If you haven't found your gift yet, you may find it tomorrow."

After returning Jet and Charcoal to their Pokéballs, I followed my friends to the living room. The six of us placed our gifts under the tree and smiled.

I'll have to get up early to go to Ajax Village.

After saying goodnight, the six of us went upstairs and set up our sleeping bags.

"So, did you guys find your person a gift?" I asked.

"I did." Elsu said.

"So did I!" Kat said.

"Me, too!" Rina and Nina said.

"Same for me," Eric said, "What about you, Era?"

I swallowed hard and averted my friend's gaze.

"Eh, not really," I confessed, "I just hope I can find them a gift before midnight tomorrow."

"You will, don't worry," Kat said, "And I know that whatever you get them, they're gonna love it."

I nodded as I rested my hands on my hands.

"I know that, but I want this gift to be special, you know?" I questioned.

"I get it," Eric said, "I might find a substitute gift tomorrow; I don't know."

I smiled and let out a yawn.

"Well, we'd better get some shuteye, or we will be too tired for the party tomorrow."

The others nodded in agreement, and soon, we were all asleep.

Elsu is going to love his gift; I know he will! I just need a hand with it.

Morning came, and I was the first to arise. I quickly put on my clothes, grabbed Libby, and crept out of the room. Libby stifled a yawn before letting out a tired cry.

"Sorry, Libby. I didn't mean to wake you," I said, "You can stay here and sleep some more if you want."

Libby shook her head before snuggling up on my shoulder. I chuckled as I descended the stairs. Walking out the door, I took out a Pokéball and tossed it in the air.

"Jet!" I cried.

At my command, Jet appeared before me. Jet let out a yawn and leaned in towards me.

"Good morning to you, too, Jet," I said, "Sorry for the early wake-up call; I just wanted an early start to get Elsu's gift. Do you think you can take me there?"

Jet let out a friendly cry before hunching over. I smiled and climbed on my Garchomp's back.

"Primeval Jungle, Jet." I said.

Jet groaned before taking to the skies.

Primeval Forest from here is a journey in itself. I'm glad that I'm starting early.

Jet flew above the clouds, and a chilly wind swept past us. I shivered and hugged myself.

"I knew I should've brought my jacket..." I groaned.

When I breathed out a heavy sigh, my breath became visible.

You know it's cold if you can see your breath...

I glanced at Libby to see her huddled on my shoulder. I picked her up and wrapped my arms around her.

It's always coldest in the morning... I hate it...

Jet's cry brought me out of my thoughts. I looked down, and I saw Primeval Jungle.

"You know where, Jet." I said.

Jet let out a cry before descending toward the canopy. He then dove down into the leaves and landed in the middle of Ajax Village. I hopped off Jet's back and shivered.

"Not used to the cold?" asked a familiar voice.

I looked up and saw Chief Chogan. I grinned and shook my head.

"No, not really," I replied, "Happy Holidays, Chief Chogan,"

"Same to you," he said, "Now, what brings you here, Eragona."

"Well, my friends and I are doing Secret Delibrid, and I got Elsu. The problem is that I have no idea know what he likes. And now, I'm here. I want to give him something special that reminds him of home even on the road."

Chief Chogan hummed in thought before smiling.

"I have just the thing," he said, "Follow me."

I smiled as I followed the chief's lead. After a while, we came to a halt at a large hut. Walking inside, I saw tapestries with the Ajax Guardians on them. Chief Chogan picked something up from the corner of the hut before returning it to me. I was in awe at what he presented me. It was a smaller stone statue of the Ajax Guardians.

"Elsu looked up to the Ajax Guardians for as long as I can remember," Chief Chogan said, "Even after hearing about their passing, he still honors them."

"This is perfect!" I said, taking the statue, "Thank you, Chief Chogan! Merry Christmas!"

With a final wave to the chief, I walked out of the hut and whistled, causing my Garchomp to come forth. When I hopped on his back, Jet flew through the canopy with a loud roar.

"Back to the manor, buddy." I said.

With a firm nod, Jet started making his way back to the house. I looked down at the statue and smiled.

Elsu is going to love this!

