Sadie's PoV

Carter and Zia were up the stairs to us within a few minutes. They had out their weapons, so Walt and I pulled out ours. We all looked at each other and came to a silent agreement. Go.

We walked towards the room where we heard the talking coming from. Right before I opened the door the talking stopped. I looked back at Carter for confirmation, and he nodded his head. I turned back to the door and opened it. Standing there was a group of eight teenagers.

There were five boys and three girls in the room who all looked ready to kill us with their swords, now and arrows, and knives. I looked at them from left to right, and this is what I saw.

There was an Asian guy with a black buzz-cut. He was about six foot four, and looked like he turned into a bull then back to a human, but kept some of the bull. He wore a Vancouver Olympics shirt, sneakers, and cameo pants. He had the bow.

Next was a girl with cocoa brown skin and dark frizzy hair. Her eyes were a strange luminous gold color. She was about my height and I'm five foot five. Her white tank-top and navy blue cardigan looked good with her skin. She wore dark jeans tucked into riding books with it. She had a long sword that looked like it for horde riding.

Next to her was a boy who looked exactly like Anubis, but shorter. He was about five foot eight, and wore a skull ring. His clothes were all black with skulls. His sword was pure black.

Santa's Latino elf stood next to him. He was an inch taller than me, so give foot six. His hair was curly, and he had an impish grin in his face. His white t-shirt was stained with oil along with his cargo pants. He strangely wore a tool belt too. No weapon was on him.

Next to him was a girl who reminded me of the actor Tristan McLean. She looked like a Cherokee with her tan skin. Her eyes were like kaleidoscopes changing from blue to green to brown. She had choppy brown hair with braids in it. She wore a purple tank-top and ripped jean shorts. She had a big knife.

A boy who looked like a blonde superman was next to her. He was about six three and had blue eyes. He was wearing a superman shirt and jeans. He held a golden sword.

There was then a boy with seagreen eyes and raven black hair. He simply wore an orange t-shirt and jeans. He was about an inch shorter than blonde superman. His sword was made of bronze.

The last person shocked me, "Annabeth?!"

She looked at me and relaxed a little, "Sadie?"

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

She glanced at my group, "I might ask the same of you."

"Well-"

I was cut off by Carter. "You two know each other?"

"Yeah-"

I was cut off by the kid with seagreen eyes this time. "Wait. Carter?!"

Carter seemed to notice him for the first time. "Percy?"

Annabeth looked at who I guess was Percy, "You know him?!"

Percy looked at her with a blank expression, "Yeah..."

She looked at him and said in a deadly calm voice, "Why didn't you tell me?"

"I might ask the sa-" realization dawned in his face, "oh Styx...you know I'd better be leaving now."

He started towards the door, but Annabeth grabbed his arm. "We'll talk about this later, Seaweed Brain." Percy simply nodded while the other five of their group tried not to laugh.

I said five not six because the girl with cocoa skin was staring at Walt. She looked...confused?

The Asian kid looked at her worriedly and said, "Hazel are you okay?"

Hazel continued to stare at Walt, but said, "I'm fine Frank."

Frank asked her why she was staring and she looked at him funny. Everyone looked as confused as I felt.

Hazel looked at Walt then at the kid in black. She then asked, "Do you guys not see it? They look like twins."

Was she? But how? Durat? What? Lucky fir me Zia spoke up, "He looks more like you than the pale boy."

Hazel looked offended, "The pale boy is my brother Nico."

Zia nodded and said, "I was just saying that he looks nothing like your brother."

The Latino kid spoke up, "Wait. Aren't you surprised about them being siblings." He looked at Hazel and Nico, "No offense guys."

Hazel looked at him, "It's fine, Leo. I'm actually wondering the same thing."

Carter said, "She's not surprised because Sadie," he gestured to me, "and are siblings. Anyways I want to know why you think they look alike."

Hazel looked at her friends, "Guys try really hard to look through The Mist."

All of her friends focused then gasped. Percy said, "THERE'S TWO NICOS!!!"

Nico didn't even flinch, "Anubis?"

Wa- I guess it's Anubis now said, "Oh. Hello Ghost King." He then turned to me, "The Mist is their protection from the Durat. It's very thin though."

"Thanks Wa- Anu- Wal- Anub- whatever," I said. "Anyways we'd better introduce ourselves. I'm Sadie, the other girl is Zia, the kid with two looks is Walt and/or Anubis, and that dork," I pointed to Carter, "is my brother Carter."

Annabeth smiled then said, "Nice to meet you guys. I'm Annabeth. This is Percy, Jason, Frank, Hazel, Leo, Piper, and Nico," she pointed to each person as she said their name.

"Nice to meet all of you," Zia politely said, as always. "Now for more important matters. Why are we all here?"
