Prologue
A/N: There will be no formatting (bold, italic, underline, ect.) in this. I'm very sorry. I work on this on my this l phone, so it just shows the option to copy-paste, not the format options. I hope your ok with this. I might be able to add formatting once I get batteries for my Xbox controller tho (yes, I have Wattpad on my Xbox. I have Microsoft Edge on there, and since I don't have a Chromebook/computer except for my school one, which blocks Wattpad, I use that to do the formatting. I do the actual writing on my phone tho)

Xella stared at her child, looking them in the eyes.
"Are you sure you want to do this? That server has an Anti-Watcher barrier surrounding it. We've tried to send Watchers there before... And you know what happened to them... I don't want that to happen to you too."
The black and white hybrid opened their mouth, about to protest, but their mother continued with her speech.
"And say you do make it into the SMP, what will happen then? We don't know the side affects of the barrier."
The enderman hybrid sighed. "Mom, I still want to do this. Don't worry, I'll be fine. And plus, Ms. Death is there to protect me!" He pointed out optimistically.
Their mother sighed as well, looking down. "The last time I let a child of mine go off into the player realm against my better judgement...." She muttered. The hybrid was just barely able to hear her.
Their eyes widened. "Mom........ You're talking about that happened to Grian aren't you?" He asked softly.
The Watcher in question looked up and nodded weakly, eyes glistening. "I don't want to lose you too... Grian's here, but, still.... What happened to him was horrible... And I wasn't even there to help!" The woman choked.
"I know Mom.... but that won't happen to me." They reassured her, putting a hand on her shoulder.
A look of answer flashed across the women's face as she stepped back. "How do you know that?! How do you know that you won't be hurt?! That I won't LOSE you!?" The Prime Watcher cried, tears falling down her face.
Xella's child sighed, looking down at their feet for a minute before looking back up to answer. "Because. I'll actually remember you. I'll remember my time here, my training. Even if I can't use my powers, I'll still remember. That's the difference mom. Grian was too young to remember anything. But I'm not."
The silence that followed was deafening. The teen gulped, worrying that good reasoning wouldn't work, and Xella wouldn't let him go.
The Watcher in question then brought her sleeve to her face, wiping her tear stained face.
"Fine." Xella hissed, "You can go. Just don't get hurt. And.. Send letters, and visit if you can..." She trailed off at the end, her voice softening.
The black and white Watcher smiled. "Thank you, mom. I will. I promise." They stated, more confident than before.
His mother nodded, a dazed look in her eyes as she stared into space afterwards.
She shook her head after a minute had passed. "You need to get ready, if your really are going."
An even bigger smile found it's way onto the hybrid's face. "Ok. I'll be in my room. Love you mom!" They called over their shoulder, turning away and walking towards their room.
"Please tell me I won't regret this." The Prime Watcher muttered to herself.
She did. She regretted it A LOT. Because her child didn't keep their promise. The last time Xella saw him was when he walked through that portal, traveling far away from her.
Traveling into the Watcherless Land.