That's when a shrill cry cut through the air.

What was that!?

"Jet, follow that cry!" I said.

Jet grunted and started descending to the ground. That's when we saw a woman and a little boy dressed in red and green on the ground. When Jet touched down, I hopped off his back and ran up to them.

"What happened?" I asked.

"Some freaks in blue just stole my Squirtle!" the little boy cried, "We were playing, and they popped out of nowhere and took him!"

"I tried to stop them with my Blaziken, but they stole him as well," the woman said, "Then one of their Pokémon used Haze, and they were gone."

Team Xenon...

"Did they say anything to you?" I asked.

"They said that our Pokémon were a kind donation to their cause, whatever it is." the woman said.

I hung my head and growled.

It's one thing to steal Pokémon, but to steal Pokémon from a child during Christmas? That's where I draw the line...

"Don't worry, I'll get your Pokémon back," I said boldly, pulling out a Pokéball, "Charcoal!"

At my command, my Charizard appeared.

"Bring these two to Grandma Eli's manor," I said, "You two will be safer there, I promise."

"Thank you," the woman said, helping her son onto Charcoal's back, "What is your name?"

I smiled as I hopped on Jet's back.

"Eragona," I answered, "Take to the skies, Jet!"

Jet roared before ascending to the skies above.

Whenever my friends and I would encounter and defeat Team Xenon, we would destroy their hideout. Cavern Cove City, Zillas City, outside of Grandisle City; all those hideouts have been blown to smithereens. Where else could they hide?

Libby's cry soon snapped me back to reality.

"What is it, Libbs?" I asked.

Libby let out a cry and pointed to the ground. Looking down, I saw two Team Xenon grunts sprinting down the dirt path. Above them was a Yanmega, carrying the woman's Blaziken in a net. Slung over one of the grunt's shoulders was the little boy's Squirtle. I growled and quickly placed the statue in my bag.

"Dragon Pulse on the Yanmega!" I cried.

Jet growled before launching a multicolored shock wave at the Ogre Darner Pokémon. The Yanmega got hit with the attack and fell on top of the grunts, dropping the Blazekin. When Jet landed, I hopped off his back and growled.

"Team Xenon!" I cried.

The grunts looked up and groaned.

"Not this brat again." the male grunt said.

"Release the Pokémon you stole!" I said, "It's bad enough to steal Pokémon, but to steal Pokémon on Christmas Eve from a child? That's a new low, even for you."

"Gotta do whatever it takes to make our dreams a reality." said the female grunt.

The Yanmega soon came to and got off its masters. The Blaziken and Squirtle struggled against the net, but it was too strong.

"We've gotten smarter over the past few months," said the male grunt as he stood, "We created our own mixture of metal that no Fire-type can melt, and we laced it into our nets."

I growled as I looked back at the Pokémon.

"And since metal conducts electricity..." the female grunt said, pulling out a remote.

When she pressed a button, the nets shocked the Blaziken and Squirtle.

"We can keep the Pokémon at bay if they try anything." she said.

The male grunt tossed up a Pokéball, and a Toxicroak appeared. That's when Ajax jumped out of his Pokéball and let out a cry.

"Wanted to get in on some of the action, huh?" I asked.

Ajax growled before letting out a loud cry. I quickly took out my Pokédex and scanned Ajax for his moves.

Leaf Blade, Dragon Pulse, Focus Blast, and Leaf Storm. Quite the move set.

"All right! Jet and Ajax, use Dragon Pulse!" I cried.

They growled before launching multicolored shockwaves at the opposing Pokémon.

"Dodge!" the grunts cried.

Obeying their masters' commands, the two Pokémon dodged their attacks.

"Libby, try and free Blaziken and Squirtle." I whispered.

Libby nodded and quietly rushed over to the captured Pokémon.

"Poison Jab!" the male grunt said.

"Wing Attack!" the female grunt said.

The opposing Pokémon charged their attack before rushing up toward us. When Jet roared, his horns began to glow. Then, he rammed into both Pokémon at great speed.

Was that... Dragon Rush?

The opposing Pokémon got up, but they staggered. I grinned and straightened my posture.

