I remember when I met him.Father told me that a family was coming over for a dinner after he was saved by the father of that family.When they arrived,I didn't know what to say.The father was a large and well-built man with tan skin and jet black long hair tied into a ponytail and old style facial hair.He looked like a modern samurai.The thing that caught my eye was a large lion tattoo on his arm.I looked at the mother and noticed she had a smaller tattoo of a lion upon her neck.My father and theirs shook hands and conversed with one another as I watched.

???:Hey.

I quickly turned around and was met with a boy about my age with a menacing glare.He was wearing a hoodie and some jeans with regular athletic shoes.He looked me up and down and then held out his hand.

Y/N:I'm Y/N.Nice to meet you.

Mari:Oh...nice to meet you...I'm Mari.

Y/N:Well Mari,I hope we get along.

After I met Y/N,we spent the whole day together.We walked around and talked about various things.For a commoner,he was very knowledgeable and articulate in his speech.

Y/N:So tell me Mari,what do you do for fun.

Mari:Well,I like to read,go running,do gymnastics.I usually prefer to do something just to keep myself busy.What about you?

Y/N:Eh,I just practice my martial arts and play video games.Other than that I just spend time with my family.

Mari:Don't you have any friends to be with?

Y/N:Ha,friends.One of the things I don't have.

Mari:Why not?

Y/N looked at me and pointed at his face.

Y/N:This is why.

Mari:I....don't quite get it.

Y/N:I always look pissed off.People avoid because of that.When I approach them they run away....

Y/N looked down a hint of annoyance and sadness in his face.I grabbed his hands with mine and smiled.

Mari:I'll be your friend,Y/N.

Y/N stared at me before a small smile curled upon his face.

Y/N:Thanks.I'll be your friend too,Mari.

We finished dinner as my father walked Y/N's family out.

Mari:Well,I guess this is where we say goodbye.

Y/N:Looks like it....

There was a brief silence between us.I held out my hand and smiled.Y/N looked at me and back at my hand.

Y/N:Close your eyes.

Mari:What for?

Y/N:It's a surprise.

I looked at Y/N as he awaited my actions.I nodded and closed my eyes as I felt two arms wrap around me firmly.My eyes shot open and was met with Y/N hugging me.He gently rubbed my back as I was at lost on what to do.My body instinctively went into auto pilot and I returned the hug.After a minute or so,Y/N broke the hug and smiled at me.

Y/N:I hope to see you again. Bye-bye!

I watched as Y/N jogged to his car and hopped into the back seat.He looked out the window and waved at me as I waved back.I watched as his car drove off further and further away from my line of sight.

Mari:Bye.....

After that I never saw him again......That is,until I met Meiko.

I quickly turned the corner and tripped and fell getting all my clothes wet as the rain continued it's downpour. That girl who that gave me her handkerchief is now all dirty.I...why did I......

???:What's wrong,girl.

I was broken from my thoughts as I saw boots standing in front of me.

???:Hey,can you speak?

The voice was definitely a guy.It was slightly coarse and sounded annoyed.I lifted my umbrella and saw a guy about my age wearing a unzipped windbreaker with a school uniform underneath holding an umbrella.That uniform...it's from the all-boys private school down the road.I couldn't see the boy's face as he let out a sigh and extended his arm out towards me.

Boy:Can you stand?

I slowly extended my hand out to him and took his hand.It was cold but surprisingly soft.He hoisted me up and looked at my drenched uniform.I was about to his chest in height level as he turned around and closed his umbrella.He then knelt down and held his arms out.

Boy:C'mon,i'll take a look at that scrape.

I was downright at a lost on what to do as as waved his arms.

Boy:Hurry up.I'm not trying to get sick.

I hurried and wrapped my arms and legs around the boy and held my arm out covering us with my umbrella as he began walking.His body was very warm and he smelled really nice.I wanted to ask where we were going but I was too shy to ask.The boy rounded the corner and stopped at an average looking two-story house.The boy rummaged in his pocket and pulled a key out and opened the door and walked in with me.

Boy:I'm home!

No response came from the darkened house.

Boy:Looks like i'm home alone for now.

The boy set me down as he took his boots off.He glanced at my scrape and brushed it off saying it was fine.

Boy:Take your clothes off and go take a bath.I'll wash your clothes for you and get you a towel.

The boy turned the hallway lights on showing his features.He had h/l h/c hair and piercing e/c eyes and a glare that seemed to look like he was pissed off.

Boy:Well,are you gonna go?

Girl:O-oh...right....

I went up the stairs and went into the bathroom as I took my clothes off and left them in the hamper by the door as I turned the faucet on and began to fill the bathtub up.I got in once I got everything all set up.As I sat in the bathtub,the door opened as the boy peeked in,took the hamper,and closed the door before I could even process my reaction.After resting in the bath,I dried myself off and then hit me.What am I going to wear?That question had to wait as a light knock came on the door as the boy walked in and handed me some clothes.

Boy:Here.Need anything,i'll be downstairs.

The boy left the room as I dropped the towel and got dressed.The outfit he gave me was a long sleeve sweatshirt and joggers.The undergarments he gave me fit oddly well.I made my way downstairs as the boy was sitting at the kitchen table doing what I assume was homework.

Girl:Th-Thank you very much!

The boy turned towards me and got up.

Boy:Huh,it fits you.

The boy shook his head and motioned me to sit on the couch.I complied and we sat down.

Boy:Okay,can I get your name?

Meiko:It's.....Meiko.

Y/N:Cool,I'm Y/N.Listen,it's gonna be awhile until your clothes are ready,are you okay with staying for awhile?

Meiko:I.......I don't mind.....

Y/N nodded and turned the TV on before handing me the remote.

Y/N:You can watch whatever you want,snacks are in the pantry,and if you want me to make you something, just ask. I'll be at the table doing homework.

Y/N got up and sat back down and continued doing his homework......What a strange guy.
