Over the next few days I learned that my ally's name was Kaoru-kun and his power was "Maō" it allowed him to use fire and to be heat resistant, also we didn't encounter anyone since our battle with root boy. When we checked the place where we fought him there was no evidence of our clash. The only interesting thing was when, after a few days we went outside the forest only to find a new village with gray snowy brick walls and the river running through it. When we went to investigte, we found atleast six players milling around at the stores. Some were even doing magic shows for the villagers to earn some money. Even the man we fought earlier was sitting in a bar drinking. When we walked pass he didn't even notice. It seemed that everyone in the town was carefree, and it was easy to see why. When I tried to turn invisible it only worked in some areas. Anyway I am surprised it exists, when I was here before there was nothing, only grass. I look at the town hall and find that the town's name is Jöten. The town had a variety of shops, I even found a shop that sold tamed beasts. Some of them looked very useful, I didn't buy anything for two reasons. One I had no money, and two the beasts could be summoned as familiars later. So there was no reason for me to get one, but Kaoru-kun had other plans. "We need to get some money!" He yelled at the top of his lungs, and I answered with a "Well how do you suppose we get some?" He looked as though he was thinking then pointed at a flyer. It said "Welcome all Affinity wielders, I will be hosting a tournament style contest where the winner gets a fully stocked warehouse!" After I am finished reading kaoru practically yells " Maybe there is some money there!" I say probably and then I check the location, "Jöten recreational center".

For the next few days we scout around the forest for our daily meals and do routine hunting for money. This will help us get some equipment for the upcoming contest. When the day comes we will be ready.
