2 - Bunny Myth
There's no way there isn't mitsakes in this. I'm tired.
K bye

I thought Jazz was lying when he was talking about nukes. He was not.
Yuri had set up shop on the eighteenth floor. All of the other rooms on the floor were empty, which was good, in case one of his experiments went wrong. He had a giant room to himself where he worked, ate, and slept. We hardly ever saw him.
When we entered his room, we were immediately met with a cool breeze. I shivered, and looked around the place.
Yuri's old lab at the Rebel base was more simple. This one looked like it took a step into the future. The white quartz walls and diorite floor brightened the place up. The white tables were covered with papers, inventions, and potions. Bookshelves and cabinets were randomly placed around the room. As were chests, some opened and some closed. A large collection of furnaces, crafting tables, enchanting tables, anvils, and brewing stands were in the corner. His old rainbow sheep friend was walking around, chewing on any loose papers from the piles.
"Holy Notch," Infinity muttered, grabbing her sides. "It's colder than my heart in here."
"Hello, comrades!"
We all turned and saw Yuri walk into the room from another door carrying a box. He seemed particularly cheerful, which was worrying. I had a feeling it had to do with the nukes.
"Does your lab have to be this cold?" Skye asked.
He shrugged. "It doesn't feel chilly. Even so, the cold never bothered me anyway."
"Of course it doesn't." I sighed. "Okay, why did Jazz send us here?"
"I heard about nukes?" Gordon said excitedly.
Yuri set the box on a table. "Right." He walked over to a brewing set up on another desk. "Yes, you heard right."
"Please tell me you didn't make one." Jake said slowly.
He chuckled. "I am flattered. You think I'm that good. I haven't made one... yet."
"Yet?"
"I'll need Notch's godliness to help me with the progress, and of course his approval. I'd also need an obsidian room, and a lot of TNT."
"I can cover the last one!" Gordon raised his hand.
"No." Abby pushed his hand down. "Are you going to tell us why you want to turn this into nuclear warfare?"
He took out a water bottle, and put it in the brewing stand. As he sprinkled some sort of dust into the bottle, he answered, "Why not? The entire mob army base is inside the Nether. We can drop one down and get out of there through a portal. Boom. Army gone."
"I think you're getting a little excited from all these toys." I frowned.
"Maybe letting the council give him them was a bad idea." Jona said.
"Nonsense." Yuri took out a piece of raw steak. He pulled out an iron sword, and chopped a little piece off the beef. He put away his sword, and let the meat sink into the bottle. "There we go." He held up the blood red potion. "Who wants to try it?"
"What does it do?" Abby asked, pushing Gordon's hand down yet again.
"I have no idea!" Yuri grinned.
"Yep. He's crazy." Mastermind whispered.
"I heard that." Yuri narrowed his eyes. "Anyway, I can assure you I am fully functional, and my idea could work. I just need the supplies."
"As great as it would be to wipe out his army of mobs just like that," I hit the nearest table with my hand, "I don't think many people would approve of Notch going nuclear. He's more of the pacifist type."
"Even though he's fighting in a war." Elly said from the corner where her and Jazz were experimenting with potions. So far, Jazz was turning blue, and Elly's hair was defying gravity.
Jake countered, "He had no choice in the matter. It was either war, or surrender to Herobrine. And the second one will never be an option."
She shrugged, and splashed a green potion on herself and Jazz. They both started to burp uncontrollably.
"I see your point." Yuri sighed, walking over an opened chest. He took out another potion. "I don't like it, but I understand." He went over to Elly and Jazz, and splashed the potion on them. All of the effects on them immediately went away. "However, I am still going to try to pitch it to Notch."
"Don't be surprised if he says no."
"I'm sure I could convince Steve to be on my side in this case."
"You know that's wrong." I said in a low voice. "They argue over every little thing nowadays— they even argued over whether potatoes or carrots were better. This will not turn into another one."
"Looks like someone is being assertive." Yuri remarked. "Very well. I won't go to Steve, only to the other bald man."
"Hey bro," Gordon sauntered over to him, "if you still need that TNT, I know a guy."
"Quit making friends!" Abby snapped.

Blood.
Death.
Wounded lay everywhere, allies and enemies. The remaining people continued fighting, but the death total was on the rise.
I charged forward and sliced a skeleton in half. Without looking, I stabbed behind me, impaling a zombie who tried to sneak up on me.
An arrow whizzed past me. The owner belonged to a Bladville soldier who sprinted toward me with his diamond sword now out.
I felt a ping of guilt as we crossed blades. I hated to fight the other minecraftians— the ones who were practically brainwashed into battle.
I ducked his swing, and moved to the left. Before he could react, I smashed the tip of my sword hilt onto his head. He crumbled to the ground, unconscious.
