I thought I'd give this little disclaimer to you guys before we begin. I am taking a few liberties here, seeing as this is such an extensive world with a mountain of possibilities. We're shown demons, even told about them through Tomoe's past, but they're rarely expounded upon in abilities and so on. Then there's the fact that while we know a certain white snakes past and have a glimpse of his mistress, it's not very expounded upon as well. As such, I've chosen a legend, but I've also chosen to put my own twist on the legend and their past.

I'm sure many of you have heard of the sacred spirit beasts before, either in a manga (a few come to mind) or just in myth. While I'm basing it off of them, not all facts will line up with the traditional legend. Feel free to comment when you notice this, but I figured I'd let you know now that I'm not going to worry that much about diverting from it.

Finally, this story is planned to have slow updates and is based mainly off the manga, with some influences from the anime. All rights belong to the author, of course, beyond my OCs and the things they bring with them.
