As me and Kaoru were walking through town I noticed something peculiar, it seemed like someone was following me, but whenever I turned around everyone was going about their business. After a while Kaoru suddenly told me, "Hey, I want to show you something." He pulled me through an alley and we came upon a clearing between the buildings. I immediately felt defensive, because there was only one exit. I looked at Kaoru who had his hair covering his eyes, "What did you want to show me?" He muttered something under his breath then a flaming whip appeared in his hand. "Wh-what are you doing? Aren't we allies?" I nervously asked him. He responded by saying, "How do I know that I can trust you?" He was calm and still as a statue. He cracked the whip, disintegrating part of a building. "Wa-wait what are you doing!?" I frantically inquire. "Bye..." He said emotionless. It must have been a signal because moments later thick roots quickly blocked an aerial escape and a Quartz Wielder appeared at the only exit. "Why?" I pleaded to Kaoru. The only response was a line of flame slashing along my leg. I immediately felt the pain explode through my lower body, destroying what focus I had. I only knew one thing at this point ' I am going to die... '

The Quartz Wielder smirked at me and conjured an icy wind. The small pieces of ice dug at my skin and I was soon covered in bleeding cuts. I tried to transform or use my power, but to no avail. The pain was too great, I could not muster the focus to even stand. The fight was completely one sided. From my position nothing could be done but to hope for a quick death. As the icy wind, flaming strikes, and wooden spikes destroyed my flesh I thought 'Why did I trust him...' I finally collapse and start disappearing...