"Good work."
Jake appeared next to me, fully armored and holding a diamond sword as well. He kicked away a spider, and stabbed it in mid air when it lunged at him.
"Are we winning yet?" I breathed out.
"Can't tell. Have you seen anyone else?"
I shook my head. I hadn't seen any of our friends. In fact, I hadn't seen a single person I recognized. They were all just blank faces beneath helmets.
"Well we need to find—" All of a sudden, he stopped talking.
I turned toward him, and gasped. A sword point appeared in his stomach, somehow piercing through his armor. He stared at it as it retracted, and looked up at me. Blood started to pour out of the wound. He stood still for a second, then collapsed to the ground.
"Jake!" I cried.
The person who stabbed him laughed. I recognized his smug face. Shade. One of Herobrine's powerful men. He was wearing dark colored armor made of a material that I did not recognize. Maybe obsidian?
I brought my sword down, determined to end him. He blocked it, still with his eyes closed. When he opened them, they were pure white.
I stumbled back in surprise, dropping my sword. "Leave me alone!" I spluttered out.
He started laughing again. I tripped, falling backwards. I expected to feel the ground, but instead, I fell through a hole. I plummeted through the earth, looking up at the surface. It was the only light in my vision for a few seconds until I was in full darkness. The laughter remained, but it started to change, as if it belonged to a new person.
There was a hard surface pushing against my back. Then, against my outspread arms. It started to get smaller and smaller, squishing me. My arms were shoved to my side, and my knees bent upwards to my chest. I started to hurt everywhere. Just when my ribs were about to be crushed...
I jerked upward in bed with a gasp for air. My breathing was heavy, and I was in a cold sweat. My eyes only saw darkness for a second which made me start to panic. However, I remembered that it was nighttime— I was in my room.
I rubbed my hands on my face and pulled my legs closer into a crisscross position. When I realized that that wasn't going to calm me down, I got up out of bed, and walked across my room toward the balcony.
I opened the door. The fresh air immediately made me feel better. The view also helped. I had Notch City spread out in front of me. The building we were living in was right by the town hall, around two-thirds the size of it. Despite that, we were still in one of the tallest buildings, so I could see a lot. Many buildings still had lights on, and the stars were visible. The crescent moon shone brightly.
I exhaled, finally controlling my heavy breathing. That nightmare was one of the worst. Usually the dreams would only contain parts of what it had, but this one was a real slap to the face.
"Just nervous..." I tried to convince myself. I tried to think that it was because of the interview the next day.
Notch said I should do it. Earn publicity. Remind the other cities that we are the good guys. Whether he wanted us to know or not, we were aware that Notch was concerned that other cities would join Herobrine as well. Therefore, I had to go on the show and act like a perfect figurehead.
Yes, I was nervous about it. We had practiced having me answer questions, but we had no idea what Odette was planning. I was okay with being nervous, though. It was better to have stage fright than be stressed about a whole war.
I stared at the city for a few minutes. Jewel eventually left her little woolen bed and came to comfort me. I was always worried about having her on the balcony. She tended to jump over things, and we were high up. I knew there was a myth about cats landing on their feet, but I wasn't sure if bunnies were included in that myth.
"Come on." I nudged her gently with my foot. We both walked back into my room, and I shut the door behind me.

"Make way!"
I moved out of the way as an intern with a mountain of drinks was walking through. I bumped into a guy who was on his phone. Even though I apologized, he glared at me.
"I never thought this kind of business was so..."
"Intense?" Jake finished my sentence.
I nodded, and looked around at the backstage area. People were rushing around everywhere. The main people in charge were near the actual stage, talking with Odette Von Holt.
The woman looked like she was born to be on live television. She had the movie star curly blonde hair, blue eyes, and perfect makeup. She wore a long sleeve royal blue dress with matching heels. The look on her face hardly changed; it remained intense and focused as she spoke with one of the other people.
"I'm scared." I whispered.
Jake squeezed my hand. "You're going to be fine."
I was glad I brought him. I was allowed to bring one other person with me backstage. I chose Jake. I was glad he was by me to comfort me. Plus, after that nightmare, I wanted him close to me. It felt so real; it was like I was attempting to protect him.
"If you don't know the answer to something, just answer it with another question. If it's too personal, just joke around. That stuff works if you want to change the subject."
"How do you know so much about this?" I asked.
"It's pretty similar to meetings back at the..."
I knew he was going to say 'army base'. Ever since it was destroyed, the topic had been touchy. Only half the members made it out alive.
"Yeah." I didn't want him to try to continue. "I understand."
