Chapter 6

It was something very unusual of Aarti to welcome her friends.....they were standing in front of her and Aarti seemed all lost in her thoughts......

"Aarti!!!..." Sheetal shouted in her ear......

Aarti jumped up from her bed..... "good you came.....get ready fast..."

Kavita and Sheetal looked shockingly at her "but....we are tired.....don't feel like going now...."

"I am not asking you......I am telling you to come with me....i want to show you someone...." Aarti looked for her sandals......

Sheetal and Kavita looked in despair...... they knew Aarti was really stubborn and it was impossible to say no to her......

"fine....but where are we going...??" Kavita kept her bag on the bed......

Aarti smiled....and pulled them out of the room......towards the gates of the hostel......

"where are we going Sheetal??" Kavita raised her eyebrow....

Sheetal looked at her "why do you ask....???"

Few minutes later Sheetal and Kavita saw Aarti glancing around the whole college campus as if she was scanning something.....

"are you looking for someone??" Sheetal asked tiredly....

Aarti's frown turned into smile when she heard someone beating near the huge arts building.....

Sheetal turned around towards the crowd.... "this college seems violent....."

"yes....and someone's beating those guys...." Kavita walked slowly behind Sheetal..... who saw Aarti walking happily towards the crowd.....

"get aside please.....come on....get aside...." Aarti kept on saying to every person blocking her way ....

She was lost in him....... She saw his strong body hitting four boys all together...

Aarti was least bothered about the fight...her eyes were fixed on the handsome boy...his fair forehead was now covered with sweat...he took off his jacket and flung it on the ground...

Aarti looked at his angry features......her heart skipped a beat....she wanted to hug him.....

Sheetal and Kavita somehow reached near the scene..... "Aarti...lets go from here...." They whispered....

"yes look its too dangerous...these boys are violent..."

"no......first tell me how's my choice??" Aarti asked happily....

"choice!!!...which one???" both asked shockingly......

"who else.....my hero....whose beating all these zeros...."

"What???" Sheetal saw Veer brutally beating four boys in one row...... he looked strong....he was extremely handsome.....but they wondered how could Aarti fall for him when she always wanted someone nice and polite.... "Aarti....are you alright???"

"why ???"

"because you wanted someone exactly different than him" Kavita answered....

But Aarti was least bothered and started walking towards him...as the big fight seemed almost finished...

Sameer went for the first aid box for Veer...

Aarti shouted in excitement.... "wow.....one punch here and one punch there......"

Veer turned around to look at her..... he wasn't surprised at Aarti who was gazing at him......

Sheetal and Kavita thought of leaving back to the hostel...... "we are going Aarti"

"yes fine..."

The moment Sheetal turned around....she banged into Sameer..... who smiled at her......

"I am sorry" she said politely....

"but I am not" Sameer winked at her..... Sheetal made a frown...and walked away.....

"I like her...." Sameer smiled at her while Sheetal was far too scared ...

Sameer saw Veer who was fed up listening to Aarti.....

----- "and one more punch.....you are awesome.....my God....how do you beat these boys...." Aarti looked into his eyes but he tried to escape her.....

"listen.....don't bother me" Veer pointed towards her head.....

She hold his finger..... "what will you do if I keep bothering you??"

"I will forget you are a girl....." he said angrily.....

"Veer" Sameer looked at Aarti who didn't seemed to be affected by Veer's rude behaviour...

"give me the box..." Veer walked away from there leaving Aarti standing and dreaming about him...

She closed her eyes and imagined him close to her...

It was almost evening and Kirti was still sitting with Vikram in the library... she met him after almost two years... they were walking outside the gate when Vikram saw Aarti standing still near the arts building... "Kirti...look there..."

Kirti turned towards her right to see her sister standing like a statue... "Aarti!!!...but what is she doing here...and at this time"

Vikram and Kirti looked at Aarti who was smiling and standing still with her eyes closed...

Kirti was annoyed with her "Aarti..." she shouted... "what the hell is wrong with you??"

Aarti took a deep breathe... "i was looking for him"

Kirti wanted to slap her "Vikram she has lost her brains...the moment she entered this college, she's talking so weirdly...

"Kirti...its late...you just take her to the hostel...i will talk to you tomorrow...and take care of her..." Vikram hugged her and left from there...

Kirti pulled Aarti towards the gates... "i must send you back to Bathinda...you are so embarrassing..."

Next Day...

Veer was called in by the principal for his fight...the only reason why he wasn't expelled from the college was that his Father was the trusty of the college and Principal had very good relations with him...

"come in Veer...you know why i called you??"

Veer didn't had any regrets... "those boys were from outside...and they were disturbing the college students..."

The principal knew Veer always fought for right... "i know Veer...but everyday you end up fighting with some one or the other...next time i don't want to see you fighting...just mind your own business..."

Aarti was looking for Veer... all her thoughts ended on him...she forgot everything around her...

She knew Veer would never come to her... she thought something...

She asked Sheetal to help her...

"Aarti...how can i...i mean what if he finds out that i am lying...??" Sheetal asked worriedly... "and he seems too angry all the time"

"you just do as i tell you...i am sure he will understand how much i love him..." Aarti smiled mischievously...

Sheetal was scared...but she thought of somehow informing him... she was still thinking when she banged into Sameer... he smiled at her... "hi..."

She thought of taking his help "hi ..."

After some time...

"Veer...where were you??" Sameer asked...

Veer opened the bandage and walked towards the canteen ...

"Veer...there's a big fight...outside...i mean someone has called you near the forest..." Sameer said... though he knew the truth...

Veer thought it be the same boys who messed with him yesterday... "bas***ds...i won't leave them..."

He rushed outside the gates... towards the forests... but to his surprise...he couldn't see anyone... it was silence all around...except for some birds chirruping around... he was about to leave when Aarti hold his hand...

He turned around... his frown would have been enough to scare her but she didn't leave his hand...instead she curled her arms around his neck...

Veer angrily shrugged her off... she pulled him again "Veer..." and hugged him from behind... "please listen to me..." ...

He looked into her eyes... "you listen to me...and next time don't play this prank..."

She saw him walking away... "you can't go like this"...

She rushed after him...and it was too late for him to realize when she kissed him all over the face... he closed his eyes...for few seconds he felt different... his arm curled around her waist tightly almost making her wince... she closed her eyes waiting for him to kiss her...

But after those few seconds he opened his eyes and pushed her back...

"this is the last time i am tolerating you...stay away from me..." he said angrily while Aarti looked with moist eyes...

It was impossible for Aarti to melt him...

Chapter 7

It was a bright sunny day, students were busy attending classes...

"oh no...another boring lecture..." prompted Sheetal who was hungry since morning...she remembered how she tackled Aarti since yesterday...she knew it was impossible to make Aarti understand that she cannot convince Veer and she was far too stubborn...Sheetal looked at Kavita who was busy taking the notes "lets get something to eat... I am starving since morning..."

Kavita took off her glasses "why didn't you had your breakfast?"

Sheetal kept her hand on her head... "leave it...you won't understand..."

Kavita always followed a routine...she woke up on time...she was different and much organised than her friends... "alright lets go"...

Sheetal dialed Aarti's no ... "come on Aarti wake up now...look at the time"...

"stop calling me Sheetal...please let me sleep...you know i had a sleepless night..." Aarti responded and turned off her phone...

Sheetal wasn't surprised at Aarti's reply...but she knew how to wake her up... Sheetal smiled...

"Veer is here in the canteen...if you want to come..." Sheetal disconnected the phone and smiled... "now you see how Aarti will come running..."

Sameer was walking down the corridors when he spotted Sheetal...there was something charming about her that he found himself falling for her...she was just like any other girl next door...with light blue suit salwar she looked simple and pretty...her simplicity made Sameer go frenzy...

some mischievious boys filled up the pool of water just next to the canteen...

"i hate these boys...everytime they come up with some prank" said one of the girls standing in the crowd...

"i know...and now they may end up throwing someone in that pool..." said another girl...

Arjun and Uday threw Nakul in the pool...there were roars of laughter all around... Nakul came out of the pool...he was angry " i will tell Veer...you all just wait"...

Arjun laughed "really???...you think Veer has time for this nonsense..."...

Sameer followed Sheetal towards the canteen...when he saw his friends laughing...

"Sheetal..." he called out...

She turned around...to her surprise he was coming towards her... "yes..."

"i never knew i will fall in love with you" Sameer said coming more closer scaring Sheetal...

She was quiet for some time... " please let me go"...

"i don't think i am stopping you"...he replied back...

Before she could say anything he picked her up and threw in the pool of water...

"ouch"... She shouted...

Kavita stared at Arjun who was laughing out loudly... "excuse me"

Arjun looked at her " yes"

"don't you have manners?"...Kavita said angrily...

"well i didn't throw her...it was..." Arjun was about to complete when Kavita blasted at him...

"so this is what you do with new students...i will give a written complaint to the higher authorities..."

"but i didn't do anything" Arjun said with innocent face...

Kavita came closer "don't you utter a word"...she turned and looked at her friend...but Sameer already pulled her out...

Sheetal stared at him "leave my hand..."

Sameer smiled "no...i won't"

Sheetal felt embarrased ...all her clothes were wet... She somehow managed to leave his hand and reach outside the gates when Sameer hold her from behind...

She didn't remember when he hugged her...her cold body felt his warmth against her...she closed her eyes and felt his hands running around her back...

It was only after few seconds that she pulled herself away from his grip...and ran towards the hostel...

" if your friend doesn't have a problem...why do you have ??" Arjun and Kavita were still argueing with each other when they saw Sameer coming towards them...he was smiling... Kavita made a face a walked away...

Arjun smiled at his friend who seemed changed... "what happened ???"

Sameer looked up "i am in love"...

Aarti was getting ready when she saw Sheetal entered the room and lay on her bed...it seemed as if she had been running...

Aarti came towards her... "what happened ???"

Aarti saw Sheetal all wet...and her cheeks all red...

Sheetal looked at Aarti "i don't know...i am confused"

Aarti frowned...then smiled... "are you in love??"...

Next Day

Veer was driving with Santram to get the groceries as his usual punishment... Santram looked at him...as usual he had a big frown knitting his forehead...he didn't remember when last time he had seen Veer smiling... "Veer beta...drive slowly...you know the rules here"... Said Santram...

Veer looked straight while driving... "don't worry...and regarding rules...Veer makes his own rules...i will turn where ever i want to..."

Santram knew he was as brave as lion...so solid as rock ...and so aggressive... He thought about the girl who will enter Veer's life... "God save her"...

Chapter 8

Sameer was happy...he knew Sheetal would come and talk to him...on the other side Arjun was not so happy with Kavita...he didn't wanted to see her again or even talk to her...

