The Teen Fiction is an all-time favorite genre of Wattpad. From bad boys to sexy step brothers, from masterpieces to mastershits, this genre has it all. So, it's quite tough to sum it all up in a single chapter. But well, I'm not Zarin unless I try something impossible and then fail miserably, you know?

Majority of the teen fictions are mostly written by young girls under fourteen who have yet to experience love or actual friendship. I'm not saying being young or inexperienced is a bad thing (I mean, I wrote my first story when I was, what, six? I cringe everytime I think about it, but a good memory nonethless) Actually, I encourage you to write from an young age. However, it's also important to experience the real world before writing about it.

People are quite complex, and the relationships amomg them are even more so. You might read this story named 'Only His' which features this misanthropic bad boy who punches everyone like he's in WWF and a frail, shy girl who has the greatest friends ever but is always being bullied for some reason - and think, wow, even I can write something like this. And maybe then you will write something like this and then it too will get 5M reads. But that's it. Your story will eventually just become one of the bad boy - good girl story among millions of others. You won't even be able to find it by typing in the search bar - cause not even your title is uncommon.

....wow, that's some pretty poetic shit by the way, don't you think?

Some cliches:

1. The girl has to be shy, nerdy and sweeter than honey.

2. The guy has to be rude, a man-whore and never pay attention to class. He can simultaneously smoke, punch, kick, do a back-flip and have sex with thirty girls all at the same time - which is pretty amazing, if you think about it...?

3. How they meet:

Mostly in detentions. Somehow the holier-than-bible girl gets a detention and there is our hotter-than-hell guy waiting to tease her. She just attracts his attention at first sight even though the girl is supposedly super average. Like, she's so average, she doesn't even know how to calculate an average even though she knows differentiation and integration (Which is totally not average)

4. What the story has to have:

A slutty bitch. This is necessary in every story. Seriously.
EVERY STORY.

But there are a few exceptions and some of those stories are my all time favourite (The Girl He Left Behind, anyone?) I just don't get why a girl is branded a slut just because she's the head cheerleader. Also, most people encourage boys to date as much as they can and sleep around with whoever they can, however, it's the exact opposite for girls. Why? Who are guys supposed to sleep around with? Trees? (Or other guys are also available *grins a fujoshi grin*)

5. A dance. Yes, there just has to be a dance where they stare at each other and stare at each other and stare and stare and stare and keep staring like that pervert from across the street.
