Day 3 (Part 2)

Badgerstrike had was curled up close to Berrytuft. The older warrior had dropped with exhaustion as soon as they hit the forest ground that was now covered in a thin white sheet. Badgerstrike didn't know what drove him to stay with Berrytuft, maybe survivors guilt. Since Berrytuft had saved him before Snowfrost. Memories of his mother flooded back to him.

There she was on screen running for her life from a mutt. Badgerstrike could hear his sister Mousetuft choked cry ring throughout all of district five. He remembered holding her as she sobbed into his chest.

Badgerstrike opened his eyes. He was here to win. To avenge his mother. Others might doubt him because he was Stonepelts son but he'd prove them all wrong. Stonepelt was a strong warrior and he would be as well.

The large white warrior began to stir beside him. Badgerstrike began to lift himself up.

"Owleye disappeared. His trail goes deep into the forest. The Dreaders are a broken group." Badgerstrike began but Berrytuft didn't seem to be listening.

The older warrior was staring out among the now frozen lake, his eyes filled with sadness.

Badgerstrike couldn't help but feel pain at watching the once strong and reasonable warrior now broken. Badgersrtike laid his tail on Berrytufts back and kneeled his forehead down placing it against Berrytufts temple.

"You saved me and you didn't have to. I just wish you luck brother," Badgerstrike spoke as serious as possible before rising to his hind paws and walking into the crisp cold forest.

Stormthistle could feel her body slowly freezing but couldn't pinpoint the freezing. The Timberbee venom hadn't yet stopped her breathing but the constant and unnerving pain was unbearable. A face suddenly appeared above hers. The light grey and orange pelt was familiar but Stormthistle couldn't place a name. Next came a voice as sweet as honey.

"I found you some herbs for the sting...it won't stop you from passing...it'll just make it easier. Less painful."

Stormthistle could feel tears well up in her eyes. Starclan thank you. Stormthistle watched as the young she-cat sliced some kind of berry open and held it over Stormthistles mouth letting the juice run down. Suddenly Stormthistle could feel her forepaws and for a heartbeat she could feel the warm supportive squeeze of the grey and orange cats forepaw.

"Thank you..." Stormthistle breathed out before...

BOOM!

Silverstorm flinched at the sound of the canon. She had done the best she could to end Stormthistles pain. This morning she had woken to find Shadowfur gone and had waited what seemed like a lifetime before finally scaling down the tree. It had begun to snow while Silverstorm was following Shadowfur's scent trail. Thats when Silverstorm heard the voices. They were talking about the cornicopia being flooded by water. Silverstorm had followed them to see if she could find anything out about the Dreaders but no luck. Thats when Mousesnarl attacked Wonderingwind and Stormthistle. When Silverstorm saw the Timberbee she immediately rushed to find some deathberries. There was no cure for Timberbee venom but deathberries allowed the paralyzation to stop for a couple heartbeats before the host died.

Now she was all alone in this blizzard. Her stomach began to growl. Hunting wasn't an option soon enough the snow would be high enough to where her paws would leave tracks in the snow.

Silverstorm looked up. She had to climb another tree.

Owleye began to make himself comfortable near the lake. Now he didn't have to share and could wait this whole game out. Besides the hidden area was blocking out most of the snow drift because of the overhanging tree branches and the heavy brambles.

Suddenly out of nowhere a cat rolled over him sloppily and rose back to its four paws and began running. It all happened so fast Owleye barely got a glimpse of the cat but immediately could recognize the fear scent drifting from him. Badgerstrike?

Suddenly there was a harsh thunk I'm the back of Owleyes head. Owleye barely turned to see his attack when another whack happened. Owleye could feel his head reeling as he squinted to see a huge blurred warrior. Was Badgerstrike running from this warrior? Another thunk.

BOOM!

Biohazard jerked from the sound of the second canon. She had stayed hidden in her makeshift hollow keeping warm from the snow but now was debating leaving. If a terror or dreader caught her here she had no room to escape. She'd be dead in a heartbeat.

Slowly Biohazard reached her paw outside the hollow and looked around before stepping out into the freezing cold. The wind didn't help to make it warmer.

Biohazard began her trek to wherever was safer...which would be hard considering this was the warriors games.

Yet on she walked lowering onto all fours so the wind would stop smacking at her exposed stomach. Suddenly she saw a large white blob standing in the distance. It was too tall to be piled up snow already.

Biohazard walked closer to investigate. The closer she came the more she could see. It was Berrytuft, a dreader, looking down into a hole in the ground that was spurting black water. Wasn't the cornucopia here? It seemed now to be a frozen lake.

Suddenly Berrytuft stepped out into the black hole and began sinking down.

Biohazard snapped into action racing across the ice and grabbing the tom by his neck tuft and pulling him back up with her forepaws.

Berrytufts soaking fur smacked against the ice.

"Please let me...die." the tom mumbled in a ragged exhausted tone before passing out.

Biohazard huffed staring at the tom. He was handsome and seemingly strong. A cat that had the appearance of a winner, a cat who could make it. Biohazard set her mind straight. She wasn't going to let this tom give up so easily and watch him die. She'd protect him until he regained his mental stability. She owed it to Sagebramble to be there for a warrior in need.

Biohazard grabbed the bigger tom and began hauling him with all her might back to her makeshift hollow.

Mousesnarl was about to cut her ears off. Barbwire had been bickering to Ripplenewt about starclan knows what. It was beginning to distract her from finding shelter. Supplement had already caught two snowhares, but good wasn't what they needed. They had enough. They needed shelter before this snow storm got worse and Mousesnarl needed a plan to get rid of them both.

Lilytoad had been able to escape the lake and began to run soaking wet through the winds of snow. Her body going into a sudden chill shock so bad Lilytoaf could feel her paws going numb. She needed to get warm but there was no where to hide from the perilous snow. With no other option lilytoad curled up near a tall oak shivering so bad her teeth began to chatter.

Suddenly a heaviness began to pull her eyelids shut. The next moment they were open and the whole arena was basked in golden light. It was warm now like a nice green leaf day. A golden warrior made from stars was dancing in the sky above Lilytoad and reached its forepaw down to Lilytoads. Lilytoad went and reached her Fonepad out cleaning it against the starry warrior her began to pull her up. Lilytoad felt a massive weight pulled from her and for some reason began to dance along with the warrior unaware of her lifeless body that had remained by the oak tree.

BOOM!