"Sheetal must be good...but i didn't like her friend...she was too over reacting..." Arjun said while looking at other girls standing near the pool...

"don't even think about throwing them in the pool..." Sameer laughed...

Rishabh was still looking for Aarti...he wanted to take revenge since the first day she insulted him in front of the entire college...

Aarti watched Sheetal carefully " who is the boy???..."

Sheetal was about to speak when Aarti interrupted "wait...i hope its anyone...but not my Veer..."

"come on Aarti...its not at all Veer...you are only one who can be mad for him" Sheetal walked towards the bathroom...

Aarti smiled... " i know i am mad for him...but you don't know...he's so addictive...i am waiting for the day he will kiss me wildly..."

"how do you know it would be wild" Sheetal responded from the bathroom...

" you don't know anything...he's so strong and when he hold me tightly ...even though it was painful, i loved it"... Aarti said softly...

"now get ready ...we have important class to attend..." Sheetal brushed her hair...

"i am all ready lets go..." Aarti said while wearing her shoes...

Sheetal looked at Aarti who was wearing a pink top and blue shorts...with loose hair touching her back... "you think Veer will like you like this..."

Aarti looked herself in the mirror "it doesn't matter Sheetal...he will still ignore me..." Said Aarti sadly...

Sheetal cheered her friend "don't worry...one day he will gaze you lovingly..."...

Aarti smiled and both friends walked towards the college...

Kirti looked at Vikram who was busy exercising... "Vikram...how much time will you take...now lets go...you said you will take me out for some sight seeing..."

"Kirti...not today...i said on Saturday...now please let me exercise..." Vikram picked up the weights next to him...

" no way...we are going today...please Vikram..." Kirti requested...

They were still talking when Sameer, Uday and Arjun laughed "Vikram you must go"... Said Sameer who laughed with his friends...

Vikram kept the weights on the ground and stepped towards them... Kirti made a angry face...

"what were you saying ???" Vikram stared angrily at Sameer... He lifted his hand to punch Sameer on the face when someone stopped his hand...

"Veer...you shouldn't come in between me and your friend" smirked Vikram...

"fight must be with someone equal or above you... And there isn't a single hand that can hit my friend...you have to come through me before reaching my friends..." Veer said furiously...

"fine then..." Vikram raised his hand to hit Veer when he heard his name..

"Vikram...stop it" Aarti yelled...

Kirti walked angrily towards Aarti... "Aarti... Vikram is not saying anything to you because of me...and how could you talk to him like that..."...

"that's it...Kirti i am least bothered in anything else...but i can't see anyone coming towards my Veer" Aarti pointed at Kirti...

"my Veer !!!!!...so when did you started your relationship"

Kirti asked Aarti...

Veer and Vikram watched two sisters fighting...they nodded their heads and walked away...

"i will tell mom dad...before you say anything..." said Aarti...

Kirti wanted to pull her hair " listen Aarti...you are getting on my nerves now...i don't want to talk to you"

"even i am not interested" Aarti said and both walked towards the opposite direction...

Sheetal looked at Aarti who walked away... "Aarti...we have to attend the class"...

Aarti didn't listen and went away...while Sheetal was about to leave when she felt Sameer's hand gripped around her wrist... "where are you going...let them fight"

Sheetal nervously looked the other way "please Sameer...let me go"

"on one condition"

"what??"Sheetal asked ...

" you will meet me in the evening..."

Sheetal smiled and shyly walked away...

Aarti was walking angrily without looking around...suddenly she felt someone lifting her...without giving her any time to recall what was happening with her...she found herself in the pool of water...

Rishabh and his friends laughed while Aarti rubbed her eyes to clearly view around... "you swine" Aarti shouted while the boys walked away laughing at her...

Aarti saw some boys staring at her...she looked at herself...her pink top was all wet...she felt the hooks of her bra opened...she felt bad... She was still thinking about her condition when she saw Veer coming with his gang... "Veer...please help me"... She started shouting...

Veer looked at her ...she seemed fine...but she was shouting for help and it was his first priority to help ...he came closer and saw every boy looking at her... Then he saw her wet clothes that revealed her fair skin... He gave his hand...

The moment Aarti hold his hand...she was lost in him... He took off his jacket and wrapped around her... " wear this"...

Aarti was happy...but she knew Veer won't hold her hand for longer ...as she was coming out...she fainted on the ground and started shivering...

Everyone thought she needed help... "Veer i think you must drop her to her hostel..." Sameer said ...

Veer looked confused... "but how can i..."

"it won't take much time...she must be ill" Uday added...

Veer agreed with his friends and lifted Aarti in his arms...

He walked out of the gates when Aarti opened one eye...then smiled...and opened another eye...she couldn't control laughing...

Veer stared at her and dropped her on the ground... "give my jacket back"

"ouch...my bum..." Aarti got up and rubbed her back with one hand...

Then she cuddled with his jacket "no...i can't"

Veer was getting more angry now "will you give it back or not"

Aarti smiled... "no no no..." she said and ran towards the other side of the path that followed the deep forest...

Veer angrily followed her... " i will teach you a lesson this time"

Chapter 9

Veer couldn't locate her anywhere unless after few seconds he heard some noise behind a tree... Frowning angrily he walked towards the tree..he wondered if she was mad...he thought again...he took another step when he saw her standing against the tree with her hands at her back...what was she trying to do"i am trying to hook my bra" Aarti whispered while looking at his puzzled features...

It was impossible for Veer to think of any solution...he seemed all confused...should he ask for his jacket...she was impossible...he came to teach her a lesson and here she's coming up with her problems...

"will you help me hook my bra please" she said innocently...

"stop it" he burst angrily...

"don't you have anything else...rather than frustrating me" he was about to leave...

She took off the jacket...and stepped closer... "won't you help a girl in need???...please Veer...i know it is frustrating...but i can't go like this...please...its just a hook..."

That was not easy for Veer...he was angry...but then he saw her innocent face...she was pleading him...if she wanted his help, why is he having a problem...he thought...

"do it yourself..." he said while dusting his jacket...

"please Veer...how can you leave a girl in need...please look at my clothes...and i can't hook it myself...please..." Aarti was about to cry... She looked miserable...

Veer didn't knew what to do...but he thought of helping her... "fine...but what do i have to do??"

"nothing...just lift my top and hook my bra...its not that difficult" she said ...though she smiled inside...

Veer was rather in a difficult state...he had always fought...beaten people ...but that was much easier then helping Aarti...

He came behind her...Aarti closed her eyes...as she could feel his hands lifting her top... She wanted to hug him...but she controlled...she bit her lower lip...

"what should i..." Veer didn't look at her back...instead he faced the other side...

"if you look at the straps of my bra...you will be able to see..." she smiled mischievously...

Veer unwillingly looked at her fair back...her glowing skin...she had a beautiful back... He tried to lift the top and saw the straps of her bra hanging loose around her skin...

The moment his fingers touched skin...Aarti closed her eyes...his touch was tormenting her...she felt like an electric current touching her skin...

He slowly hold the straps with his hands and tried to hook them... "now how should i..."

Veer seemed all confused... Aarti was enjoying each and every moment...she loved his touch...

Veer saw one hook on one side of the strap and an eye on the other strap...

Aarti was still in a dreamland when he looked at her... "next time don't call me for help"

Aarti smiled while Veer walked away annoyingly...

"i know you will think about me..." Aarti was overjoyed...

Uday and Sameer were waiting for Veer...it was almost evening... "what is taking Veer so long??"

Arjun was surprised "well i still can't believe that Veer went to drop a girl in her hostel"

Uday "its true...and who knows Veer may fall in love with her"

"this will never happen" replied Veer angrily...

Sameer and Uday looked at their angry friend who had no place for emotions in his life...

"what took you so long...did you drop her to her room?" Said Uday who was trying to guess the confused expressions on Veer's face...

Veer was quiet...how should he tell them what was he doing... "no and don't ask me again" he looked rather irritated...

"girls are a nuisance...hopeless and difficult to handle" said Arjun...he opened a bottle of soft drink...

"Veer you must have some drink and relax" Arjun offered the drink to Veer...

Sameer was looking at his watch again...

"this must be the 50th time you are looking at your watch" Arjun said while gulping...

"Sameer...stop wasting your time" Veer said while throwing the bottle away...

Sameer looked at his friends who were the biggest enemies of beautiful girls... "you all are too much...i mean why do you think girls can be a pain"

Veer nodded his head "look at you...you are least bothered about anything else in this whole world...and i bet you will soon go mad"

Sameer smiled... "well can't say anything right now...i am getting late...will catch you all later"

Veer and Arjun weren't happy... "God save him"

Sheetal was getting ready when she saw Aarti entered the room...

"lala...hmmm...nanananana" Aarti was singing in love...

Kirti made a bad face... "why are you wet??"

Aarti crossed her arms... "i am coming from a pool of love...my beloved gave me his warmth and made me wet" she opened her cupboard to change her clothes...

Kirti watched her sister who was smiling in her own world... " you know what Aarti...you have lost your senses"

Aarti turned at Kirti "why are you worried...i have lost my senses...you have all your senses in right order"

Kirti nodded her head and picked up a magazine...

" hey Sheetal...where are you going??" Aarti asked while touching her dupatta...

Sheetal looked shyly... "going to meet someone..."

Aarti teased her "oh really...hmmm...but Sheetal what will you do??"

"do what??? I mean what do you mean???" Sheetal asked curiously...

Aarti smiled and took her dupatta... "well..well, as far as i know you...you will sit with a dupatta over your head and keep shying..."

Kavita picked up another pen from her table... "stop it both of you...and Sheetal you must stay away from these boys...they are idiots who only want a girlfriend for there sweet selfishness"

"if Veer loves me for that sweet selfishness...i would happily give him what he wants...but..." Aarti responded...

Kirti looked at Aarti "you are so horrible...i mean it...you want to do what any girl would avoid doing...and would think at least hundred times... "

Aarti took out another pair of dry clothes... "its because they are scared but i am in love and there are no bounderies in love"...

Chapter 10

Nakul was seen running towards the hostel...he rather looked scared as he rushed straight towards Veer's room... It was nearly 11:00 and students were busy attending their classes...

"Veer...Veer wake up..." Nakul was almost out of breath...that was very usual of him to panic...

"Veer...Ranga and Pritesh and looking for you...they...they have weapons..." Nakul said huffing in between...

Veer woke up immediately and looked at his worried face "why are you freaking????"

Sameer woke up "i think Pritesh wants another good beating"

He wore his jacket and shoes... Veer woke up lazily...while washing his face he looked into the mirror rather angrily "lets go"

After some time most students witnessed a major fight outside the college gates.

