Five. Five boys were born with a certain spark about them. Immediately becoming fast friends unknowing of the politics they yet were to encounter. Magic very much was believed to either be complete demonic witchcraft or believed to be a myth parents told to instill passion in their children' dreams.

Ji Taeyang was a warlock. A warlock with secrets he seemed to keep close to himself. Especially when it came to magical politics. He bestowed magic on the five boys. A strong connection to magic was needed if his secret was to be nurtured... 

Taeyang sat across from two others. One a witch. The other a warlock. His siblings to be exact. Ji Haru & Ji Hwan. Twins were as Taeyang was the eldest of the three. "Oppa, what you've asked has never been done before. I am worried this will end horribly." Haru was worried her older brother was up to something nefarious.

Hwan nodded in agreement with their sister. "You'd be playing with the lives of those not realizing it, Hyung. It's wrong to use them for our benefit..." Taeyang smirked giving a little laugh, "그게 무슨 상관이야? 난 이미 그들에게 마법을... 그럼 왜 저는 그것으로 재미를 느낄 수 없을까요?" (What does it matter ? I already gave them magic... So why can't I have my fun with that ?) Haru stood up appalled by her older brother' attitude. Even being raised together couldn't change Taeyang' attitude.

"It is wrong ! Don't you understand that !? It is bad enough you gave them magic with this in mind !" Hwan immediately agreed. Taeyang was just doing as he pleased without consequence... However, this would effect all warlocks & witches. "Haru is right, Hyung. Let's end this discussion here..."

Taeyang rolled his eyes as he now was standing as well. Hwan still being seated. He didn't want to let this go. He wanted them to simply agree to what he was proposing. "It is essential. Elder warlocks & witches did this. So why is it wrong that I asked ?"

Haru sighed as she hated arguing with her older brother. "그건 사실이야, 오빠... 늙은 마법사와 마녀들은 조상의 마법과의 가장 강력한 연관성을 결정하는 수단으로 게임을 시행했습니다. 당신이 요구하는 것은 죽음으로 끝날 것입니다..." (That is true, Oppa... The elder warlocks and witches enacted the game as a means of determining the strongest connection to the ancestor' magic. What you are asking will only end with death...) Hwan grabbed his brother' hand to calm the tension in the room. Hoping to make his see reason. "

Taeyang removed his hand from the grasp of his younger brother. His expression completely serious & void of anything else. "Choose your champions... I will choose mine as well..." He paused for a few moments as he smirked once more, "Then the game will be set."

Haru & Hwan watched from the trees where they were concealed. Watching the five frolic & play together. Being children... "We can't stop him... We each must choose a champion, Hwan." They both hated this. The game was the last thing they wanted to start. Hwan nodded once more as they carefully looked over the five. 

"I'll choose first. Okay ?", Hwan offered as to take some of the burden off of his sister' shoulders. While looking over the five for a few moments he came to his conclusion. "I choose Beomgyu as my champion." Haru took a deep breath as she needed to choose her own now. Neither knowing of who Taeyang would be choosing.

A few more moments passed before Haru shed a tear. A tear she knew she would let fall. It signified just how conflicted she was over making this choice at all. "I choose... Uh, I choose..." Hwan nudged her gently, "Take your time. There is no rush..."

Soon enough she brought herself to say it. "I choose Yeonjun." Taeyang quickly made his choice. He didn't have to think much about it. He already knew who he wished to pick. Taeyang chose Taehyun. This leaving both Soobin & Kai as secondary champions. 

The secondary champions could only sacrifice themselves once for a champion before being forfeited. Luckily for them they'd just leave the game unharmed.

Taeyang laughed to himself before saying, "게임이 곧 시작됩니다." (The game will soon begin.)
