*ShadeStars POV*

"Xylo?" My ear twitched at the sound of my name "Hm?" Blinking my eyes open I slowly sit up while shaking the moss that was left from my nest to the floor. "Yes, Coming" I mumble while stretching out my muscles, I sniff the air to catch the familiar scent of SparkFur "What is it Mario?" I mew to the tom when I walk out of my den into the slightly chilly breeze, "Just wondering if you are willing to hunt together tomorrow while chatting about the current situation?" My fur ruffled at the idea of the "situation".

 I glanced over to the apprentices den when I heard a crash "Ahh!" Mewed a voice from inside I couldn't help but chuckle as SwiftFeet walked out of the den triumphantly soon followed by a moss covered BrightPaw. "Next time get up" OwlFeather purred " WhiteFeather nodded to his Statement "And wash yourself off your covered in moss" She adds "I'm pretty sure SwiftFeet is my only mentor" BrightPaw mumbled before sitting down to clean himself off "But your hopeless without them" SwiftFeet chuckled as he dropped a small squirrel at his apprentices feet "Now hurry up and eat we have to get to training soon" He mumbled in between each bite of his vole.

"Xylo" SparkFur mewed as he flicked my side with his tail "Are you coming or not?" I nod "Will we bring any of the others?" I asked curiously "Just us and Mitch" He responds before flicking me in the side again "And you have to start acting like the leader of the clan even if they-" He glances at SwiftFeet, OwlFeather, WhiteFeather and BrightPaw as they finish their prey "Are the counsellors back at home you are the Leader of this clan, That is what MapleStar wanted when he made you deputy after CloudStep joined StarClan" He mumbled the last part sadly, I sighed sadly before standing up and walking to the fresh kill pile "I will try" I say loud enough for SparkFur to hear.

Picking up a mouse and a thrush I padded towards PoolPelts den "He's not in there" I turn my head to make eye contact with WolfKit "Hm?" I mumble my teeth muffled by the fur and feathers of the prey, "He went out to collect some herbs, Jakey went with him and Bryan and Collin went to do border patrol they might pick up some fresh kill on the way back"She adds, I nodded and put the fresh kill down in front of me before sitting down, "Well then would you like his piece of fresh kill Re?" I flicked my tail to gesture at the thrush, Her eyes light up "I'll get DoeKit and FeatherKit!" She mews excitedly while dashing back to the nursery, "Heh no one can help acting like a kit no matter the age" ViperTail chuckles as WolfKit races past her and SparkFur. After a couple seconds three kits emerge from the den and run strait towards me "Incoming!" FeatherKit mews happily as she starts skidding to a stop beside the thrush "Thanks Xylo!" DoeKit mews before joining the other kits in plucking the thrush, "No problem you three" I chuckle before starting to eat my own piece of fresh kill.