Ranga did not get his men this time...he thought he alone was enough for Veer... But Veer gave him severe injuries on his head and legs... Pritesh was the last one whom Veer attacked... "i warned you last time...but you didn't listen" Veer said angrily and threw him on the ground...

"Arjun..." Veer forwarded his hand for hockey stick... There were numerous painful screams... Pritesh and his friends were beaten up brutally with the hockey stick...

Veer picked up a bottle and smashed on Pritesh's head... The scene was so horrifying that the principal has to call the police...

Veer as usual didn't had any regrets...

After few hours...

Sheetal was holding Sameer's hand and walking down the corridor...she smiled as he touched her fingers with his...

While they were still walking lost in each other...they heard someone whistelling...

Sheetal turned around ... "Aarti... What is this??"

Aarti smiled "this was the best way to disturb the love birds"

"Aarti please... what happened??" Sheetal looked at Aarti then looked at Sameer...

"well...i didn't wanted to disturb you two...but i wanted to ask Sameer about his friend Veer" Aarti said while putting on her sunglasses...

Sameer wasn't surprised but he was thinking about Veer and Aarti who were so different from each that it was impossible to think them together... "police station"

Aarti stopped chewing her gum and gave a little smile... "really??? "

"you are smiling??? Don't you feel bad??" Sheetal asked astonished at Aarti...

Aarti patted on Sheetal's cheek "no ...and thanks Sameer" she walked away...while Sheetal and Sameer were still trying to think about Aarti...who was like a complete puzzle...

"Vikram...this is so beautiful...i just love his place" Kirti was happy to be wih Vikram...she loved hills...and he weather was so pleasant...

"you must think about Aarti...she's taking a wrong decision...i understand she will never listen to anyone...but future with a boy like Veer...i mean think about it" Vikram looked worriedly at Kirti...

"i know Vikram...but i just can't do anything...she's so stubborn you know... Leave it...she will understand herself...i know Veer is very violent" said Kirti...

Vikram didn't like Veer...but he knew he was not a wrong man...he only wanted to protect Aarti as he knew Veer had lots of enemies...and it was not right for Aarti getting closer to him...or even entering in his life...she would put her life in danger...

Next day...

Veer,Arjun,Nakul and Uday had to make the food in the hostel...

"this has happened because of Veer..." Nakul was talking while kneeding the dough...

Arjun quickly cut the vegetables "well...what can we do...he loves getting into fights with everyone and we are making dinner for 400 boys in this hostel...damn"...

Veer was stirring the curry with a big spoon... "stop it now you idiots... I will kill that Ranga"

"you are still thinking about that Ranga???" Uday looked surprisingly at Veer...

"think about the curry you are making...if that comes out to be bad then get ready for another punishment..." Nakul said while washing his hands... "my hands have turned red after kneeding this dough"

Veer was least bothered about anything... He only thought about how to brutally beat his enemy to death...

While he was angrily thinking about the fight he had...instead of putting salt...by mistake he emptied the whole packet of croton tiglium (jamalghota)...

Sameer came with the plates "i washed them...now i have to clean and setup them in the dining area...damn...you know i hate all his Veer"

Sheetal saw her phone vibrating... "hi ..."

Sameer told her everything about their punishment... Sheetal was feeling bad for them "oh no...but now how will you manage..." she kept the phone...

Aarti walked towards her... "tell me...what happened??"

Sheetal was sad "you know Aarti ...Sameer was saying they have got the punishment today...they all are making food for the entire boys hostel...i feel so bad for them..."

Aarti got up excitedly... "what is Veer doing???"

Sheetal looked at Aarti...she can never understand her "i don't know their job descriptions"

Kavita listened to their conversation "well Aarti...it seems you want to taste the food made by this gang who is famous for breaking bones"

Veer walked to his room after keeping the food in the dinning hall...

Sameer,Nakul and Uday were serving everyone...

After some time Veer saw the students rushing to the toilets...

"what's going on here??" Veer asked his friends who were standing with sad faces

"get ready for another punishment Veer"

Chapter 11

It wasn't unusual for Veer to face this punishment, he was least bothered about the huge bags loaded on his back while he kept running around the football ground...

"this is not fair" Nakul said huffing half way...

Arjun looked at Nakul who was slowly running to complete his punishment of fifty circles around the ground... "it was Veer who mixed that stupid thing in the food...and here we are facing the punishment with him..."

Sameer pulled Nakul "come one...lets run fast"

"i can run...but what about this heavy luggage on my back, it will surely break my back" Nakul said with the crying face...

"if i had one more circle, i will die..." Uday shouted at his friends...

Veer was running far ahead of them... his thoughts were only taking him towards his fight with Ranga and his men... the more he thought the more he aggressively ran faster...

Uday was about to faint... "look at him..." he pointed towards Veer... "we are pissed unnecessarily because of his mistake and he doesn't even care..."

Sameer was still pulling Nakul when his phone rang...

"hey sweetheart" Sameer said while running...

"how are you...still running..." Sheetal said worriedly...

"hmmm"

Aarti jumped off her bed... "who is running??"

Sheetal looked at Aarti "Veer and his friends have got a punishment of completing fifty circles of the ground..."

"wow... really..." Aarti quickly ran towards the bathroom...

Sheetal nodded her head at her friend who was completely going bizarre...

After some time...

Aarti ran towards the ground... her eyes scanned around when she saw Veer running with heavy weights on his back... he didn't looked tired though the frowns on his forehead as usual showed he was angry, she looked at his other friends who were literally dragging themselves... she laughed out...

She walked inside the ground... "hello..." she looked at Veer who had no effect ...

"i am talking to you" Aarti rushed after Veer...

"get lost" he said without looking at her...

"why??"

Veer turned angrily towards her "i don't think its important to answer your why??"

Aarti quietly looked at him while he started running again...

It was late afternoon when all the students almost finished their classes and walked towards their hostels...

Nakul and Uday lay on the bed "oh God...why did you do that with us...what wrong did i do in my past life..." Uday screamed while Arjun applied the hot bottle on his back...

"it our fate brother..." added Nakul...

Veer came out of the shower... "stop complaining now" he threw his towel away... "i will kill that Ranga... "

Uday looked confusedly at his angry friend "isn't this punishment enough for thinking about that man..."

Veer picked up his hockey stick "well...not yet... i have to clear my account with him..."

Nakul nodded his head in despair...

"Aarti just forget it... why do you even talk to him, when he doesn't even look at you..." Sheetal tried to explain...

Aarti smiled... "because i love him... that's all i know..."

Kirti was listening to her sister's stupid talks... "i think you must do something useful rather than thinking about that ruffian..."

"don't you dare say anything about him " Aarti pointed her finger...

"really??" Kirti smirked...

Aarti walked out of the room, banging the door behind her...

There was a small tear that occupied her eyes...

"i know you don't love me...but one day you will..." she smiled and wiped her tears...

Veer was practising with his punching bags when Aarti came towards him...

"Hi" she smiled at the angry face...

"what do you want??"

"you" she answered...

"what?? He shouted back

"i mean...you..can i be your friend??" she said quickly...

"no" Veer replied with the most rude attitude...

"why?" Aarti asked innocently

Veer angrily pulled her towards a corner... "whys the hell are you after me..."

Aarti felt his hands snaked around her arms... even though it was hurting she closed her eyes

and felt his strong touch ...

Veer had no clue why she was doing that...

Chapter 12

After sometime

"But why are you packing your bags..." Sheetal queried

Aarti did not say anything but quietly kept all her clothes in the big suit case...

She looked at Kirti who seemed irritated of her sister.

Aarti walked towards her "don't worry, I will tell mom that I want to stay with her and Kasauli is a good place... but please don't try to stop me... I am not staying here anymore"

Sheetal walked out of the room and called Sameer "your friend is so heartless... my friend is leaving from here... is he happy now...?"

She disconnected angrily...

Soon they heard a knock at the door...

It was Sameer.

Nakul looked at his hands "look what has happened... it's because of Veer..."

Uday laughed... "Veer is watching you... but one thing is sure. You are a good cook"

Nakul threw the pillow on Uday "go away"

Veer picked up his books and all the assignment...

Nakul looked at Veer who was busy from last 2 hours digging in his books "have you done all the assignments?"

"Yes"... Veer looked at him "Veer doesn't leave anything undone..."

Nakul was surprised at his dear friend who is exceptional.

He wondered why Veer was always so rude and livid, then he thought about Aarti... Poor girl must have webbed so many dreams with the world's most violent person...

Veer reached the table and opened the top drawer, took out his cell phone and walked out of the room...

Nakul knew that Veer will never tolerate anything wrong but at the same time he knew that Veer's temper will become his biggest enemy one day.

"Sameer, why have you come here?" Questioned Sheetal

"Please Sheetal... Let me explain..." Sameer glanced around the room and saw Aarti wiping her tears...

"Aarti... you have chosen to soften the biggest rock... and it's not easy. Believe me... I always wanted to tell you this before. But its good you have given up and have decided to move on with your life"

Aarti thought for a while... how can she give up so easily... she was determined and have always had what she wanted "yes... you are right... I have given up my decision of going back. I am staying here and your friend will melt down in front of my love..."

She threw her bag away and walked out of the room...wiped her tears and smiled "you will be mine Veer"

Sheetal looked at Sameer and smiled "you are bad" she said softly...

"Thanks" he came closer and whispered in her ear.

Later during the evening, all the students were going back to their hostels ...

Aarti stood at the gate waiting for Veer... she saw him walking out a while ago...

She knew this wasn't a right way but she had to lie in order to get closer to him...

He may even kill her if he gets to know what she was thinking... but she had nothing in her mind except Veer... she wanted him in any way.

She saw him walking down the street near the gates... quickly she took the a glass bottle off her small bag... "Hi Veer"

Frowned at the beauty standing in dark he ignored and walked away... she followed... "Veer I am leaving this college... and going back to Bathinda."

He did not stop... she held his hand ... "Wait... I know you want to get rid of me... but can I please ask one last favour from you?"

He stopped. "Alright what?"

She smiled "you have to drink with me..."

"What??" he shouted...

"Yes... one last remembrance in my life" she beamed.

"No... I don't drink" he said firmly.

"Just once... ok you drink soft drink only..." she exclaimed

Veer never wanted to even stand with her... drinking was too far. But anyways she was leaving the college finally and he was happy about this... one last time he had to endure her... "Alright" he said softly...

She gave a big smile... "Come"

"But where..." he interrogated...

"Well there is no place... may be in one of the classrooms..."

