Terrok's Place In The Cosmos

Terrok is an approximately Earth-sized planet (maybe a little bigger), with one large continent in its northern hemisphere. Other continents exist but haven't been discovered by anyone in our story(ies) thus far. The continent is also named Terrok (because its inhabitants truly believe they're alone in the world), but is divided into East and West by a great mountain range. 

The World of Terrok circles a tri-star system with five other planets. It has a twin world that orbits the system exactly opposite Terrok, so the two never share a night sky. The other four planets are much larger and further from the suns, and if inhabited are inhabited only by very monstrous or hardy creatures. This tri-star system is part of a very large galaxy toward the center of the universe. (As far as any sages have cared to discover) 

The largest of Terrok's suns is named Sulbin. It is about the same size as our sun, Sol. The second visible sun, named Luz, is much smaller, and slightly redder in color. It can be viewed with the naked eye for brief periods without harm. It exists to the south of the larger sun, but they are very close in the sky. They are always in the same positions, one to the north of the other. 

Even farther north, on the other side of the large yellow Sulbin from Luz is an invisible sun called Stellamignon. (More about Stellamignon in the next chapter, "Terrok's Magic." ) Stellamignon gives off a magical radiation called 'radiance.' It is this radiance that makes Terrok's system an especially magical place.
