Chapter Two - It's not goodbye, it's just.. Until I see you again
A/N: Ayyyy! I finally updated :D I'm sorry it took so long tho, it was even longer than the last one. Hopefully the next one will be out faster; I sure plan on it.
Welp, here's the chapter you've waited so long for.
CONTENT WARNING: I don't think there are any. Correct me if I'm wrong tho-
Grian smiled at the guard, thanking him. He had returned his vault key to his pocket, the trip back out of the weaponry much quicker than the trip in.
"No problem Xelqua! Good luck with your trip." The guard smiled sadly, "And.. Come back safe, ok?"
"Of course!" Grian beamed, "And I'll be bringing Ranboo back too."
The brunette in armor gave him a look. Xelqua rolled his eyes, but non the less rephrased his statement. "Okay ok, I PROBABLY will be bringing Ranboo back, but if there's danger, I'll come straight home, no matter what."
The guard smiled.
"Lord, you're just like my mother..." The blond muttered, shaking his head.
The armored man laughed, shooing the Watcher Prince along. "You should get going now Xelqua, stay safe!"
"I will! See ya!" Grian waved to the brunette as he headed on his way, leaving to alert Pearl of the news before he left.

"Pearl!" The blonde called out, catching the attention of his friend.
"Hang on!" Pearl said, pausing the game she was playing with Emma. She took off her headset, the girl next to her doing to the same. Em was also friends with Grian, they just didn't spend as much time together as Pearl and Emma did.
Pearl leaned over the couch, arms resting on the top. "What's up Grian?"
"Well," Grian started, walking into the room. "I have some news."
"Yeah?" She tilted her head. "Is it important or something?"
He nodded. "It is important. I'm... Going to the DreamSMP."
Pearl started to laugh, not taking him seriously. "Good one G! Now, tell me what's actually going on."
Emma elbowed her. "Pearl." She murmured, "I think he's serious. The look on his face..." Em trailed off, no more needing to be said. Pearl looked at him again, considering what her friend had just said.
A look of horror crossed her face. "Wait.. You- you aren't serious, right?"
"I am." Grian affirmed, head nodding slightly. "Please don't try to talk me out of it." He muttered, mostly to himself though.
The look on Pearl's face was one of pure terror and shock. But it was soon replaced by a more thoughtful look. She seemed to think things over for a minute, coming to a decision at last.
"You know what... I trust you. You of all people would be able to do it, your the must powerful Watcher I know after all!" Pearl smiled at that last bit; it was true, Grian was one of the most powerful Watchers. There only person they knew who was stronger than him was Xella, the Prime Watcher herself.
Emma nodded at Pearl, smiling. The message she intended to convey was clear: you made the right decision.
Grian smiled at the response. "Thank you Pearl," He said softly.
"No problem bro. That's what friends are for am I right?" If she was next to him, Pearl would have nudged him with her elbow. But she was still on the couch, so she settled for her tone.
"Yeah. That is what they're for." Grian agreed, his voice more confident than before. In all honesty, the two had a sibling like bond, but Xella had never adopted Pearl, as she always said she felt it was wrong. Don't know what that's about, but it's not important right now.
"I just wanted to say goodbye."
Realizing how that sounded, Grian corrected himself. "Wait- no. Not goodbye, that sounds like I'll never bee back."
Pearl got off the couch, standing in front of him now. "How bout, 'until I see you again.'" She suggested.
Smiling, Grian simply nodded. "Well then, until I see you again Pearl."
The comfortable silence that followed was only broken by Emma. "I'm here too ya know." Em pouted. Both Grian and Pearl started cracking up at the remark. "It's not that funny." The blond with pink fade only continued to pout.

Pearl and Emma stood next to Xella, watching as Grian, fully armored, was escorted to the portal by the brunette knight from earlier. There wasn't a crowd this time - they didn't want it to be public, as having both heirs leave would most likely send people into panic. There was a slight disrupt rippling threw the crowds now, but if the news that Xelqua also left got out, it would be pure chaos. And not the good kind.
Grian waved, walking toward the portal. The scene was all to familiar to Xella, and it took all she had to not cry.
"I WILL be back, don't worry. Hopefully I'll bring back Ranboo, but even if I can't, I'll come back. I promise. And it's one I won't break." Grian promised, backing into the portal.
"I'll see you later guys." Were his last words before the portal sucked him in.

Grian's eyes widened at the sight that greeted him.
"RANBOO!" He cried.
A/N: Yup. Cliffhanger. Do I regret it? Nope 👍
But I do regret how long this took to get out, and the fact that it was so short 😕