He gave a thought ... "fine... but don't hold my hand" he moved away.

She agreed and both walked inside the college ...

There wasn't anyone in the college at this hour...

Aarti poured the drink in his glass... "For you"

Veer took the glass "thanks for going from here."

She smiled "you don't like me. Isn't it?"

"Well I am an honest person and yes you guessed it right..." He guzzled the whole drink ...

"Yuck... what is that..." he probed indignantly. "You said it was a soft drink!!!"

She chuckled ... "It is a soft, sugary drink... actually you are so vicious, that everything you taste gets bitter... "

Soon he couldn't focus... He tried to look cautiously at the bottle she had... but his vision blurred...

He saw Aarti and then fainted...

She grinned ... then assumed she was doing wrong. But there is no other way to melt him and she desired him in any way... "Veer, I love you" she whispered and kissed him on the lips...

Next Morning...

Veer opened his eyes slowly... he saw himself lying on the bench and then saw Aarti sleeping next to him... the buttons of his shirt were all loose open... and marks of lipstick was on his chest and arms... he was stunned... then observed Aarti who had messy hair and was sleeping on his arm... he quickly pulled his arm away... Aarti woke up... and looked at him...

She glanced round... and started crying... "What happened last night? You were Drunk..."

"Oh my God... how will I face everyone..." she started commotion...

Veer kept his hand on her mouth. "Stop shouting..." she considered at him with teary eyes...

"How could I do that?" he thought... and brushed his hand in his hair.

"You were the one who wanted to drink." he said heatedly.

Aarti started crying piercingly... "Oh my life... what will I do now..."

He again kept his hand on her mouth "stop it Aarti..."

He quickly got up and tied the buttons of his shirt and asked her to tie her hair and adjust her clothes...

"Let's get out of here first." he clasp her hand and took her out of the room...

Both went to the canteen... "One lemonade" he said.

"What do you want?" he asked Aarti who looked lethargic.

"Well how can I have anything in this disorder... how could you even ask me" she moaned.

Veer looked around the college... "Realise Aarti... everyone is watching us... and I don't want a chaos here... so please drink something. And we will talk about this later."

He got up to get something for her...

Sameer and Arjun watched Veer offering Aarti a drink

...

"Are you seeing what I am just beholding?" Arjun said

"Yes ... I am watching elephants dancing in the sky." Said Sameer

"How can this be possible...? Veer, and offering drink to Aarti and sitting with her, damn" Nakul said from behind...

Veer observed his friends and glowered... he was already strained for the last night and now his friends will leave no space to mock him... He had to talk to Aarti about what all occurred last night because he doesn't recollect a single bit...

"Aarti lets go out..." he said standing from the chair...

"But Veer..." she was about to complete her sentence when Veer pulled her hand and took her out of the college gate...

Arjun could not believe what he say. "Hold my hand guys... am I imagining?"

Nakul pushed him with his leg "it that enough"

Veer and Aarti stood at the college gate...Veer was scanning everywhere, he knew is friends are looking more snooping.

"See Aarti ... I earnestly don't remember what happened last night... do you remember what I did?" Veer asked facing the other side...

Aarti started crying... "Well you did what you shouldn't have done... it seems you were desperate, and just wanted to..."

"What are you talking?" Veer stopped her... then nodded his head, he kept both his hands on his head. "What kind of trouble have I landed into" he said to himself...

Then revolved to look at the beautiful girl who had tears in her eyes... he felt bad, he was against those people who misused girls and here he himself did such a crime.

"Aarti you go to your hostel now and I will speak to you later" he said and viewed her leaving...

Then turned towards his friends who were already passing big beams

He walked a few steps towards them when something came in his mind and he walked towards his hostel.

Sameer was observing and this was no more than a surprise to him. Veer went away without even talking to them.

Aarti entered the room with a big smile...she seemed gladder and more jovial.

Kavita was reading when her eyes scanned the fizzy Aarti, she seemed lost in something.

"Aarti, you are smiling? Unexpectedly? And where were you whole night?" she probed

Aarti bit her lower lip and smirked... then took the band out of her hair and hopped on the bed "yes, I am glad... too happy" she jumped and finally lay on the bed.

Kavita speculated what the hell has happened with her... but then came back on the page she was reading. "We have assignment due" she said

Aarti closed her eyes and smiled.

Veer was still in the shower thinking about what exactly must have happened last night. This was torturing him, he never wanted himself to attach with any girl in his life and this was tormenting him. He wanted to run away. He thought about Aarti, for the first time he had thought about her, and that too out of sympathy. He has to make it very clear to her that he cannot involve himself with any relationship. Though he knew that she would not be happy with him about this decision. But he has to make that clear.

He quickly came out of the shower and wore his clothes. Sameer knocked at the door "it's open"

A strong voice answered...

Sameer saw Veer dressed up and all ready for the class... "Veer, are you alright?"

Veer angrily saw himself in the mirror and threw the brush at the mirror "No, bloody hell, I am not ok" he roared and sauntered out of the room...

Sameer knew there was something peculiar. He wanted to check with Aarti first, as it was impossible to get anything from Veer.

Sameer took his phone out and called Sheetal..

"Where are you?" he asked

"I am just leaving for library. Why?" she replied

"I want to meet you, now" he said

"Alright" Sheetal agreed

Chapter 13

Sheetal was still looking at the door, she knew that it must be something important as Sameer sounded tense as if there was something significant.

She turned to look at the book she was trying to read from past half an hour. Finally she saw him entering the library gates... she waved her hand...

Sameer smiled and ambled towards Sheetal...

"Yes Sameer, what's the matter" she enquired

"Well can't I see you without any matter, I like talking to you" he came closer and whispered in her ear...

She shy away "fine... Now tell me what the matter is"

"let's go out..." Sameer replied.

Sheetal nodded and picked up her books and walked towards the gate with him.

Kavita was still thinking about the prettiness sleeping peacefully. She was far away from any worries in the world... when yesterday she was crying on top her voice and today there was a slight smile on her face even when she was fast asleep.

Kavita was doubtful, she knew Aarti was clever and naughty. But at the same time she knew that Aarti had a beautiful heart and as far as she knew Aarti never hurt anyone.

Kirti walked in the room, saw her sister sleeping peacefully. "Wow, am I dreaming" she said making Kavita look at her...

Kirti went closer and pat on her shoulder "Aarti"

But Aarti did not wake up.

Kirti heard her phone ringing "yes Vikram, no cancel the tickets... she is sleeping"

Sheetal had her last sip of the lemonade "tell me what the matter is?"

"Well I am not sure what to ask, but I am in a doubt" he said softly

Sheetal waited for him to speak up

"Where was Aarti last night, I mean was she with you or."

"No she was not" she stopped him In between "I don't know where she was last night" she responded

Sameer was now curious "well even Veer was not in his room... but that's not very unusual because I have seen him going around for regular fights"

Sheetal was now thinking about Aarti. "Sameer, give me some time, I will find out"

Sameer smiled "so you will become a detective"

"Well not really, but what about Veer" she asked

"I saw Veer and Aarti sitting together at the caf in the morning" he said

Sheetal was now astounded and dazed "what?"

She was now sure that something was definitely devious...

After some time

Kirti was still talking to vikram when she saw Aarti waking up... "Ummm" she said tiredly

"Vikram, I will call you later" she said and walked towards Aarti "good morning sweet sister" Kirti touched her fair shoulder...

Aarti rubbed her eyes... "What?" then got up from the bed... she was still wearing last night's skirt and a loose top...

Kirti asked with a raised brow "where were you the whole night?"

Aarti scowled "why?"

"Just tell me" Kirti said indignantly

"Well I was with someone" Aarti said tying her long hair in a ponytail...

Kirti was now thinking at her stupid sister who thought she was the world's smartest person "May I please ask who you were with?"

Aarti ignored her sister's words and walked into the bathroom to have shower...

It was almost afternoon and most of the morning classes were finished.

Aarti only loved gymnastics, her class started in the evening...

While she was still getting ready for her class, Kirti queried again "Aarti, I am your sister and I have full right to know where you were last night"

Aarti smiled

"Were you with some boy?" Kirti asked astonishingly

Aarti observed her snooping sister with the broad smile "I won't tell you anything" and rushed out of the room...

Kirti kept yelling...

Veer was still thinking about last night. He wanted to talk to Aarti and explain everything about his life. He cannot involve himself with anyone.

He knew his life was full of danger and if he gets attached to any girl then he will put her life in danger as well. He knew he had a number of enemies who always kept an eye on him.

Aarti smiled and came walked towards the small lake outside the hostel. "This is the nice place to talk" she said softly while he was lost in his thoughts

He saw her smiling "Aarti, I wanted to talk to you, to explain everything about my life"

Aarti smiled and came closer "what?"

"Aarti, this is serious, my life is full of danger and I cannot involve you in my life. I cannot risk your life" he said

Aarti smiled then be held him and started crying "fine, you have spoilt my life and now you want to get rid of me. This is how you used me?"

Veer closed his fist in anger "why the hell don't you understand" he roared making Aarti quiet.

"I am persistently besieged with myself, over what I have done with you." He bellowed and hit his hand against the tree trunk.

Aarti stepped back, she was now horrified. Her one lie had made him hit himself. She shouldn't have done this. She thought to herself.

"Veer"

She was stunned to see the bruise on his hand. And immediately hold his hand... "Please don't do this"

Veer observed her while she tried to tie his bruised hand with her tissue. She looked so innocent and pure. His hand reached the small tear sitting near her eye when she looked up surprisingly.

"Aarti, I...I don't know how to like and how to love" he said

She smiled "don't worry, I will make you learn everything" she hold his hand

Veer was still not happy of getting into any relation with her. But he did not wanted to leave her at this stage when something happened because of him. He did hurt her and because of this he had to be with her.

He knew he had more enemies then friends, he would never want Aarti to come in front of the world and declaring any relation she has with him. "You have to promise me one thing" he asked firmly

"Yes, I promise" she replied instantly

"Let me at least complete first" he added

She smiled

"You will never tell anyone about both of us" he demanded and she closed her eyes and agreed.

"Now let's go back" he commanded

"Wait" she said

He grimaced but she hold his hand and smiled making his glares disappear.

This was his first time in life when a girl dared to hold his hand and he did not rejected.

But he did not curl his fingers around hers.

Next Day

Kavita was still searching for the book, it was now more than half an hour since she was struggling tp find it. Finally her eyes fell on the left side second last shelf... "Oh found it"

Her hands reached to grab the book when she saw Arjun pulling for the same book "leave"

Kavita was now annoyed, "it's mine"

"No its mine" he argued back

"Just give it to me" she said irately

"Get lost, you half-witted boy" she exclaimed

"Me!!! Half witted??? What on earth do you think of yourself, you witch" he replied back

"What????" she shouted back

Soon the whole library was able to hear them fighting

Librarian finally kept the book on a side "both of you, leave"

"But ma'am" Kavita tried to be polite

"Please both leave" Librarian demanded...