Now we're talking!

"Dragon Rush and Leaf Blade!" I cried.

My Pokémon grunted before racing toward the opposing Pokémon, and the Team Xenon grunts. When their attacks hit, it sent Team Xenon and their Pokémon flying.

"That takes care of them." I said.

Ajax and Jet let out friendly cries and smiled.

"You two were amazing!" I said, "And Jet, you learning Dragon Rush right when we needed it most was a lifesaver."

The two Pokémon smiled and let out friendly cries. I quickly rushed over to Libby to see her struggling to free Blaziken and Squirtle.

"Guess this new netting of theirs is really strong," I said, "Flames can't melt it, but maybe a blade can cut it! Ajax, use Leaf Blade!"

Ajax let out a cry and sliced through the net with no problem. The Blaziken and Squirtle shook off the net and let out happy cries.

"Thanks for the help, Ajax," I said, "Return."

I held up his Pokéball, and Ajax was sucked inside. The Blaziken and Squirtle let out friendly cries and smiled at me.

"You're welcome," I said, "Now, let's get you guys back to your trainers. Think you can keep up with us, Blaziken?"

The Blaziken picked up Squirtle and nodded with a firm cry. I reached into my bag and was relieved that the statue was still intact.

Thank goodness...

I climbed on Jet's back when Libby hopped on my shoulder and smiled.

"Back to the manor, Jet." I said.

Jet hovered off the ground before speeding down the dirt path with the Blaziken and Squirtle in tow.

I hope Charcoal got that woman and her son to the manor safely.

When we arrived at the manor, I saw my friends, Charcoal, Grandma Eli, the woman, and her son.

"Squirtle!" the boy cried happily.

When Blaziken came to a stop, Squirtle leaped out of Blaziken's arms and sprinted up to his trainer. The boy scooped up his Pokémon and hugged him tightly.

"Thank you, thank you!" the little boy said happily.

"You're welcome." I said, getting off Jet's back.

The Blaziken rushed up to his trainer and embraced her.

"Oh, Blaziken, you're safe!" she said, "Thank you so much, Eragona!"

I smiled as I turned back to my friends and grandmother.

"You had quite the morning, didn't you?" Grandma Eli asked with a grin.

"Don't even get me started," I said.

"Team Xenon?" Kat asked.

"Unfortunately. This was a new low for them. Stealing other people's Pokémon is bad enough, but stealing Pokémon on Christmas Eve? That's where I draw the line..."

"That is bad." Eric commented.

"Who is Team Xenon?" Rina asked.

Grandma Eli sighed and looked away.

"A band of inconsiderate people who steal Pokémon capable of Mega Evolution," Grandma Eli said, "Their goal is to liberate every Pokémon that can Mega Evolve. If they succeed, they will go on to try and capture the Legendary Pokémon that can Mega Evolve."

"There are Legendaries that can Mega Evolve?" Nina asked in shock.

Grandma Eli sighed and nodded.

"Let's not dwell on this topic any further," she said, "Tomorrow is Christmas, and there is still so much to do before our guests arrive this afternoon."

"Would you two like to join us?" I asked, looking at the woman and her son.

"We'd love to," the woman said, "By the way, I'm Clover."

"And I'm Victor." the boy said.

After returning Jet and Charcoal to their Pokéballs, I followed the others inside to help set up for the party.

One day, we have to bring Team Xenon to justice. They've gone too far this time...

When the guests arrived, the party was on. Clover and Victor stayed, and Nina's mother came, along with the other Elite Four members and the Champion. As the party was still going on, I sneaked away from the party to go into my room to wrap Elsu's Secret Delibird present.

Grandma Eli said that when midnight hits, everyone gets to open one gift, meaning my friends and I get to open our Secret Delibird gifts. Grandma Eli did a Secret Delibird with the other Elite Four members and Champion, so I can't wait to see what they got each other!

When I brought my present to the living room, I smiled and placed it under the tree. Libby let out a cry and pointed to the gift next to it.

"Yup, that's to Angel from you!" I whispered.

