Semanthronids are curious creatures, usually created for some purpose by gods, wizards or necromancers. They have a humanoid portion and an inhuman portion to their physiology, and for whatever reason, have continued to exist in this form. 

The most populous and well-known semanthronid is the centaur, a race spread widely across Terrok, but many others exist in isolated parts of the world.