Kavita made a bad face at Arjun who least bothered and left in a different direction

--------------------------

Later during the day

Sheetal was still waiting for Sameer in the canteen when she saw Kavita coming to her angrily...

"What happened to you?" she asked eagerly to her friend who seems red in rage

"I hate him...he is now my biggest enemy" Kavita said loudly

"Hahaha who??" Sheetal laughed

"You are laughing, I will kill him" Kavita said throwing her books on the table

"Oh Kavita, stop it. Don't be angry" Sheetal said calmly

Kavita sat on the chair next to her and angrily looked around.

Sheetal asked her to drink something and relax.

In the meantime she saw Sameer coming towards her

She smiled "hi" she waved her hand

Sameer smiled back and approached the girls.

Kavita was still angry "I will go to the hostel,"

Sheetal knew Kavita doesn't like talking to boys "ok, I will see you later"

Sameer saw Kavita's unpleasant behaviour "what's the matter with her" he said softly after she walked away

"Nothing, she must have had a big fight with some boy in the library" Sheetal said

"Anyways, Veer seems to be normal now. He was peacefully sleeping last night" Said Sameer

"Hmmm, even Aarti seems to be normal, well she did not even talk about Veer... so maybe she wants to forget him" Sheetal added.

Later during the evening

Veer heard his phone ringing while he was still practising with his punching bags.

He saw the number "yes"

"Now?"

"Ok" he flung the phone away and packed his bag to walk outside.

Uday looked at Veer who seemed to be ready to go for a fight "Veer which party you are going to smash today"

Veer raise his brows "smash"

And walked outside

Few minutes later he was 1 km away from the college gates, near a huge forest sipping water.

Aarti came from behind "Veer"

He turned around "Aarti... why did you call me here and at this time"

"Why? Can't I call you?" she asked

"You can, but this place is dangerous... people say there is a lake in the middle of the forest and it is haunted" he tried to scare her

"I don't care as far as you are with me" she said softly

Chapter 14

"I don't care as far as you are with me" she said gently

"Really?" he raised his eyebrow and nodded his head

She gazed at him lovingly but he looked all over the place except her

"why do you keep staring like this?" he queried

Aarti smiled "I don't know, something happens to me when I see you"

Veer did not bother much "why did you call me here?"

Aarti strode closer "I wanted to meet you"

"Look Aarti" Veer stepped back "I am really busy, and I thought that was something serious that you want to talk about but you just called me for nothing"

He was about to walk away when she hold his hand "please don't go" she made a request

He didn't turn to look at her "leave my hand Aarti" he demanded

Aarti did not leave his hand, instead she hold it more tightly

Veer was now frowning when he turned to look at her "Aarti, will you stop"

Before he could utter another word she placed a small kiss on his lips then quickly ran away leaving behind Veer with a shocked face.

Kirti was still busy reading the last chapter of her favourite novel when the door of the room banged loudly against the wall "you frightened me" she yelped

Aarti excitedly hopped onto her bed

Kirti was already annoyed at her, it had already been days since she spoke to her dear sister nicely

"What's your problem Aarti?" Kirti got up from her bed and stood near her sister with one hand on her tiny waist

"Nothing" replied Aarti

"Then behave yourself...you scared me" said Kirti

Aarti was least concerned about anything else happening in the world. She only thought about the sensation she went through couple of minutes back. Her entire frame was feeling his closeness as if she was always longing for him. She touched her lips and smiled, then looked herself in the mirror.

Kirti wasn't surprised to see her sister going crazy "nothing new" she murmured and carried on with her reading

Aarti lied down on the bed and looked up the ceiling...she was going through a different feeling. For the first time in life she kissed someone and felt like kissing him again and again. She shy away and took over the sheet on her face and whispered softly "I love you Veer".

This was Arjun's last bottle of bear "I am sick and tired of this college"

Nakul was still laughing at his friend "not college, but the girls in this college"

Arjun was super angry at Kavita "I will never see her face again, she has no manners."

Uday and Nakul laughed at Arjun who was almost drunk.

"Be strong Arjun, go to her and tell her you are angry at her" said Uday

Nakul almost fell on the floor laughing "you are mad, as if she is waiting for Arjun to come and say this"

Arjun threw the bottle away "yes I am going now"

Nakul and Uday stopped him "it's too late to enter the girl's hostel"

Veer was still thinking about the way Aarti kissed him. Though he felt little different but he was not happy about this. He was now sure that Aarti has no brains. Mindless girl she was falling for him. The more he wanted to stay away from her, the more she tried to come closer. "I must find a way to get out of this mad situation". He opened the door and found Arjun being pulled by Nakul and Uday

"What the hell is going out here?" Veer questioned annoyingly

Nakul laughed "Arjun is going to girl's hostel to meet Kavita"

Veer was shocked "what is happening to all of you?"

"Look who's talking" teased Uday

Veer was now angry "just shut up and Arjun have you lost your brains?"

Arjun took out another bottle "I will kill her"

Veer was looking at the room, it seemed he has come to a liquor store "fine, go"

"And why the hell are you stopping him" Veer pulled Nakul and Uday away

"Let him get some medicine from the girl's hostel" Veer said

Arjun looked at Veer "you are my friend Veer, can't you help me. We must take hockey sticks and chains"

Veer least bothered and walked to have some shower

Nakul laughed "hockey sticks and chains for girls"

Arjun was frowning "yes"

"Let's go Nakul, Arjun has dropped his brain somewhere" Uday laughed and both walked out of his way.

Arjun was not happy and walked out of the room

Veer was having his shower when his mobile rang... he did not see the number and turned off the shower to answer "yes"

Aarti smiled then kissed on the phone

Veer was shocked again and looked at the number "Aarti"

"Yes, that's me" she replied shyly

"What do you want now?" he said holding his head

"You" she said

"What?" he added

"I mean, I want to meet you" she said softly

"Aarti stop calling me, I am not coming" Veer said and cancelled the phone

Aarti was not happy "then I will come" she said to herself

Veer was thinking about her now. He looked in the mirror and saw himself, his eyes scanned around and he looked at his lips that were touched by another lips for the first time. Suddenly he was annoyed over himself for letting Aarti kiss him.

He closed his fist in anger and decided not to let her come closer at all. He has to make some distance.

Later during the night...

Kavita and Kirti were busy making the project while Aarti was getting ready to go out.

Sheetal was still sitting near the window and talking to Sameer... they had already chosen a spot to talk. Everyday Sameer climbed the window and stopped for a while to talk to Sheetal.

"Aarti where are you going?" queried Kirti

"Going out" Aarti replied without bothering to look around

Kirti immediately took her phone and called Vikram "hi, it's me"

Sometime later

Aarti reached outside the boys hostel... she was still thinking of the way to enter the hostel when she saw Arjun coming out... she tried to hide around the big bush but then something clicked in her mind "Arjun" she called out

Arjun saw Aarti waving at him. "Aarti, you"

Aarti smiled at him "where are you going?"

Arjun was already angry at Kavita "to meet your friend, what she thinks of herself"

"Correct, she's a snob" added Aarti

Arjun looked at her "by the way, what are you doing here?"

She looked at the bottle of bear in his hand "listen, you want to go and meet Kavita and fight"

"Yes, I want to go right now" he said angrily

"Ok, I will help you reach girls hostel but you have to help me reach your room" she whispered

Arjun was shocked "what are you talking?"

"Give me this bottle and take off your shirt" she said softly

Arjun cling to his shirt "why?"

"Idiot, I will wear your clothes and enter boys hostel" she said

Arjun was confused and nervous

"Come on, I don't have time" Aarti forced him

He reluctantly gave his sweatshirt to Aarti

Aarti tied her hair in a bun and covered her head with the hoodie

"Fine, now you can go to the girls hostel" she said and started walking towards the hostel

Arjun was now completely lost, he sat on the ground and finally lied down.

Aarti saw the bottle in her hand and thought of having a sip.. "Yuck" she said to herself

"How can anyone drink it" she waited for the lights to turn off.

The moment she saw the hostel quiet, she softly walked towards one of the room, she looked up before opening the door "number 12" she smiled and slightly opened the door.

She could see bear bottles all around the place, Nakul and Uday were doing some project on the study table. Her eyes were scanning for Veer... she immediately walked to one of the beds and face the other side.

Nakul smiled "why have you come so early, you went to take revenge"

Uday nodded his head and concentrated on his book

Aarti smiled but did not turn around. Instead took a sheet over herself.

"He must sleep after drinking so much" said Uday

Few seconds later Veer came out of the shower and reached for his wardrobe.

Aarti slide the sheet a little to see. She was almost stunned to see Veer. He looked just handsome. The way she always imagined in her dreams.

Veer turned around to the bed "Arjun, get up and sleep on your bed"

Aarti smiled...

Soon they heard a knock on the door

Sameer came in "can anyone come to help pick that drunker lying in the garden"

Nakul and Uday laughed but then looked at him "who?"

"Arjun, who else" said Sameer

"If that is Arjun, then who is sleeping here?" Nakul said

All four walked towards the bed ...

Veer thought it could be one of his enemies who may have hurt Arjun and now wearing his clothes.

"You go get him, I will see who is sleeping on this bed"

"But Veer" said Sameer

"Sshh" Veer made them quiet "just leave"

Veer prepared himself, bolted the door from inside and picked up his hockey stick and moved towards the bed

He quickly lifted the sheet...

Aarti laughed "did I scare you?"

"Aarti" Veer was super shocked and irritated at the same time

"Yes, I was missing you" she said and took of the shirt...

"Good you bolted the door" she said softly

Veer threw the hockey stick away "Aarti listen, you shouldn't have come here"

Aarti stepped more closer while Veer wanted to avoid her "stop there Aarti, I am telling you"

"I don't want to stop" she whispered

Veer was now furious, he slapped her on the face "don't you understand"

She touched her cheek and smiled "no I don't "

Soon they heard the knock at the gate...

Aarti was still gazing at Veer while he was thinking of a way to let Aarti get out of the room. "Go, hide in the bathroom as of now"

Veer opened the door the moment to slide in the bathroom.

Nakul and Uday lifted Arjun to the bed. Sameer glanced around "where's the man gone?"

Veer closed the door "Sameer, it wasn't a man"

Sameer looked curiously

"It's Aarti" Veer added.

Sameer was shocked "what?" then he smiled.

