Chapter Death (5)
Holly's PoV
Thor sighed, "I'm afraid none of you have experienced anything as awful as they can create. Well maybe the one Lady Aphrodite calls Percabeth." I saw Percy and Annabeth jump about five feet from each other while blushing. Athena glared at Percy, I guess she doesn't approve of their relationship. Thor laughed, a big boomy sound, "Was that what she was ranting about? A teenage couple? That makes more sense, she never talks about real warriors." Thor couldn't see it, but Athena and Ma'at shared a look, I had a feeling something was about to happen.
Percy looked a offended, but he was also worried for some reason. Then I saw why. Annabeth was really mad. I swear I saw smoke coming out of her ears as she practically growled, "What do you mean real warriors?"
Thor is apparently an idiot and didn't catch on, so he kept smiling, "You two are merly children, you can't be amazing enough to earn the goddess's attention through anything but love."
"Wanna bet?" Annabeth said, if I were Thor I would've backed out, but he, stupidly, didn't.
"I love a good gamble," Thor smiled, "Let us do it!"
"Okay," Annabeth said, "how can we prove that we are heroes?"
Thor thought for a moment, then said, "A duel. Against me."
Annabeth looked at Percy, and smiled, "Against you?" She asked, but she wasn't scared or anything.
Thor looked thoughtful then said, "You're right...that wouldn't be fair...you may both fight me at once! You won't beat me, but you may still prove your worth."
Annabeth rolled her eyes. "Okay. Can we get this over with? I have a quest to go on."
Thor smiled and nodded, then beckoned them over. Percy and Annabeth walked to the center of the room with Thor then got into fighting stances.
Thor struck first, swinging his hammer towards the pair, but they easily dogged it. Thor then struck lightning towards Percy, but the son of the sea deflected it with his sword. Thor was starting to realize his mistake of fighting these two and stopped smiling.
Annabeth yelled something in an odd language, Greek I'm guessing, and the other Greeks laughed. Even Athena smiled a little. The daughter of Athena then looked at Percy and said, "Plan Beta Twenty-Three." Percy smiled, nodded, then started running right at Thor, Annabeth right behind him.
Percy suddenly stopped for some reason, and turned towards Annabeth. She jumped, and I realized what was going on. Percy had cupped his hands and used them to push her up. She did a flop in midair. She then landed on Thor's shoulders, and did som big wrestling move thing to bring him to the ground. The god's hammer skidded to the other side of the room as the two demigods pinned him to the floor, Percy's sword to the gods neck.
Thor looked shocked, then laughed, "I believe I underestimated you two. I must apologize, will you accept it?"
Percy stood up, then helped Annabeth up. Annabeth smiled and said, "Of course. Gods actually never apologize for anything to us. I'm surprised she did today." The demigod gestured to Athena at this.
Athena looked mad and huffed, "Thor, Ma'at, you two can handle the rest of the information. I'm a very busy goddess and must be going. Avert your eyes everyone." I saw everyone look away, so I did the same. There was a bright flash, and when I looked up the Lady Athena was gone.
A minute later the doors burst in, and a girl on a horse charged in. "Sorry I'm late," she said. "Spirit didn't want to come." It was Amelia Black, my friend with dirty blonde hair, blue eyes, and a pretty wicked battle axe. Oh she obviously has a horse too.
Nicole glared at her, "You're late, as usual. There was a frost giant for crying out loud!"
Amelia smiled, "Sorry Nics, blame the horse, not me."
Nicole continued to glare, "Don't call me Nics! It's Nicole! Not Nics! Not Nici! Not Nico! Not Cole! Not Nic! Just Nicole!"
"Jeez calm down. I'm just playing. I'm sorry, Nicole," Amelia said. I believe her. She's really nice, most of the times, and doesn't like making people mad, again most of the times.
I heard a cough from behind us and realized the ogres were still there. Oopsies. Alexia smiled and said, "Sorry guys. This is Amelia Black, unclaimed daughter of a god or goddess. Amelia these are people. Greek and Roman demigods and Egyptian Egyptians. They're nice so tell Spirit to be nice back."
Amelia looked at the horse and said, "Be nice."
The horse whined, and Amelia laughed. Percy on the other hand looked shocked, "I've been expelled for saying less than that!"
Everyone laughed at this, but Annabeth looked at everyone and said, "He's not joking. He speaks horse." This earned weird looks then more laughs.
Amelia smiled then asked, "So who is everyone?"
I looked at them then said, "Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena. Percy Jackson, my obviously stupid half-brother of the Greek aspect. Piper McLean, daughter of Aphrodite. Jason Grace, son of Jupiter. Frank Zhang, son of Mars. Hazel Lesvesque, daughter of Pluto. Leo Valdez, son of Hephaestus. Nico di Angelo, son of Hades. Sadie Kane, Carter Kane, Walt Stone, or Anubis, god of funerals, and Zia Rashid. They're the magicians. Oh and hats Thor and Ma'at, not a god, but older thing of order." I gestured to the correct person for every name, then gave myself a mental high-five for remembering the names. If my best friend, Pippin, were here he would have said some know-it-all response.
"Cool. Well when are we going on a quest," Amelia asked.
Frank said, "Yeah. That's what I want to know."
