Hey Wattpad, so a few days ago I had a traumatic experience in my own home.....

I managed to lock myself in the basement.

Now before you ask, no, I was not down there very long, I just have ADHD, so to me it felt like DAYS.

Anyways, so I was going to shower down there, and as I was closing the door that never wants to close, I pulled the flipping handle off.

Yet me being the complete idiot I am, I STILL closed the door *facepalm* And that was when I realized, it is extremely difficult to open a door without a handle.

After trying twice, because I am lazy, I just shrugged and figured I'd deal with it later, after I showered.

So, after showering I tried to open the door again -  shockingly, it still didn't open. So I started shoving my shoulders against the door, trying really hard to get it to open, and accidentally slammed my knee into the wall. Hard.

So just imagine a girl trying to hulk shove a door open, then cursing and limping as they continue to injure themselves........ Yep. That is what I looked like.

Because I am a wussy, I gave up and just started knocking and banging on the door, (stop. bang was the only word I could think of, okay?), hoping someone would hear me, while telling myself it would be fine because, hey, bathroom has water, won't dehydrate. .....Yeah..... I just kinda sat there for awhile, until I heard someone come down into the basement. So I started knocking on the door again.

5 minutes later my mum finally answered and wentz: "Are you stuck in there?" NO MUM I WAS JUST HITTING THE DOOR FOR FUN.
Anyways, it very much hurt my pride and destroyed my dignity (the little that remained, anyways) but I muttered "Yes...." and she finally opened the door. Then my family laughed at me and told me that was what I got for being an idiot.

LESSON: if the handle falls off the door, DON'T try and close it.

Unless you are a wizard and can open doors magically.