Sameer walked into the bathroom but he couldn't find anyone.

"Veer, I think you are actually falling for her" Sameer nodded his head

Veer was shocked and checked the bathroom again. To his surprise she wasn't there.

"Who was it Veer?" Sameer asked again

Veer was still thinking when Sameer pat on his shoulder "or you handled him alone and don't want to tell us"

Veer gave a straight smile "yes, I dealt with him"

Sameer carelessly flung his shirt and went to bed.

In the meantime Arjun, Nakul and Uday went off to sleep as well.

Veer wasn't convinced, he could never dream Aarti. He sauntered around the whole room then checked the bathroom again. Finally his eyes fell on the window.

He quickly walked out of the room. He slowly walked at the back of the hostel, only to find Aarti sitting against the fall sobbing.

"Aarti" he whispered

Aarti wiped her tears and smiled at him "yes Veer"

"How did you..." then he looked at the window and the pipe.

He saw mud all over her skin, and tears floating her eyes. Her hair was messy.

He stepped closer and wiped her tears then placed the loose strings of hair at the back of her ear just to see her face clearly. She smiled a little.

He saw her shoulders with mud. Slowly his hands reached hers and he could see the bruise on her hands. "Aarti, what is this?"

She immediately pulled her hands away "nothing..." she looked elsewhere.

Veer held her hand and asked her to come with him

"I can't walk... my ankle's hurting" she said softly

He did not say anything, came closer and lifted her in his arms and took her out of the hostel.

Aarti was surprised, that was something unexpected from Veer.

She always faced his rude side but this was the first time he lifted her in his arms. She felt safe. Her hands automatically reached towards his shoulders. He lifted her so easily. Slowly he took her outside the boy's hostel.

"Veer" she said after gazing at him for a while

"Hmm" he said

"I am sorry" she said softly

This time he looked at her. Her eyes were moist and for the first time she looked serious. He quietly made her sit on the ground. He took off her shoes and socks to see her ankle. He could see the bruise. "Ouch" she cried in pain.

He slowly touched the bruise "don't worry, you will be fine" he said

"Now try walking a little, I can't enter girl's hostel at this time" he whispered.

Aarti was still in pain. Tears started from her beautiful eyes. She did not say anything but Veer couldn't see her crying anymore.

"Ok, I will drop out at the gate and tell the watchman to help you" he stated

"But then I will be in trouble" she murmured

He heard and stopped there "fine then I have no other option then to take you inside the college

She nodded

He took her to the gymnasium hall and looked for the first aid kit. In the meantime Aarti kept on gazing at Veer. She forgot all her pain and bruise when she saw him caring for her.

After digging around for a while he did found a first aid box. Then quickly undid to find the cotton and a spray.

"Just tell me where it hurts" he said and started applying on her hands first. Then on her ankle, then elbows.

Aarti continuously watched him applying the medicine. She smiled a little while he was carefully pressing the cotton against her skin.

"Ok all done" he said and looked at her. She was smiling this time.

"You are too much Aarti" this time he had a little smile on his lips.

And that was the first time ever Aarti saw him smiling. "You can smile!!!"

She said aloud and laughed.

Both started giggling.

After some time

Aarti cleaned all the mud on her skin with a wet cloth. "Veer can I ask something"

Veer nodded

"Why don't you smile often, you look more handsome when you smile" she said

"I don't find any reason to smile" he retorted back.

Aarti tried to get up

"Wait, what are you doing?" he asked inquisitively

"I will jump one more time from the window" she said

"Why?" he said with a glare

"So that you can smile again" she said with a giggle.

Veer smiled again "you are absolutely mad"

"Yes I am" she said "but only for you" she supposed

She was sitting against the wall, while Veer was sitting next to her

Veer looked seriously at her this time... Soon the curve on both their lips turned straight.

Aarti came little closer "why are you sitting faraway"

"Is this far?" he asked

"I think even an inch is far" she thought

"Really" he responded back

"Yes" she came closer.

This time her shoulders were touching his and both were looking into each other's eyes. She wanted to die for him a million times if he smiled at her.

"You girls don't have brains to think?" he probed

She smiled and glanced around "Men can only think. Women have a way of understanding without thinking. Woman was created out of God's own fancy. Man, He had to hammer into shape"

Veer smiled but she continued "Only once in your life, I truly believe, you find someone who can completely turn your world around. You tell them things that you've never shared with another soul and they absorb everything you say and actually want to hear more.

You share hopes for the future, dreams that will never come true, goals that were never achieved and the many disappointments life has thrown at you. When something wonderful happens, you can't wait to tell them about it, knowing they will share in your excitement.

They are not embarrassed to cry with you when you are hurting or laugh with you when you make a fool of yourself. Never do they hurt your feelings or make you feel like you are not good enough, but rather they build you up and show you the things about yourself that make you special and even beautiful. You can be yourself and not worry about what they will think of you because they love you for who you are.

He gazed at the beautiful face in the moonlight falling from a small window that almost covered her face. Her milky skin shined, he came closer to her ears again and moved the black strings on the side "Love is that condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own... How can I risk your happiness, how can I put your life in danger?"

She opened her eyes and turned to look at the handsome man who seemed curious of her reply, she was as calm as a dove "Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage, there is no question of danger" she said softly in his ears.

Before he could look up and ask something she entangled her arms around his shoulder "I love you as certain dark things are to be loved, in secret, between the shadow and the soul." She whispered and buried her face between his neck and shoulder.

It was early morning when Veer woke up and saw Aarti sleeping next to him with her head on his shoulder. He glanced around, they were sitting in the gymnasium and any minute boys will come in for practice. He quickly wake up Aarti

"Aarti wake up" he said while patting her cheeks..

Aarti was lazy but when she opened her eyes she smiled at him .. "I was with you the whole night?"

Veer asked her to leave right now and he will come later

She nodded and was about to leave when he hold her hand ... she was surprised "Veer... how come you.." before she could complete

"I hope no one will get to know about our relationship, I have trusted you" he said...

She closed her eyes "I promise, until you don't want, I will keep it a secret"

She left while he watched her from behind...

After some time ...

All the students started coming in the college...Veer started his exercising...

Nakul entered slowly "wow Veer... you are again so early.."

"Yes and you are late as usual" he retorted...

Sameer was still sending a nice message to Sheetal when Nakul saw him "oh here comes our lover boy"

Sameer frowned... "Stop it ..."

Uday followed Sameer ... "then what's wrong... we all know what you are thinking these days"

Sameer smiled "concentrate on your exercise" he said while lifting the dumbbells

Veer looked angry ... He was still thinking about his initial relationship with Aarti... he never wanted to involve himself, he knew his life was full of danger.. but then he did something wrong with her and for that reason he could not leave it..

Uday glanced around when his eyes fell on Veer's angry expression "Veer is exercising more today and that too in full anger"

Veer did not find it funny...

Nakul saw him "are you thinking about Aarti?"

Veer was now angry ... he threw the weights and walked towards him "What on the earth makes you think like that?"

Nakul was scared... "Well I was just joking"

Veer came closer "you know I don't like these jokes.."

Sameer saw Veer aggressive "Veer come lets go to the canteen.."

Veer walked angrily...

In the canteen

Veer was sitting with Sameer when Nakul came towards him "Veer ... I will never joke with you"

Veer nodded his head "no ... you can joke... but never take any girls name with me. I don't like it."

Nakul smiled "I will make sure"

Both happily started talking... but Veer was still thinking about Aarti...he would never want her to fall into any trouble because of him..

After few minutes he saw her walking with friends... she ignored him this time...

Sameer was quite surprised at her reaction "well she use to be after Veer and today she did not even look at him..."

Arjun came towards the table "its good... girls are useless anyway... If they ignore you, that means you are lucky.."

He opened the soft drink and gulped down his throat..

Veer glanced at her once... she looked pretty...for the first time he looked at her clothes... her blue top and white skirt made her look so beautiful. For the first time he felt she was beautiful. He quickly looked at his friends "now let's go.. And attend classes."

All the boys left for the classes...

Aarti slowly turned and looked behind...

Sheetal was confused "why didn't you look at him?"

"him... who?"she exclaimed...

"are you alright Aarti?"sheetal queried

"ofcourse"said Aarti...

"you didn't look at Veer today...?"sheetal asked

"Well forget about him, I think it was my infatuation" Aarti replied

Sheetal wasn't convinced but then ignored and walked towards the library...

It was during late afternoon when Vikram and his gang had another fight with the outside boys...

Veer and Sameer saw them "we should help Vikram" said Veer

Sameer astonishingly looked at Veer who was ready to help his enemy "come on Veer... how can we help Vikram?"

With a raised brow he looked at Sameer "he is an enemy but here someone from outside has entered his college and beating his college mates... and he cannot see this.."

Veer ran towards the gang and one by one beat them all. Vikram saw this ...

After some time.. boys fled away... "Thanks Veer" Vikram said...

Veer walked away without saying anything...

Aarti was still painting her nails...

"are you not done yet?" Kavita asked..

"it takes time..." Aarti replied...

Kavita was wondering why she doesn't mention anything about Veer now...

Then she thought something "Aarti I think you are on the right track now"

"Track?" asked Aarti

"Cause you use to talk, think only about Veer... and forgot yourself... but now I am happy to see my old friend back." Kavita said smilingly... "these boys are bad... they make you go mad"

arti listened to her friends long stories about boys and their bad habits.. "Kavita...lets not talk about boys... please"

Kavita picked up her books and started studying...

It was late evening... little dark outside...

Aarti was standing near the canteen, then looked at her watch... one by one all the students were leaving... she saw him coming towards the canteen... she quickly left and walked towards the other side of the road...

She made sure no one saw her when she was leaving the college... she knew she only has this half an hour to talk to him... she knew he was so busy all day and on top of that he had some fight with the outsider boys... she looked at the small lake that was little visible from the distance... she thought about her life with her... then the biggest lie that she created to make him fall for her... she hoped one day he will love her so much that this lie will not matter at all.

"hi"

She heard him behind her... her heart jumped several beats..

She turned around... "hi"

Veer was standing at a little distance...

"so.. how's everything.." he asked

She smiled "good, everything is always good with me..."

"why did you wanted to meet here?" he asked

she stepped closer "you don't know?"

"no" he said firmly

She touched his hand with hers... making him feel nervous...

"so that I can see you, feel you and breathe you" she said softly...

Veer failed to understand what she had said... instead he was thinking about the boys who came inside the college campus and who were those guys and why Vikram was fighting with them.

"Your hands are so hard and strong..." she said...

He quickly pulled his hands away...

"we must leave Aarti..."he said...

"this place is not safe." He added..