"Katherine!" Odette Von Holt finally noticed me. She strolled over with her arms spread as if she was going to hug me. Which is exactly what she did. When she reached us, she wrapped me in a loose hug, but I didn't return it. That didn't seem to bother her.
"Look at you!" She had a big smile on her face. "Oh, I knew you were only a teenager, but it's still hard to believe it! You are so young, so beautiful. What a true hero! And you..." she turned to Jake. "You must be Jake! You two are the cutest couple I have ever seen!"
"Nice to meet you." I gave her a smile to satisfy her.
"I bet." She bursted into laughter. "I'm only joking. Anyway, we are about to go on. Do you know what you need to do?"
"Um..."
"When your name is called, all you do is go on stage and sit down. Answer the questions I give with the juiciest answers you have. Smile, laugh with me, and don't get all serious. We hate that. Got it?"
I blinked, and nodded. "Yes ma'am."
"Oh." She waved her hand. "Call me Odette."
"Only if you call me Kat." I joked with her.
"I knew you'd be funny!" She giggled. All of a sudden, her name was called. "Oops, I have to go. Can't wait to see you out there!" She walked away without waiting for a response.
"She was..." I started.
Jake finished for me, "Bubbly."
"Not exactly what I was going for, but that works too."
From where the live crowd was, a large uproar was heard.
"Katherine Moone!" One of the men near the stage hissed.
"Good luck." Jake whispered to me.
"Thank you." I mouthed at him, and walked to my doom.
"When your name is called, just walk out there. Smile and wave at the crowd." Someone told me.
"Are things always this crazy?" I asked.
"You have no idea." He groaned.
"And now," I heard Odette on the stage. I have a very special guest. She's the daughter of Notch, and everyone's favorite teenager... Katherine Moone!"
I was so sick of everyone calling me by my full name. However, I put on a smile, and walked into the stage.
The first thing I noticed was the bright lights. After I blinked a few times, I managed to see where I was going. I was on a wooden stage, heading toward two leather couches facing diagonally with a birch and glass table in between them. On the table was a flower vase to make the place look nice. Odette was sitting on the couch facing me.
I turned to the crowd and waved. There were elevated rows of people clapping for me. In the front row were all of my friends, minus the council, Notch, and Steve. They said that they didn't want to steal the spotlight, but I had a feeling that they just didn't want to be around this sort of place. Infinity, Gordon, and Jazz were clapping and cheering the loudest.
"Nice to finally see you, Katherine." Odette said as I sat down.
"Come on, Odette. We're all friends here. Call me Kat." I gave it another try.
"Right you are." She beamed. "So Kat, I'm just going to get right to the punchline. It was recently reported that you are Notch's daughter."
"It was reported, that is true." I replied vaguely.
"It is true, right?"
I looked at all my friends. Then, I asked, "Why would we lie?"
"Unbelievable." Odette shook her head. "It's hard to believe that you're part god. After all, you're only a kid."
"Well, that's usually a phase all people go through."
"Right you are!" She laughed along with the audience. "So you're half god. That's exciting, right? It must have its perks."
"Not really." I shrugged. "Just better endurance, stuff like that."
"What about being so famous?"
"To be completely honest, I don't like to be followed around by cameras all the time."
"Oh." I could tell she wanted me to continue. "Well, what about your other half? There must be a mother, right?"
I remembered Jake's advice. "Shouldn't there be? I mean, I may have lost some memories for a while, but I kind of know how this stuff works."
The audience laughed again. This time, Odette didn't laugh along. "Yes, yes that's true. Do you know who it is?"
"Not at the moment." I leaned back, getting myself comfortable. "We're still catching up. After all this time, we need it."
"Father-daughter picnics, eh?" She chuckled at her own joke, but no one joined her. She cleared her throat awkwardly. "And how did the 'time' actually go? Tell us about your past."
I searched my brain for an answer. "We don't really need that. The past is behind us. Right now, my attention is on the present and on bettering the future."
"WOO!" Infinity exclaimed, which caused some clapping.
"That's fair." Odette's smile looked more strained. "We'd like to get to know the girl behind the title, though."
She was struggling for more content. I couldn't give it to her, though. I looked around the audience for an excuse to change the subject. Then, I glanced at Jake. He tapped his wrist. Time's up.
I didn't need to play with her anymore. I decided to focus on the real reason why I was there. "I'll tell you who the girl behind the title is. The girl behind the title is a teenager who's fighting for a bigger cause. She came from a troubled past, but she's going to work hard for a better future. She's going to keep at this war and give it everything she has. She's going to fight for what she believes in: a world with freedom and prosperity." I smiled at a camera innocently. "And she has no time for silly gossip."
The whole place was silent. Even my friends said nothing.
Odette's mouth was slightly opened. Finally, she swallowed. "We'll be right back after this commercial break."
