Chapter Unlucky (13)
Annabeth's PoV
I woke up in a bright room on a soft bed. I was amazed by the architecture of the room. White marble pillars sat on marble floors, holding up the marble ceiling. It was defiantly Greek. To my left I saw a doorway without a door, leading into a marble hall. To my right there was a huge balcony, overlooking the ocean.
My bed was simply light grey, but it was the size of two queen beds set side-by-side. Over it was a canopy with light grey, silk drapes hanging off of it.
When I sat up I realized I was wearing an ankle length chiton, a Greek item of clothing that both the men and women wore, in different styles, like today's jeans. It was light grey with white swirls on it. I reached up and felt my hair, it was braided with thin strands of some type of metal, probably gold. My arms were covered in gold jewelry and I had gold sandals on my feet. I didn't like it much at all.
Anyways, I got up out of the bed and walked out onto the balcony. The view was amazing! I saw the blue ocean stretching out in front of me. Little buildings dotted the hills around me. Green grass grew right to the sand line of the ocean. Birds sang and insects chirped.
After taking a moment to take it all in I realized where I was, but that couldn't be right. I was in Greece. Last I remember we were fighting pirates just off the coast of California. I have no clue how I'd gotten to Greece that fast. I sat on the edge of the balcony until I sensed someone else in the room.
A young woman, maybe twenty, had just stepped I to he room, "Hello, Ms. Chase, I'm Cali, I'll be your personal assistant why you're here." Cali wore a light pink chiton and her hair was pulled into an elegant hairstyle on top of her head. Her eyes were a strange silver color with gold specks in them.
"Cali, can you tell me why I'm here, or why I had a high price on my head but not my friends?"
She looked away, "My apologies, the master wishes to speak to you. I can not tell you anything."
"Thanks for the help," I replied sarcastically.
"This way, please," she led me down the hall and into what I assumed was a war room. I'd figured the entire place was Greek and made of white marble. Sitting in the middle of the room was a wooden table with modern technology, iPads, 3D map projectors, things like that. At either end there was a beautiful chair. The walls were covered in weapons, minders and ancient.
A man sat in the at the far end of the table, "Please, have a seat."
He looked like a war general. He was huge, muscle wise, and battle scared, but couldn't be more than twenty-five. His brown hair cut in a buzz cut. He had the same strange eyes as Cali and wore Ancient Greek armor.
I cautiously sat in the seat opposite him, "Would you mind explaining why I'm here?"
He smiled, it was a genuine smile, "Of course not. Cali if you would leave us that'd be great."
"Yes sir," Cali bowed and left the room.
"Now I guess it's time I start explaining things, isn't it?"
Percy's PoV
It's been three days and we still haven't found Annabeth.
I did learn that if I'm looking for someone, or something, I know and it's in the ocean I can find it. That'd be helpful if Annabeth was a fish, but I'm pretty sure she's not.
Anyways she's still missing, and I'm worried. I just hope she's alright...