Aarti smiled a little "ok"

She started walking and saw him walking behind her. He made sure she safely went inside her hostel...

Next Day

Aarti was still sleeping... Kirti asked her to wake up

Then slowly touched her forhead "you have fever"

Aarti slowly opened her eyes.. "I am alright... let me get ready"

"no you are not going anywhere" Kirti ordered her sister who was down with fever...

She gave her some tablets and went to college.. "call me if you need help" Kirti said and walked outside...

Aarti again closed her eyes and slept... the tablets made her sleepy...

After few hours..

Veer had seen all her friends but she was missing from the crowd... where was she.. did something happen to her...

His thoughts did not let him stay in peace... he was thinking a way to check where was she...

Chapter 17

Veer glanced around but could not see a glimpse of Aarti, he was only worried about her wellbeing. For the first time he felt something for her. He knew this feeling would make him weak. But he still has to make sure she is safe and sound. He thought of calling her. Then another instance he thought of checking himself.

He knew during late evening when everyone goes for dinner, he can see her.

He walked inside his room and saw Sameer chatting with Sheetal. He never wanted Sameer to ask Sheetal about Aarti. But casually had his ears to their conversation.

After few minutes

"Let's go for dinner Veer" said Sameer after disconnecting his call.

"No, you leave... I am not hungry" Veer answered

"Ok" Sameer left...

The moment he left... Veer dialled her number

Aarti was sleeping when she saw his number. She remembered she changed his contact name to Priya so that no one could find out.

"Hi" she answered

He felt relieved after hearing her voice

"Where have you been, are you alright?" he panicked

Aarti smiled "yes I am fine veer, just had a little fever"

He closed his eyes and took a deep breathe "you take care...will talk later"

And disconnected the phone

Aarti was now thinking about him. So he cared for her. She smiled and felt happy. And here she has lied to him, the guilt was still sitting on her heart. Should she tell everything to Veer. "No" she said to herself. She will loose him forever. He will never trust her. She loves him so much that if he stopped talking to her she might die.

After some time

All the girls came back from dinner

Kirti watched her sister who was lost in some thoughts "Aarti... come on get up, eat something"

Aarti responded "I am not hungry"

Kirti knew there was something besides her health, she knew her sister is not the one who keeps quiet... "what's wrong?" she asked again..

Aarti smiled a little before anyone could guess anything from her expressions "well I have a headache...that's all"

Kirti walked up to her "did you take your medicine?"

Aarti frowned "you know I hate taking tablets..."

Kirti gave her a glass of water and some tablets "come on... fast"

Aarti put the tablets in the mouth and drank water... the moment Kirti left she took out the tablet from her mouth and threw away..

She was thinking about Veer... may be he was calling during his dinner time.. or it could be possible he did not has his dinner cause he was worried for her and wanted to talk to her... she quickly lifted the sheet... and took the plate that Kirti got for her.

She quickly dialled his number

"can I meet you now?" she asked

"now? But where?" he replied

She thought for a while... "There is a little path between my hostel and the college. I won't come from the gate but from those bushes..."

She took a stole and walked with the plate... she made sure no one was looking at her...slowly she walked down the stairs and reached the reception... there was no one cause of the dinner time. She quickly sauntered outside. She went towards the back of the hostel and in between the bushes, hurriedly she forgot her slippers. The bushes were sharp but she least bothered.

After few minutes she slowly pulled herself out of the bushes and saw him standing next to her...

"Veer" her heart skipped a beat..

She offered the plate "I know you must have skipped your dinner"

Veer confusedly looked at the girl who would come to feed him risking herself under these thorny bushes. He saw her from top to bottom... she had scratches on her fair arms and hands. "what is this Aarti?"

Aarti smiled a little "I couldn't control myself so...i am sorry"

She did not meet his eyes...

He hold her hand and took her towards a corner to avoid being seen by anyone... "This is stupid Aarti"

Aarti did not utter a word instead offered the plate to him "I must leave"

"What about your hunger?" he queried

She looked back...and saw a pack of chocolates in his hand

"For me" she asked

He smiled... and nodded...

She could not control her happiness and hugged him tightly... making him wonder...

Slowly he encircled his arms around her.

"I have never seen a girl like you" he murmured

She smiled and hugged more tightly "ouch"

He immediately pulled back "what happened?"

Then looked at her arms... "Its bleeding..."

Aarti tried to ignore.. "It's alright... I will put something..."

Veer gazed her for the first time "why?"

She looked at him "my only reason is you...and just you"

"Now forget it, sit and eat now" she offered the plate

He took a small bit and offered to her

With moist eyes she ate from his hands...

After few minutes ...

"I think you should leave now..." he said

She was about to enter the bushes again when he stopped her... "Not from here"

"Then?" she queried

He walked towards the gate ... Aarti was scared "Veer...not from the gate..."

But Veer did not listen ...

"Open the gate" he said...

The gate keeper saw Veer ... "How are you beta" and slowly opened the gates...

"Get in" he said to Aarti...

"Can you make sure she goes safely to her room" Veer said to the gate keeper.

Gate keeper nodded "don't worry" and asked Aarti to get in the hostel

Aarti waved her hand... as he smiled...

Ranga and his men were still looking for Veer.. They knew he was a student and since he beat his men in the market he wanted to find out about him and show him the door to death.

Ranga ordered his men to find out who took his van to the police station. He was angry over his loss already.

"There's another student in the same college who beat Babban and took your Van to the police station" said Deenu

Ranga raged in anger "these boys have done enough. I want them here now" he ordered his men

Deenu knew he would be definitely get beaten if Veer saw him again and the other boy was equally strong. He asked his men to go inside the college and search while he will wait outside.

Vikram was walking inside the college when a few men held him... They took out the chains and hockey sticks to beat him... Vikram tried his best to beat them...

After few minutes Uday saw Vikram in a terrible condition and went to inform Veer...

Deenu and his men were about to take Vikram when Veer punched them...

Deenu started running from there... he remember last time Veer had beaten him so hard.

"Let go..." he said to his men...

Veer threw the chain around Deenu's neck and pulled him off the Jeep.

"Please let me go Veer..." he requested

"Why have you come here?" he angrily lifted him and threw him on the other side of the road...

Soon they saw the principal and other staff coming towards the gate...

Uday asked Veer to leave him this time...

Veer punched Deenu again... and was about to ask him when Principal stopped Veer and ordered all the boys to come to his room

"Is this discipline?" the principal shouted...

Vikram and Veer did not say anything. And left the office after making sure to the Principal that it won't happen again.

Vikram slowly walked and was about to fall when Veer came to hold him "why that man came to beat you?" Veer asked with a big frown

Vikram looked at Veer who was seriously concerned "that day Ranga and his men had captured five girls in a Van from a small town for sex racket and I caught hold of them, I beat them and took the Van straight to the police station."

Veer was now angry at Ranga "he will not be spared this time"

He took Vikram to his room "you take rest..."

"Veer" Vikram said

"Thanks for saving me" he added

Veer turned behind "I am always with the right"

And walked out of the room

Vikram knew Veer will not leave Ranga this time...he knew Ranga was his biggest enemy. He also knew it is only Veer who could beat Ranga to death.

Soon he heard his phone ringing

"Kirti... I am fine" he said to her before she could blast at him..

Veer was furious, he somehow wanted to get out of college and meet Ranga. How could he do such a hideous crime? The more he thought, the angrier he got. Last time he supplied drugs in the market and now girls. Every minute he thought of getting rid of the crime around him. He thought something and walked towards the Principals office.

"But sir... I am going on my risk." Veer said again

But the Principal was adamant. "I cannot let my boys step out of the college premises. And especially you Veer..."

After a long conversation with the Principal Veer was not allowed to step out of the college.

Annoyingly he went to his room...

Aarti kept looking at Sheetal's facial expressions that kept changing with every minute she was talking to Sameer..

The moment she disconnected the phone Aarti queried "what happened, you look surprised by something?"

Sheetal said casually "nothing there was a fight outside college and as usual Veer and Vikram were called by the principal"

"Oh" said Aarti and reacted as she wasn't bothered

"Anyways... I am going to library and wanted to meet Sameer.. Do you want to come along?" Sheetal asked Aarti who nodded yes...

Aarti thought Sameer is always with Veer, so she could get a chance to talk to him at least and also see if he hasn't got hurt much.

Both the girls walked towards the library... Aarti glanced around to see him but he wasn't there...

Sheetal and Sameer were talking outside the library... Aarti thought of going back to the hostel, it was getting late anyways...

As she started walking her eyes fell on him, he was standing outside the gates... was he waiting for her.. She thought and ran towards the gate...

The moment she stepped outside, there was no one... she assumed Veer must be waiting near the lake, she walked towards the lake. She thought of calling him ...

She dialled his number

"Where are you Veer... I am at the lake waiting for you" she said..

"Lake??? Why?? I am not there" he said...

"Oh... its ok I will come back then" she said and disconnected

It was during the dinner time Kirti was still searching for Aarti...

"Aarti did go with me but after that I don't know where has she gone" said Sheetal..

Kirti panicked around...

Sheetal picked up Sameer's call "Aarti is missing... we don't know where she has gone... I will talk later"

Sameer was wondering where Aarti could go...

Veer was still practising in the gym when Uday came to him "oh she's not here"

Veer frowned at him "who?"

"You don't know Veer..." asked Uday

"Aarti is missing since evening... all the girls are panicking in the hostel...even the warden is worried" Uday said

Veer dropped the weights... "What?"

"Yes Veer.. I thought may be if she was with you... we all are checking around... anyways you carry on" Uday left...

Veer was now worried. For the first time in his life he felt weak... but he has to find her. Last she spoke to him was near the lake.. That means after that she never came back to the hostel. If something happened to her... even the thoughts were creating havoc inside him...

He tried calling her but her phone was switched off... "Where are you Aarti?" he said to himself.

After sometime

Veer rushed towards the lake but could not see her anywhere. He glanced around but found no signs of her. He walked around the whole area but she wasn't anywhere.

Vikram saw Kirti crying bitterly... he tried consoling her... "Don't worry we will find her"

Sameer and Uday looked for her everywhere "Vikram, I think she's not in the hostel and the college..."

"I hope she's not in any danger" murmured Sheetal...

Kirti cried again.. "She never listened to me... I don't know what I will tell mom and dad..."

Vikram consoled her "stop crying Kirti... I will go now and find her"

It was late night...

Veer thought of stepping out of the college premises and search outside. Principal had already filed a missing complaint with the local police authorities..

"Veer" he heard Sameer

"Did anyone find her?" Veer asked

Sameer could see Veer's worried face for the first time... "No... she's not in the hostel"

Veer looked concerned "I have to find her"

He said and walked towards the gates of the college...

