AMDF (Anti-Mutant Defense Force) was formed as the government's response to the mutant outbreak and the events witnessed on November 3rd, 2036. It had a brief period of major activity while America erupted into chaos, they captured and interrogated any mutants that they found. They also analyzed the body of the Man with Wings, who had shot himself in the head after killing the president.

Then when president Jonathan M. Sanguire won the presidential election of 2048, he moved the organization to work in the underground layers of the government, and report almost directly into him and no one else.

People started started disappearing, others started dying. Nobody had any clue why.