Libby smiled and wagged her tail as she let out happy cries. That's when I heard a loud dong ring throughout the house.

"Merry Christmas, everyone!" Grandma Eli proclaimed.

"Merry Christmas!" everyone cried happily.

I smiled when some of the guests' Pokémon let out happy cries.

"Every year at midnight, we open one gift," Grandma Eli said, "Luckily, I informed all of you that we were doing Secret Delibird this year. Eragona and her friends will start."

The others and I smiled and rushed toward the tree.

"Rina, this is for you from me!" Nina said, handing her a silver box.

Rina took the gift gladly and opened it. Inside was a beautiful pink and blue kimono.

"It's beautiful!" she said.

"Handcrafted by Yelena herself!" Nina said.

Rina looked at her with wide eyes.

"Seriously!?" Rina asked.

Nina smiled and nodded.

Wow! To think Yelena made that, especially for her.

Rina chuckled and wrapped her arms around Nina.

"Thank you! I love it!" she said.

Nina laughed and embraced her friend.

"Nina, this is for you." Eric said, giving her a blue-wrapped gift.

Nina smiled and tore open the gift. Inside was an adorable plushie.

"I remember you were saying that Primarina was your favorite Pokémon, and I was lucky enough to find a plushie of one." Eric said.

"I love it!" Nina said, "Thank you!"

Eric smiled and nodded.

"Oh! Eric, this is for you!" Rina said, holding up an orange-wrapped gift.

Eric took it and opened it. Inside was a shirt with Eric on it and his Pokémon.

"Rina, this is amazing!" Eric said, "When did you have time to do this?"

"I had some help from Ezra." Rina said sheepishly, looking back at the Elite Four member.

Ezra smiled and gave Rina a wink. Eric smiled and hugged Rina tightly.

"Thank you! I love it!" he said.

That was really sweet of her!

"Who's next?" Kat asked.

"You are!" Elsu said, handing her a small purple box, "Merry Christmas!"

Kat smiled and opened it. Inside was a beautiful Sylveon necklace.

"Oh, Elsu, it's beautiful!" Kat said, "Thanks so much!"

Elsu nodded with a kind smile.

"Eragona, this is for you!" Kat said, handing me a red-wrapped gift.

I smiled and took the gift from my friend. When I opened it, it was a medium-sized book. When I opened it, I saw pictures of us from around Ezonia.

"We all chipped in some," Nina said, "Eric would often take pictures without us realizing it."

"What can I say?" Eric asked, "With this new camera, I'm a photographer now."

As I flipped through the pages, I saw many pages were blank.

"Why are some blank?" I asked.

"That way, we can take more pictures to capsulate more memories!" Kat said.

I smiled and embraced my friends.

"Thanks, you guys!" I said, "I love it!"

When we parted, I handed my gift to Elsu.

"Don't think we've forgotten about you, Elsu." I said.

Elsu smiled and took the gift. When he opened it, his eyes welled with tears.

"At first, I had no idea what to get you. Then, I remembered that there's no better gift than being close to the ones you love," I said, "So, with the help of your father, he wanted me to give you this so you never feel far away from home."

Everyone around us couldn't help but "aw" at the gift. Elsu smiled and wrapped his arms around me.

"Thank you, Era," he said," This is the best gift ever!"

I smiled and returned the gesture. After we parted, Libby hopped off my shoulder and pushed her gift toward Angel. When she came to a halt, Libby let out a cry. Angel tilted her head to the side and opened the box. She then let out a happy cry as she pulled out the Sylveon plushie. Everyone around us laughed at the adorable gesture. That's when Angel went behind the tree and came back with an Eevee plushie in her mouth. Kat and I looked at one another and laughed.

"Great minds think alike." we said.

After that, everyone opened their Secret Delibird gifts and was happy with what they received.

When morning arrived, my friends, Grandma Eli, the other Elite Four members, and I stayed to open our other gifts. This was my first Christmas with my friends, and it was perfect. I couldn't have asked for better friendsa better familyto spend Christmas with!

*Sorry that it is a day late. I was spending Christmas with my family. Surely, you can understand. Happy Holidays, everyone! Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!*