Chapter 18

Veer was clogged by the security outside the college "without Principal's permission you cannot step outside the premises" one of the guard said...

Veer did not wanted to create a scene, he knew if he escaped in front of them, Principal will inform his Father and he has to stay under full security which he always hated.

"Fine" he said and went back to the hostel. Sameer followed Veer "where do you think she must have gone?"

Veer walked straight to his room...picked up a small bag and put his things.

Nakul lifted his eyes off the book "are you going somewhere?"

Veer was furious, he was not ready to talk to anyone. All he thought was how to find Aarti and where did she go. Not because he like her but considered her as his responsibility.

Then another thought created waves...does anyone knows about his relation with her. Aarti would not break her promise he knew. Without wasting another minute he opened the window, lifted the bag on his back and went down.

Sameer and Nakul saw Veer getting out of the hostel from the back side.

"I am not surprised" said Sameer

"But he should at least tell us. Do you think he loves Aarti?" Nakul replied

Sameer saw Veer fighting without any emotions but this time it was different "I don't think so he can love anyone"

Uday entered with a laptop, followed by Vikram "we must do something to find her"

Sameer took a deep breathe "no use... Veer has already gone"

"What??" said Vikram and left from there

It was pitch dark, all he could see was a little light far away... he thought the town won't be far from here. His first doubt was Ranga who must have kidnapped her. He will surely destroy him today.

After walking towards the little paths he entered the town. He crossed the big building when he heard some footsteps..

He hide himself behind the wall and took out a big chain, he was prepared to hold anyone coming this side.

The moment the footsteps reached the wall... Veer grabbed the person...

Ranga heard lots about him, he remembered what Gani had told him about Veer.

"... He has increased intelligence and is a genius, can run faster and is stronger than most guys his age ...His main abilities are mental.

He can turn the air around him into energy, and is able to direct it at people or objects in order to knock them backwards."

Ranga ordered his men to beat Veer "I want him dead today"

Veer came closer "Well, well, well," he said, cracking his knuckles and picking up a wooden stick from the ground. Ranga's eyes widen as he swung it through the air and cracked it down under his foot. A loud ringing noise was produced as the wood was dented by the tip. "It seems I have the upper foot."

Ranga raised his arm and shook his head. "Nope, my foot's higher than yours."

Ranga realise that it was a very stupid mistake, because in the next instant Veer had smashed his forearm with it, sending pain rocketing through his nerves. He couldn't ignore this one, screeching in agony. He stepped back and quickly examined himself by pulling his sleeve up, seeing a purple bruise forming. It didn't seem to be broken, but all his adrenaline made it hard to distinguish between anything but who his enemy was.

Ranga backed away frantically, until he felt the cold touch of the brick wall behind him. Dead end. There was no one in sight. He had already beaten his men almost to death.

"It's time you little kids learn to mind your business" Veer said with a growl. He was drawing ever closer, Ranga had to hurry.

"What are you?!" Ranga stepped back poised to run away.

" you're not getting off, that easily" Veer said, letting out a mighty yell.

Veer pulled him to his feet, almost tearing the collar... He heard the slight rasp of material ripping...

"Dying is a messy, bloody, ugly thing. I don't want to kill you" Veer said and pushed him against the wall.

"Where is the girl?" Veer snarled

Ranga couldn't stand on his feet "which girl?"

Ranga was lying on the ground, totally unaware of the last blowout he had on his face "my men kidnapped her...she..she is in that building" that was the last word he said and he fainted..

Veer jumped off their bodies and to enter the building that was locked... he climbed through the side pipe to reach its window... as soon as he hurdled inside he called out her name "Aarti"

There wasn't a single clue about her. He checked all the floors then went down to the basement that was utterly dark. Gradually he extended few steps when he heard her sobbing. "Aarti" he called again...

She tried moving but in vain. There was no sign of light. Neither could see each other.

"Aarti try to move a little" he said to make out exactly where she was sitting...

Veer took few steps when he felt something under his feet "Aarti, is that you"

He moved the dead body of a girl...but he was sure that won't be Aarti... he took another step when he heard her rubbing her feet against the ground...

He turned towards his right when he could feel somewhat.. He bend down to touch, her legs were tied badly, and his hands moved upwards towards her shoulders... her hands were tied from behind. Slowly he touched her face and tried to take out the cloth tied around her mouth... it was so dark he could not see the knot anywhere. Another instant he lifted her in his arms and walked outside...

He landed outside the basement and beheld her... her condition was bad.. He cut the cloth with his teeth around her mouth. She felt relieved and almost fainted. He slowly untied the hands and legs... he saw the scratches all over her body "did these guys tried to harm you?" he asked while looking around for water.

She could hardly speak but nodded in no.

He lifted her in his arms and walked towards the hostel. "I told you so many times that place near the lake is not safe, but you don't listen"

Slowly she tried to open her eyes but almost fatigued and slept with her head on his shoulder.

Vikram and Sameer has been waiting for Veer since long time... "I think we should go and see him" said Sameer

"No use...he must have rescued Aarti by now" Vikram replied...

After some time. They saw Veer coming towards the hostel

Both walked towards the gate

"Is she alright" Vikram observed Aarti who was in a bad condition... Veer did not say anything.

Next day

Police authorities arrested Ranga and his men. They were happy that Veer risked in own life to save her. But since he was involved with fights he still has to come to police station for further enquires.

Principal informed Veer's father about the incident that was not shocking for his Father. He advised to take Veer from the college since they cannot take his responsibility and if something happens to Veer than the whole college authorities will be in trouble.

Aarti opened her eyes and glanced around... her eyes were looking for him but she couldn't ask anyone. She had promised Veer.

"Thank God you are safe" Kirti hugged her

"We were so scared" Sheetal said.. While Aarti smiled a little "I am fine"

"But how did you landed there?" Vikram asked

"I went to that lake outside the college and few men were on a Jeep, they saw me and grabbed me inside the jeep. They tied my hands, legs and mouth, after that threw me in an isolated building. It was so dark and I just heard them talking about some kind of trade. After few hours Veer saved me." She said and watched everyone.

"Next time you are not stepping out of the college." Said Vikram and asked Kirti to look after her.

Everyone left so that Aarti can rest... but Aarti was still thinking about Veer... she was happy that he saved her. But she wanted to meet him and talk to him. She looked for a phone. She remembered her phone was lost somewhere. But how can she ask anyone to call Veer.. And no one mentioned anything about him. Her heart and mind was only with him. She had some bruises on her legs that made her difficult to walk. She thought of waiting for some time...

After few hours...

Sheetal came in... "How are you feeling now?"

Aarti smiled "I am much better..."

"That's good" Sheetal answered and went to pick up some books from the table

Aarti thought again and asked sheetal "I should thank Veer for helping me"

Sheetal looked at her injured friend who took his name "well yes" she said

"Sheetal can you dial Sameer's no and tell him I want to thank Veer. Please" Aarti said softly

Sheetal watched her "it's good that you want to thank him but"

"But" Aarti queried

"He is not in the college" Sheetal added.

Aarti was confused and worried "but why?"

"Aarti, he saved you from a big gang and now principal and all higher authorities think he has risked his life after beating that gang and obviously they might come again looking after Veer, and this can risk the other student's life as well... So"

"So?" Aarti angrily asked

"So he has been rusticated from the college, he left yesterday and we don't know where he is" Sheetal said and picked up her books.

Aarti's eyes blurred with tears... she never expected this. And he did not even see her once before leaving. She is responsible for this. She cried aloud.

3 years later

Time passed away... all the friends were together and it was the last day of the term.

It was a big day for everyone...all the students were getting ready to get their degrees...

Sheetal woke up, as usual she saw Aarti all ready and was about to leave "you are ready"

"Yes... finally getting out of here" Aarti said and left for college

She was changed. She never smiled and was least interested in anything besides her books. She forgot laughing years back. She did not talk much to anyone.

Everyone was ready for the picture

"Aarti at least smile..." Kirti said

But Aarti did not listen

"Where is my Aarti gone...?" Kirti sadly watched her sister without any expressions

"That Aarti died 3 years back" she replied

Kirti wiped her moist eyes

After sometime

Uday looked at Arjun who wasn't eating the samosa..."come on Arjun...you and not eating?"

"I am missing my friend today..." Arjun thought

"I would have drink a lot with him..." he added.

Uday and Sameer looked at him "Arjun, we all miss him...but we don't even know where he is. But we are sure one day we will definitely meet him"

Vikram and Kirti came towards the table "no one is eating?" Kirti asked

Nakul looked at Arjun "where is Kaviti, Kirti?"

Kirti smiled "hmm... so Arjun is waiting for Kavita?"

Arjun went red and stared at Nakul "God save you now..." he ran after him...

Everyone laughed...

Sheetal and Aarti looked at them laughing "what happened?" Sheetal asked

Sameer offered chairs to both...

"I have to go" Aarti said and left for hostel...

Everyone knew by now that she stopped talking after Veer left and held herself responsible for that.

"I don't know how to convince her to come back to life" kirti sobbed...

Vikram glanced at her "it will take time..."

"How much time? 3 years are not enough vikram?" she queried

"Calm down Kirti... I understand your pain..." Vikram consoled her.

Sameer thought something... "Anyways... we all are leaving tomorrow. But we have to make promise to meet every month"

Everyone agreed and were happy...

Few days later

Aarti was watering the plants when she received a call from Mumbai...

"I will join from next Monday sir" she said and kept the phone...

Aarti's mother Rama was concerned about her... she never thought in her life that her daughter would be so quiet, she remembered Aarti laughing, teasing and playing around but today she was not even talking to anyone.

"Aarti have your breakfast" Rama said.

Aarti looked at her and started eating without saying anything...

"I am leaving for Mumbai tomorrow." she said while eating.

"Mumbai...but why?" Rama queried totally surprised

"I have got a job there" Aarti replied.

"But you can work here" Rama said.

"No, I am leaving tomorrow" Aarti was adamant

Rama was angry at her Daughter's decision. But she knew Aarti is stubborn and won't listen to anyone. She thought of talking to Kirti

"But Mom... you think she will listen to me?" said Kirti

"What has happened to her...I really don't want her to go and work so far" said Rama with tears in her eyes

"Listen Mom..." said Kirti

"Aarti will not listen to anyone... I know her... so let her go" she added

Rama and Manmohan saw their Daughter packing up her stuff...

"Aarti." Rama said

"Mom... please, I can take care of myself" she said before Rama could say anything

Aarti had no emotions for anything.

She looked at her parents once and hugged them "my work is important"
